  1. This has to be the funniest thread i have ever read, I'm having to wipe the tears out of my eyes.
  2. The federal turkey loads with the flight control wad shoot tighter,it will say on the box " Flight control wad" 4 dollar a shell heavy shot is the only thing i have found to pattern better.
  3. I vote no on the barska had one of the swat scopes thats suppose to be 50 cal rated but there not. It lasted about 3 rounds.
  4. Well lets hear some results. My huntin partner shot a nice tom 11'' beard, inch and a quarter spurs probley weighed around 10 to 12 pounds nice bird. None for me this year but thats ok we had some great hunts. The weather wasnt the best but had a great time anyway. How did everybody else do outa state?
  5. Black linen Micarta i guess thats the same as the the g10 you can get them in a bunch of different textures. Thats what i've got on mine they are nice they were about 30 bucks if I remember.
  6. Its a good class, you will be drinking the Glock cool aid after you see how simply the Glock is made. Most parts interchangable but there is nothing to break realy.
  7. No its easy to get, its the price, the turkey tag is $100.00 bucks by its self.
  8. Headin down to Suwannee Co, Florida for the opening its a good time but the out of state turkey tag is awfull.
  9. Well the Governor signed HB2376/SB2334 on the 4th of this month so no more guns get destroyed. If your not familier with this law it states that confiscated weapons can no longer be destroyed they must be sold saving thousands of guns from the melter.
  10. I've got a 1970's 700 and its one of my favorite rifles, the 243 is almost a do it all caliber. I reload for it so that realy helps with the versatility .If I was getting a new one I would take a look at the tikka t3 lite, they are light and the bolts are as smooth as they come. The savages with the accu trigger are nice to, I've got a 10fp in 308 thats a tack driver but its heavy and you will probley want to change the stock as soon as you get it. There factory synthetic stocks are crap.
  11. I,ve tested alot and I prefer the 124 grain in speer gold dot but the remington golden sabre are good and the winchester sxt are good to. The winchester sxt were the only ones that performed expansion wise everytime in the .40 cal ,havent tested the 9mm but i would say it is just as good. Anything in 115 would be my last choice for carry.
  12. For anyone who has either one of these, I would like your thoughts on them. I am thinking about getting one or the other mainly for a turkey gun but I would also like to be able to shoot clays with it if i wanted to. I have heard the 935 which is a 3.5 chamber is not very reliable with 2.75 inch shells. Any thoughts one way or the other would be helpfull. Thanks.
  13. Looks good those knoxx stocks work great.
  14. I had a mosquito it felt good in the hand but would only shoot stingers reliably and i tried everything i could think of to make it run and it wouldnt so i got rid of it and bought the best semi auto 22 ever made the beretta model 87 cheetah . The slide feels like its on ball bearings and will shoot anything you put in it with a nice double/ single action trigger. They are just a bit on the expensive side.
  15. I have a springfield standard stainless and a kimber custom II . The main difference is the springer is not as smooth and will not feed hollowpoints and the kimber is very smooth and will feed anything and has a better trigger. Both are great guns the loaded is probley just as good as the kimber. I would save a little more and get the springfield TRP operator. They are supose to be made in the usa and hand fitted parts for a semi custom gun instead of a parts bin gun.
  16. I had a 870 super mag and sold it because the quality just didnt seem to be there and there is realy no need for a 3.5 chamber. They have ruined the newer 870's by putting cast parts in them. That super i had, had a cast pot metal extractor on it. I got a older 870 and put a 21'' barrel on it with rem chokes. I'm a remington fan but i'm leaning more towards the mossbergs after that last remington. I'm thinking about a mossy 930 with 24'' barrel accu-choke.
  17. Those are great guns perfect turkey killers, sounds like you got a great deal. As far as no slugs, as long as you dont have a extra full choke in it you should be fine nothing more than a modified choke with slugs is my preferance. I've never heard that about that model , I'll have to do a little research on it.Ok mossberg says those barrels are overbored to 10 gauge to reduce recoil so slugs should not be used because they could turn and become lodged in the barrel. I can't see this happening but its up to you. A slug barrel is probley about 150 bucks for it.
  18. Its a bayley knife custom made for him i think somone said they cost around 700 us. You beat me to it
  19. Not yet when it starts warming up I will start getting the fever. There are a ton of birds around here. If you can find some that dont have alot of pressure on them and you do your part your good to go. Just about any patch of woods around here holds turkey. I even had some in my back yard and i dont live that far out of knoxville.
  20. Thats funny " we request that you comply " which means we cant do anything about it if you dont.
  21. Tell us exactly what is happening. Is the slide comming back and halfway stripping the round but not putting it into the chamber is that right ?
  22. There is no one from interpol that's going to be arresting anyboby there is no such thing as international arrest powers. I dont know anybody that works for interpol and i work with all the fed agency's on a daily basis and there's no one from interpol that i've ever seen or heard of. I'll double check just to make sure. But like I said I belive its still just a information clearing house. according to there web site they only empoly 550 people and they are scatteered out in all different countries. The second link is what there role is in fugitive apprehension--They send out a bulletin abou that person. Don't get me wrong i dont like any of the stuff thats going on right now and i say we definatly have to keep an eye on them up in wash because they are going to continue to screw us over but everything that comes out is not as threatening as it seems is my point. http://www.interpol.int/public/icpo/default.asp http://www.interpol.int/Public/Wanted/fugitiveInvestServ.asp
  23. I read this on another site and what doesnt make any sense is that interpol is not a physical department there are no officers that work for interpol its only a computer database system for international criminal tracking. Thats why this sounds like BS to me.
