  1. Looks nice, what barrel are you going with?
  2. Just saw this on Facebook. every gun guy knows who he was.   http://rt.com/news/kalashnikov-dies-inventor-ak-47-887/
  3. I'd suggest the Knoxx stock as well. You wont have to stock another caliber, which you don't want and your girlfriend would be able to shoot 12 gauge without being terrified of the recoil. Then again if you are rich and want to spoil her buy her a Bennelli.

    SCAR heavy

The other day I got a chance to go and shoot the SCAR heavy, and so much fun. The rifle is very well made, my first impression was, it has almost no kick for a big round. Shooting it was very manageable, the trigger being a bit heavy though. Once we got the suppressor back on shooting it got even more fun, however it got heavy very fast so shooting it off hand was tiring. However with it on, it was a breeze to shoot on full auto, the bursts were predictable and barely much of a muzzle rise.  Also shot an AK47, man I had forgotten how much fun they were shooting at full auto, I don't get it when people say, it is hard to control on full auto. However the disappointing thing was the shorty suppressed m4, it did not like the the GI mags on full auto, it would only shoot one burst at full auto then it would jam with a round in chamber, which needed to be ejected and then the selector put on semi to just shoot single rounds.
  5. Contact the credit agencies and challenge the charge. By not paying it you are not helping your credit score either, since it keeps showing as not paid and still owing.
  6. I started this thinking I am going to recommend the Remy 700 or Savage model 10 but as I was scrolling down, another rifle came to mind that I believe would be the best choice for your needs. Consider the FN AR, a little above your price range but I am sure you can find one used closer to your price range. The reason I am not recommending the model 700 is the price for the mags, I have one with a removable mag and 5 round mags are close to $50. The FN AR takes a 20 round detachable mag, priced much lower than the 5 round Remy mag, offers almost the same accuracy out of the box,(1moa) with a much faster rate of fire, and come in 308 win which can handle any game you wanna hunt in TN.
  7. I know for spouses if there is no answer for 6 months it would be considered abandonment, grounds for divorce. Therefore I am thinking maybe something like that would be true for the kids as well if he is not responding. I am not sure about Tn laws, but in Ca, the state provided medical care for kids under 18 if parents were unable or did not have insurance. Kids need a good family environment to be able to grow into responsible adults and useful members of the society, it seems that it is better for them if they are not with their POS father. Check with a lawyer for better advice to become the lawful guardian.
  8. I usually don't partake in these kinds of topics, I am a true believer of letting people having their own opinions, as long as those opinions are not harmful to others. People from all faiths do retarded things, notice I said people not religions. Religions are there to guide people, it is people who go and the get the instructions all wrong and lose their ways. I know these days a certain number of Muslims are not making the life for the rest any easier, but that does not mean all Muslims are bad, this can be said about ALL religious groups. I saw the following link and thought maybe this would give those with open minds something to consider.   https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151469002676644&set=vb.653316643&type=2&theater
  9. An oldie but goodie, you can always trade your old 44 for a new 22.
  10. What is it that you are selling? Because you first need to see if it is legal for sale in Ca or not, you can find that out from the FFL your buyer chooses. The FFL would tell you if they accept shipping from private parties or if you have to go through another FFL in TN.
  11. That chart could not be more wrong. Besides the service life there are many more inaccuracies.

    AK 74 Issue

Just in case it is not a mag issue, doesn't Waffen Werks stand behind their merchandise? Contact them about the issue if the different mags don't fix it, and have them fix whatever is wrong with the weapon. Make sure to have them send you shipping label so you won't have to pay out of pocket.

    Women in combat ?

I believe in the equality of the sexes. Throughout history women have fought alongside men or by themselves, Amazons, and Viking Shield maidens are more familiar with the western culture. When I was in there were female Marines who used to go to the field with us, and most performed their duties well. The reason we did not have females in the combat MOS's had something to do with hygiene which females needed in order to avoid certain illness which I don't remember the name of. I say if females want to and are qualified for combat MOS's, let them. However one thing pops to mind, and that is if they get captured that is a huge PR win for the enemy.  30-50 is old for main combat troops, as many have said, the younger the better, I used to say, the Marines need young, willing, and reckless people, they older one gets hopefully the smarter they get, and smart people are not so willing to just charge the hill.  As for carrying the gear, the American service member is lucky to have all this gear, let the rest of the world fight naked, I want my body armor and what not when I go outside the wire. I'd rather be tired and safe that going home in a box.
  14. I carry a sawed off shotguns, because it makes the bad guys fly backwards.       (in the movies ofcourse)
  15. Are we that big of prudes here? Those girls were properly dressed.    For OP, congrats on the Tavor, post some pics later.
  16. Great save!!! I want a colt python for $100, what a lucky guy.
  17. I carry condoms because herpagonasyphelis would hurt.   I carry a hat because the sun burn my bald head.
  18. I have seen all kinds of gun break, some faster than the others, but I have never seen a Glock run hundreds of thousands, I have seen them start breaking springs in around 5k rounds. I am not saying they are not good guns, fixing them is easy. The only other handguns besides HKs that I have seen that have run actually hundreds of thousands of rounds and still function properly are, Springfield TRP Operator and Beretta PX4 Storm.
  19. The HK USP series hands down is the best handgun. They might not be the most ergonomic or have the best trigger, but they would out last any handgun out there. I have seen Glocks break their trigger rest springs and be come useless and same goes with many other guns. The one part that breaks on a USP after 10s of thousands of rounds is the flat spring, and even so it still keeps shooting in double action, no other pistol can claim that much awesomeness :)
  20. They are well made handgun, from what i remember the fit was good, but I can't remember the trigger pull.

    308 AR barrels

Maybe it is me, but I can't find any AR 10 barrels on their site :(

    308 AR barrels

If I am not mistaken, I think they are using Lothar Walther barrels on the M110, and at that price with a matched bolt it is much less expensive than the JP barrels. I'd have to research that.

    308 AR barrels

Awhile back I bought a MA-TEN lower+upper combo with the modular hand guards, now I am thinking of building it up. I was wondering what kind of barrels do you all run. I am thinking of running at least a 20 inch ultra match grade barrel from rainier arms. Has anyone have any experience with these barrels, good or bad? I'm open to other suggestions.   Added later: I had totally forgot that I was originally considering JP barrels, just have to figure out if I am gonna go with a 20 or 22 inch barrel.
