  1. There are many fixed blades that would fit the bill. Becker, ESEE Izula or Izula II, Buck, my favorite so far is an Izula II, it's about as large as I want to go. http://www.the-knife-connection.com/esee-knives--izula-ii.html This would work but sharpening might be a challenge. http://www.the-knife-connection.com/tops-lilfix-tplfix01.html Becker http://www.the-knife-connection.com/bkt-beckneck-bk11.html

    Bersa .380

I have had a BT .380 for years. Over 700 reliable rounds through it. I recently picked up the CC version in a bulk gun buy, haven't shot it yet. Mags, standard and extended. With extended magazine. 9+1. First trip to the range first target. Virtually no recoil. It was my first semiauto and still travels with me 9 years later.
  3. The oldest are late 50s and the most recent Golden is 1969. First group photo.
  4. You bet. The Micarta is gray, turned sort of blue in the lighting. I think before I use it, I'm going to dye the scales black. Due to the porosity of the Micarta Ritz Dye can be used and it's easy to do. It doesn't bleed afterward.
  5. I really like these Marlin 39A since I got my first Mountie. I haven't found anymore carbine length 39M, but I did round up a couple of nice As. One from a neighbors estate sale and the other from a Feller in east TN on another Forum. If they are 90% or better and under $400 I'm buying. This one came with a Weaver 4X. Squirrel sniper rifle. This one came with a nice brass Simmons, and FO front sight. JM extender and a cool leather sling. The first a Mountie leading me down Highway 39.
  6. Stopped at SMKW last week. I checked out their ESEE collection. All the ESEEs were on sale so basically the were priced like the Interweb prices. Best of all immediate gratification. This is one hell of a knife. Well balanced and great feel. I like the liners, I think I'm going to dye the scales black.
  7. Good choice. I was at SMKW last Thursday and all the ESSEs were on sale. Probably reducing inventory in anticipation of Blade Show releases.
  8. Looks good. If I didn't already have an AR10 I would consider it. I will pass along the word though.
  9. You going to use that beast or make it a safe queen. Nice.
  10. Not a ultralight but in your price range a Gerber like this would serve you well at around $40. Some will deride them but for the money I think they are a decent folder. Here is the 2014 version. 3.6 ounces. I like the FAST assist. The have both serrated and non. http://www.knife-depot.com/knife-295113.html
  11. The Spyderco Native is a good knife at a reasonable price. It's my second choice for EDC. I am a under $100 dollar for a folder type. http://www.knifecenter.com/item/SP41PBK/Spyderco-Native-Folding-Knife-3-116-inch-S30V-Satin-Plain-Blade-Black-FRN-Handles

I picked this one up for $60.
  13. Nice trio. I'm always on the lookout for these classics.
  14. Agree with John C. Nikon M308 with base ain't bad. I found that it was a good value in the price range I was seeking. I wanted max eye relief for the high power on my AR10.
  15. SB 1496 passed in the Senate yesterday!! Contact your Representative for support in the House. SB 1496 Tennessee Senate Bill Firearms and Ammunition - As introduced, permits a person with a handgun carry permit to carry a firearm in any state, county or municipal park or other recreation area; deletes provisions allowing local governments to prohibit carrying in parks by resolution or ordinance. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13. ★ Login to follow this bill View latest bill text
  16. Flexx Strops get good reviews. http://www.usamadeblade.com/Flexxx-Strops_c28.htm http://jungletraining.com/forums/showthread.php?28051-Flexxx-Strops-Pro-and-Sig-Series This is interesting reading. I use the best leather I can find to bring your knives a mean sharp edge, not only will a good strop define ... The guy that sharpened a few of my knives uses Flexxx.
  17. Glad it worked well for you. My hand and finger wouldn't survive a 40 round range session with my LWS 380. About two magazines and I'm ready to move on to something a bit more civil.
  18. Stainless Steel 4.20" 9.50" 38.00 oz. $899.00
  19. My only Beretta handgun. I really like the Beretta Home Defense semi auto shotgun, despite its low capacity. Clean look, lightweight. Great to see the jobs.
  20. Demand is diminishing supply is increasing. Sell it it or be stuck with it at high prices. I'm not sure why having a boatload and reselling would be a issue?
  21. Eli at GST is clearing out some gear and many Kydex sheaths many for ESEE knives. Eli is a great guy to work with and is a Kydex Master. http://jungletraining.com/forums/showthread.php?31102-Godspeeds-Gear-amp-Knife-Sale Here is his Website. http://www.godspeedtactical.com
