  1. Thanks. The little one came out especially nice. The blade just clicks home.
  2. The rule of law... Not gonna happen while liberals are in office. The law applies only when they want to use it against their enemies.
  3. Will do, but it is going to be a few days... I am about two weeks behind at this point....
  4. I am repairing an old leather case for a set of binoculars. They are about 60 years old, marked 'Made in occupied Japan'. There is a makers mark I can't really make out... Maybe a KLi? something in a triangle and circle. Anyway, the view through these things is fantastic. Better than my Hensoldt & Wetzlaars, which are pretty good german optics. If you run across a pair of Glory 16x50's in good shape, don't pass them by.
  5. It is a helluva knife. And I'm glad you are happy witb the sheath. Please keep me in mind for your future dead cow needs.
  6. Boyds does indeed have a finished walnut buttstock for $65. Likewise a matching forearm. https://www.boydsgunstocks.com/FindAStock?Make=3Y&Model=B81&Action=76&Shape=15&Finish=1
  7. Does sound like specialised work. Would love to be a fly on the wall when upper management enquires of HR where and how they intend to restaff what sounds like an entire department on short notice.
  8. Bics don't work in freezing temps. Zippos are great unless the wick gets wet, but you can count on it running out of fluid when you need it worst. Fire pistons are great for lab demonstrations. Flint and steel with some charcloth and you're good to go, if you don't mind carrying a rock. Ferro rods may just be the way to go, if you can get a flame from a spark.
  9. Like Dundee said, now that's a knife. I have it in hand now, so to speak. Very nice indeed....
  10. Told GT I needed on of those magnetic parts trays. Would hate to lose it in the carpet :D
  11. Forcing me to choose between my conscience and the law is a good thing why exactly? If a doctor has moral qualms about performing an abortion, they refer you to someone who doesn't. Apparently they should have their license pulled? Florists and bakers, priests and pizza shop owners are discovering that tolerance isn't enough, they must celebrate. This will not end well.
  12. The story should end with the shooter being presented with a cash award and certificate of appreciation. I'd contribute to a fund set up for that purpose... And just imagine the popping noises of liberal heads exploding all over the country! Win win, amiright?
  13. Colt is owned and managed by financiers that could give two hoots about the industry. They are lining up to 'purchase' the company from themselves (for the second time, I think). In the process they will skin current bondholders and lenders, get a new bunch of suckers to finance it for them, pull the cash that will be generated into their pockets and continue running the company as they have been for the last 20 years. Colt is nothing but a cash cow for hedge fund managers.
  14. Thanks. I am convinced that without that aftermarket steel rear bumper he would have been in my back seat. Boy did I complain when I installed that heavy... son of a gun. Not complaining now, though.
  15. Thwmtowing operator used to run a body shop... He said it would be a simple fix for my jeep. Just cut it in half right behind the drivers door and weld on a donor rear end. Not sure he was joking.... USAA is making encouraging noises; mostly waiting for the police report.
