  1. Trouble doesn't make an appointment, and that means it's no respecter of location either. I ALWAYS carry to church, as do several other church members. The pastor stopped me one Sunday morning, thanked me, and told me he felt safer knowing I and some others were prepared.
  2. Why not? They ride bikes and motor scooters around here. I keep looking for the B&W Priuses to appear...
  3. Since when is "need" a prerequisite to buying a new knife, or even a new gun? Purty blade, man.

  5. This is why I don't use ATM's.
  6. Does this mean that the Kershaw Speed Safe knives are illegal to carry in TN?
  7. My dad has been recently diagnosed with vascular dementia. He will be 88 years old Wednesday. He is a WWII Vet who flew a P-47 Thunderbolt in the Pacific Theater. He had a brain bleed back in July that has gotten progressively worse and we think he has had some small strokes since then, exacerbating the condition. He has been shuffled back and forth between the hospital and rehab and today will be transported to an Alzheimers/Memory Care facility because it is clear that he cannot go home. Anyone here ever had to deal with this with a parent or other family member?
  8. It is, indeed, a Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy": Back to the Future Part III - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database
  9. A fake pizza from Bella Napoli in Cool Springs. Tasted like cardboard. Don't waste your money. Besides, they are posted.
  10. I was on my way to Brentwood for an appointment with a placement agency. My job was being deleted on Sep 30. I had just turned on the radio and Rick and Bubba were talking about something horrible that had just happened, but I was having a hard time determining what it was as they weren't giving specifics. About that time the second plane hit and I realized we were under attack. I had to pull off the road to gather my thoughts. When I got to the agency, they had it on the television and I couldn't believe my eyes. Everyone was stunned and speechless.
  11. Congo rats. I have the Firestorm 22. Great little plinker.
  12. Used to have ADT; switched several years ago to Advanced Alarm Tech. Much cheaper and great service.
  13. Which leather holster did you decide on?
  14. Yes, sir. Whatever you say, sir.
  15. I'll be carrying on 9/11 just as I do every other day of the year.
  16. I don't think it's ever appropriate for a student to swear at a teacher. Doesn't matter what the teacher's agenda is. They will only use this against him and ignore the context in which it was used. This is what the left does - use ANYTHING they can to destroy their enemy, fair or not, true or not. I know hindsight is 20/20, but a simple "you'll have to discuss that with my parents", followed by silence would have sufficed.
  17. Or swimming pools, as that is one of the leading causes of death for young children.
  18. We have some really STUPID people teaching our children.
  19. I have to agree with this. I was assuming that the "none of your damn business" response was embellished for effect. If he used those exact words, then that's not good.
  20. You taught him well. He deserves a reward for that.
  21. This in a leather IWB holster: This in either a pocket holster or Desantis Apache ankle rig: Then there's the Spyderco Grasshopper, Spyderco Tenacious, wallet, keys, and Microstream flashlight.
  22. Listed under Anti-Gun Corporations/Corporate Heads, 5th one down: http://www.nraila.org/issues/factsheets/read.aspx?id=15 They won't see a dime of my money.
  23. It's my opinion and my choice, bkelm18. Doesn't have to be yours.
  24. Last time I checked, Ben and Jerry's is a liberal, anti-second amendment corportation, so they won't be getting my business. I don't care how good their ice cream is. And, really, an ice cream named Schweddy Balls? No class.
