It's from L.A Police Gear... their brand. Bought it on Closeout for $29 bucks plus Shipping. It's pretty well made. Actually better than I thought it would be. I didn't have high hopes for $29 bucks. It's holding up... "okay". The waist buckle has already broke, to be honest though he caught it in the door jam of the truck but after it broke I could see it was pretty thin plastic. I'm replacing it. I think it will work find for him, or anyone else that is just lugging the thing here and there. (car to house / house to work, etc.) I wouldn't use it for backpacking (got a kelty coyote for that). Decent kick around bag though in my opinion. Well worth the money we spent for it. And holding up better than any other school backpack I've ever bought him. Usually those don't last the whole year! ====== Edit ====== Just checked... they still have the packs. Here is a LINK, they are also running 10% off coupon code, even on the closeout stuff. Black is only color left though

I almost bought that exact bag from 5.11 a few months ago!! I was just unsure how it would work. It would have worked for him for school and generally through the day but I wanted one that we could pack extra supplies in if we would be out all day and maybe an extra day or two. So far we're really happy with this one.

My son was in ICU for three days, a reg room for another when he was diagnosed with Type I. I have good insurance, but I am still paying the bills. With no interest, direct to the doctors and hospital. They have been great! We have payment plans. We had to cut back, but that is life. This is a power grab. Plain and simple. If you really think any politician stays up late at night worrying about your child or mine... I would suggest that you are wrong. They do not know you or me, nor do they care. I typically don't get involved here about political philosophies... and I fear I will regret posting to this thread.

Condor EMT Rip Away Pouch - Link to product <-- Full description on their site and better pictures> My son's and I dropped by Green's Military and Police Supply on a whim this past weekend and I bumped across this bag. Was really impressed with it so I thought I would mention it here. We bought it for $23 bucks. It is made by "Condor". I have not heard of them so I am unsure of how long it will last. It will be used used for my son's Diabetic supplies (He's Type I.) so not only is it going to be used everyday (at least four times a day) it's going to be drug all over the place, so later I should be able to let you know how well it is going to hold up. (It looks pretty well made for our uses.) First off the bag... It has the molle attachments made on it and allows for you to rip the molle "plate" off the bag. This makes it very handy for me because my son's school backpack has the molle stuff. This allows him to just "rip" the kit off once he gets to school.(Has to leave the kit with the nurse.) Now for the inside... It tri-folds out and has the usual elastic stuff to keep things in place as well as pockets. A close up of the "left panel"... Two pockets (one with a velco strap), 3 elastic "loops" for stuff as well two "circle loops" in the corners to tie things to. Currently this side is holding: • "Lantis" insulin pen • "Naova Log" insulin Pen • Alcohol Pads & a few bandaids (in the pocket behind elastic) • Glueclose Tables (Fruit flavored!) • Glueclose Meter • Glueclose Strips for meter • Lancent Pen A close up of the "middle panel"... This side has numerous elatstic bands, some sewn on top of each other. The run in the opposite direction and has a pouch behind them. Currently this side is holding: • 2008 Carb Counting Book • 3 packs of sugar free drink packets for water • Pen & Carb sheet • Emergency Glucagon Syringe The fold out panel... This part is a zippered mess bag that folds out. It is very easy to flip back into the and zip the kit back up without snagging. I was afraid of that. Currently this side is holding: • Pen Needle Caps • Lancets • Extra Alcohol Pads • A few Syringes • Couple of extra bandaids Not shown but also backed in there was a pack of peanut butter and crackers and an 8 oz. orange juice. Here is the bag attached to my son's backpack. We carried the bag all over Opryland hotel all day Saturday and it was with us all day Sunday. It worked very well. Very easy to get in and out of quickly. Nothing spills out. Plus my son loves the "look" of it. (At 13 he considers himself a "Tacical Diabetic"... becuase he can shoot (take insulin) on the move. LOL!! The bag so far seems to be one of the better bags we have tried to use for this type of thing. Obviouly it is designed with first aid needs in mind but I was impressed how well all our stuff fit in there. For day to day use some items won't be in there (carb book, so many extra lancets, etc.) We were away at Opryland for teh weekend so we had to carry even more than what was pictured in the kit as well (extra strips, another vile of insulin (we were going to have to replace) addional pen needles, etc.) Fir the non-diabetic it seems to me this would make a fine bag to keep first aid stuff in for around the house, car or boat. It's pretty easy to lug around and my son attached a strap from another diabetic kit to the "D" rings so he could throw it over his shoulder. Overall... I really like it.

Bwahahaha!! She liked her... M&P compact very much too. Until she shot a Bersa .380 and was able to hit better with it. So it looks like I will be buying her a Bersa and rotating the 9c to me for a summer gun. If these had been out back when I bought my Hk compact... I doubt I would have gotten the HK. (Though I do love it! But it's the truth.)

I really like my wife's.

BBC News is also reporting it as well. Snippets worthy to note... "The use of the phrase 'the special relationship' in its historical sense, to describe the totality of the ever-evolving UK-US relationship, is potentially misleading, and we recommend that its use should be avoided," the committee said. "A Foreign Office spokeswoman said the British media's "preoccupation" with the state of the relationship was often at the "expense of coverage of the more substantive aspects of the relationship". "It doesn't really matter whether someone calls it 'the special relationship' or not," she said. "What matters is that the UK's relationship with the US is unique, and uniquely important to protecting our national security and promoting our national interest." "Over the longer-term, the UK is unlikely to be able to influence the US to the extent it has in the past."

You may be right, I think I am getting those models confused. I have shot the J frames, it's just the airweight J frames I didn't care for. I have shot a colt detective special and liked it the most. Put about 30 rounds through it. It is one gun I really would like to own one day. The weight, size, balance and trigger pull just seemded right for me. I have some stuff I need to get rid of this this spring, I'm hoping to roll that money into a new (or more likely pre-enjoyed ) pistol.
-
It would be ironic if Democratic senators and congressmen started hiring Xe(Formerly Blackwater) to provide security.
-
I have shot the airweights and have friends that carry them. Just don't enjoy shooting them. Obviously, it would mainly be for carrying but anything I carry I like to try and shoot often. Use to have an old Taurus model 85 with no hammer spur. Carried it everywhere with little problem. Weight didn't bother me any and it shot fine. Have nothing against them. Wife has a S&W Model 27 with an 8 and 3/8" inch barrel her Dad gave her. Grew up shooting my Dad's Ruger Security Six 2" 357. Got a Marlin lever in .357 and shoot both through it. Just happen to like a small... but decently weighted snubby. Most .357s snubbys seem to be a little bulky. *I realize the irony here. After re-reading this I think I am starting to sound more like Goldylocks. "And then she picked up the ruger... and it was too heavy... then she picked up the S&W Airweight and it was too light. Thyen she picked up the Colt Dectective Special! And it was Juuuuuust Right! LOL!!!

Please remeber my family in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm very sorry to hear that. We'll remember both you and your family. -
You stay classy Biden.

Ahhhh... okay. I get it now. That is why on gun broker they call them "mod 60 no dash". If I am going to have to save up for a used snubby that isn't +P rated... then I guess I just ought to save up for a Colt detective special. Thanks guys. (This really is one of TGO's strengths! Getting info like this. )

Guess they don't make them anymore in .38 then. (Bummer!)
-
Bwahahaha!!! I love that!!
-
I shot one of these this past weekend. My friend has had it basically forever. Really liked the weight and how it felt. Trigger pull was very smooth and nice. (oh yeah, 2" barrel) Are these no longer made in .38? I noticed on S&W's site they had them in .357 only. Also are these older ones easy to find used? (Gun shows, pawn shops, etc.) Any idea what a decent price range would be for one? Wouldn't mind having one if I could pull the funds together. (Which isn't easy right now.) (Not really a fan of the airweights BTW)

From what I have read it is a very strong rumor with no one wanting to go officially on the record about it.
-
A better response would be "Good luck getting confirmed as the head of NASA, or any other federal appointment for that matter."

Ain't that the truth!!! -
That is a really nice review! Thanks for posting it. I have often wondered what was logical for a regular guy to have around. I would guess 99% of us are not "operators"... I would suspect most of us would fall into the "Tactical-Dad" (or "Tactical-Mom") categories. I've often thought if I was ever able to take the Carbine Class with C.I.S. what would I do for a rig. Can't really justify the cost for something I'd only use once. This system makes a lot of practical sense to me.

Only if he can get confirmed.
-
Seems like more and more people are getting that way... me included.

I called the local Muffersboro office (couldn't get through to the washington number yesterday). I am not happy. He took a bribe, he sold his vote, he turned his back on the voters and I wish there was some way he could be brought up on charges. The only thing I find comforting is that the Republicans are vowing to hold any confirmations to federal appointments for these guys. But on the other hand... Obama could always appoint him a czar over NASA.
