  1. I had a new mustang as a rental last year. It reminded me more of my '68 Camaro than what is being produced. The inside made me feel like I was sitting in my old Camaro... the round vents, the gauges, even the shifter. (I have a powerglide.) Even looking over the hood. I'll have to see one in person, but so far I'm not really impressed. It's nice... but I am afraid GM waited waaay to long. The speed thing isn't that big of a deal to me. I want reliable nostalgia if I am going retro.
  2. Don't forget meds. That is prescription stuff you regularly. In a complete breakdown, if your insulin dependent... your pretty much SOL.
  3. I would think it would be fine as long as you have private contractors providing security. That have air support available, but that's a given.
  4. Natchez State Park Range 24845 Natchez Trace Road Wildersville , TN 38388-8329 I have always seen the sign pointing the range, but have never had the time to check it out. We had a church youth retreat at the park this past weekend so I drove down and checked it out. Thought you guys might like to see what it looks like. The park offers lakes, fishing, paddle boats, RV campgrounds, swimming areas, horse rental, etc. So it would be easy to find something for everybody to like to do. The Range... The drill seems to be grab a card as you go in, fill it out and tear the stub off to keep and put the card in the box. The range is unsupervised. You will notice in the pictures that if you have guys shooting rifles you'll need to wait to shoot pistols, and vice versa. (Not ideal, but not too big of a deal.) Talked to a guy there, and he said as long as you pick your stuff up you can shoot pretty much whatever you want. (Check with a ranger first though.) I was asking about bowling pins. Now the pictures... The view from the rifle area... you can see the pistol range. Stepping back a little you can see the rifle area. Pistol area... plenty of room for your crap, and a bench in case your wanting to sight in a pistol with a cope or shoot from a rest. View from the Pistol Area... You'll notice concrete "lines" for the yardage. Close up of target holders. Typical "black board" with landscaping 4x4's sticking into PVC buried in the ground. If your anal, you might want to bring some shims to brace them a little better. View from the targets facing the range. I did notice a lot of wolf .223 hulls around the walk ways on the pistol range. I mean a LOT! So I would assume that ARs, and rifle calibers are okay on the pistol range. To be certain, I would check with a ranger. And no... I didn't shoot. Perfect weather, as you can see almost had the range to myself. Just didn't have the time. *To Mods... move this if need be. Couldn't find a good place to post something like this. (We used to have a range database, but I couldn't find it.) Would be neat if we had a Range thread where members could post pictures and reviews of the ranges we use. I always like knowing what a range looks like and how busy it is before driving out to it.
  5. I would also suggest having the mindset you won't have just "one" holster. The things just start multiplying.
  6. That is without a doubt the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life! No... That IS the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life!
  7. So I guess it would be appropriate to Backwards reference the list and list all the legislature that DO NOT have HCP permits. Gee... aren't public lists just oodles of fun! They kind of work both ways don't it?
  8. Not knowing anything from anything... If I had $700 in my pocket and it was offered to me... I would have a hard time keeping the money. I really like the Kimbers.
  9. That would suggest they are actively buying new lists and updating the database on a schedule. Or that they recently bought a current list.
  10. That sounds promising... but i still don't trust them. No time to get complacent
  11. Hk USPc / .357 sig / M-Tac holster / Speer 125gr. Gold Dots
  12. WOW! That is really nice looking! Very sharp, and slick.
  13. What makes me sick is the guys I know (or let me say I thought I knew) who voted for Obama and said in the same breath "Awwww... he wouldn't be able to pass any gun laws anyway 'cause the house and senate would stop him." Yeaaaaah... right.
  14. Maybe they should beef up security on the border. A truck full of guns ought to be pretty easy to find... that is if you are actually checking vehicles leaving the US... which most of the times they don't.
  15. My first Backpacking trip in the smokeys I walked up on a Rattler. Scaried the crap out of me. It sounded like a dry fly! After that I saw them everywhere... or at least I thought I did! LOL!
  16. No, that would imply an attempt at self improvement. I mainly just sat around in sack cloth, covered in ashes, mumbling, watching the movie "HEAT" over and over while eating cheetos. So you can see it really wasn't like I wasted my time.
  17. I have to confess I am uncomfortable discussing non-resident permits because they confuse me. That... and I end up looking like an @$$.
  18. Oh no! It's a barren waste land. Hahha! Got some "digital" friends that live in Adelaide. Everything I know about "Oz" you might say I learned from... "Oz-mosis". They have educated me on everything from Ray Martin, the remoteness of Perth, Egg on hamburgers and the fact you only put about a VERY small amount of Vegemite on toast... not a huge amount on a cracker! A mistake I will never make again! EVER!! Welcome to the U.S. buddy!
  19. Welcome to the states mate. What part of "Oz" are you from? (Please don't say Perth... )
  20. My wife absolutely loves hers. Post back on the holster you end up using. My wife is still trying to decide what she wants. Congrats!
  21. Your right... I'm wrong again. I missed it on the DOS page. If I post one more erroneous it of info... I'm going to ban myself for week! How embarrassing.
  22. CRAP! Sorry about that. If a TN HCP holders adds a "NH Non-Res Permit" he only opens up two more states... Louisiana and Michigan.
