Congratulations!!! I love mine in .357 sig. So much I daydream about finding a used USPc in 9mm... that has been drug behind a truck and beat all to crap that i could buy for very little! hey... I guy can dream can't he? Did you get it used? new? I really, really like the USPc. (As you can tell.) it's not the smallest thing, or the lightest but it feels solid in my hand.

Let's see what we have here... The Speaker of the House acknowledges that in fact there is city property maintained exclusively for the use of taxpayers. He also acknowledges in his statement that he personally is aware that the criminal element has become such a problem that it is unsafe for citizens to use said facilities. Logic would follow that the legislature should do the following... a. Immediately post those properties as unsafe for use do to criminal activity. b. Add additional funding for law enforcement to begin additional patrolling of said areas. c. Create an oversight committee to review "dangerous parks" and review statics on which parks must be closed immediately and sold for development. As well as provide quarterly statistics to the public evaluating the cost to arrest ratio as a guide for closing down parks as well as listing the crime rates for every park. Seems to me if an elected official points out a problem, he needs to see that it is corrected. Banning lawful HCP holders won't correct this problem... so what is Mr. Williams going to do in addition to this? Oh wait... silly me I forgot... this is politics. It isn't about serving the people, or correcting problems... it's a shell game. Hide the freedoms. Only it's not under any of the shells. They're hiding the "freedom" in their pocket!

Guns and Leather has been offering an evening course. 4hours class Monday, 4 hours range Tuesday. Form like 4:00-8:00... Give them a call and see if they are still doing that. They were last week. It was added because of demand. It may, I stress... may... not have a waiting list for that class. -

Not only is this funny... it is deceptively clever. Almost too clever for mere mortals. It is filled with symbolism... allow me to break this down. "Peanut Butter Sandwich" = A staple of the free lunch program... "fruit roll up" = The fruit choice of those that have worked hard and can afford it... "Cindy" = A subtle reference to Cindy McCain, John McCain's wife. So in other words... if you will trade relying on handouts, and take responsibility in life you too can enjoy the "Fruit" of your labors that this country has to offer. Only then will you be comfortable announcing your admiration and affection of what hard work and success bring you. (ie. Cindy) Or... it could be that "memphismason" just seriously cracked me up!!! LOL!! Yeah... that's it. The last one!!!

Also... ER's can be "emotionally charged" environments. Lots of confusion, and emotions running high. Abused Children being rushed in, shootings, domestic abuse, etc. I think it is more to try and place an emotional "speed bump" for people. There are a lot of Dad's, irate Father In Laws, etc. that might want to sneak in and find a low life son-in-law that just beat his daughter, or abused his grandaughter. Etc. Reminds me a little of what my Step Dad used to say. He worked the courts n Metro. He said he was most nervous when he had a child sex offender, or a rape suspect escorting to trial. He was always nervous "Dad" was going to step out and take a shot and end up getting him by mistake.

I, on the other hand, want to go out that way: Rich, white jumpsuit with a mini-cape with a sequined bird on the back (Unless it's after Labor day then it would be a dark blue jumpsuit with a mini-cape with a sequined bird on the back), Big sunglasses, an Entourage, and a house full of guns and round bed. The toilet thing is just a ironic bonus. (YMMV) -

Wallstreet Insiders Stock up on Gold, Guns, etc.

I just think it is interesting that the people that were closest to the "Economic Meltdown" were taking it seriously enough to start making plans for a collapse. That seems pretty telling in it's self. -
Saw this today. Thought it was pretty interesting. What stands out to me is that when the working guy buys some extra food, buys a home defense shotgun, and starts keeping more money at home so he would have better access he's pretty much looked at by the media as an alarmist, survivalist, or a paranoid nut job. But when a guy like Barton Biggs (From Morgan Stanley) starts writing about the possibility of collapse and wall street types start making plans all of a sudden it is different! LOL!!! [Link] The New Paranoia: Hedge-Funders Are Bullish on Gold, Guns, and Inflatable Lifeboats By Timothy Sohn Published Jan 11, 2009 During the final months of 2008, as the financial markets imploded, talk on trading desks turned to food and water stockpiles, generators, guns, and high-speed inflatable boats. “The system really was about six hours from failing,†says Gene Lange, a manager at a midtown hedge fund, referring to the week in September when Lehman went bust and AIG had to be bailed out. “When you think about how close we were to the precipice, I don’t think it necessarily makes a guy crazy to prepare for the potential worst-case scenario.†Preparations, in Lange’s case, include a storeroom in his basement in New Jersey stacked high with enough food, water, diapers, and other necessities to last his family six months; a biometric safe to hold his guns; and a 1985 ex-military Chevy K5 Blazer that runs on diesel and is currently being retrofitted for off-road travel. He has also entertained the idea of putting an inflatable speedboat in a storage unit on the West Side, so he could get off the island quickly, and is currently considering purchasing a remote farm where he could hunker down. “If there’s a financial-system breakdown, it could take a year to reset the system, and in that time, what’s going to happen?†asks Lange. If New York turns into a scene out of I Am Legend, he wants to be ready. He’s not the only one. In his book Wealth, War, published last year, former Morgan Stanley chief global strategist Barton Biggs advised people to prepare for the possibility of a total breakdown of civil society. A senior analyst whose reports are read at hedge funds all over the city wrote just before Christmas that some of his clients are “so bearish they’ve purchased firearms and safes and are stocking their pantries with soups and canned foods.†This fear is very much reflected in the market—prices of corporate bonds have been so beaten down at various points that they suggest a higher default rate than during the Great Depression. Meanwhile, while the overall gold market has fluctuated, the premium for quarter-ounce gold coins—meaning the difference between the price for gold you can hold in your hand and that for “paper gold,†such as exchange-traded funds—rose to an all-time high of 20 percent. “Gold is transportable, it’s 100 percent liquid, and it’s perfectly divisible in the context of ounces, bars, or coins,†says the head of a California research firm who keeps a supply of it, along with food, water, and guns, on hand. “And most important, there’s no counterpartyâ€â€”i.e., it’s an investment beholden to no one, and perhaps one of the few assets that will retain value if the financial system collapses. While it may look like these Wall Streeters are betting on such a collapse, their embrace of survivalism is an outgrowth of their professional habits of mind: Having observed the economy’s shaky high-wire act from their ringside seats, they are trying to manage their risk and “hedge†against a potential fall. “It’s like insurance,†says an investor who has stockpiled MREs and a hand-cranked radio. “And by the time you need it, it’s way too late.†Leave it for others to weep for the collapse of the social order. These guys would prefer to be in a high-speed boat or ex-military vehicle, heading off toward their fully provisioned compounds in pursuit of the ultimate goal: to win the chaos.

Maybe we should start our own pro-gun organization... with Blackjack... and Hookers! Sorry to hear about you losing the position. Politics suck, they prohibit important things from getting done.

I take it saying... "Because it is according to the prophesy." would not have gone over very well. Or for that matter... "If you own the county, wouldn't that make you a King, and not a Police officer?" Just kidding guys....

You would be surprised how well it stays tucked. I was concerned at first myself, but after practicing actually having to pull the shirt up to present the weapon it gave me a lot of confidence. That being said... if you can try one on you'll see what we mean.

They could make the uppers here if they wanted to. I suspect they just don't want to have their precious uppers riding on anything less than an HK Lower. I like HK products. But you do pay more. A real balancing act when looking at their stuff. A Hk416 would be great... would love to have one, but I don't have near the money for one.

I have a williams peep sight on mine. That and a sling is the only things I have ever done to. It is one of my favorite firearms. (Not just because my Dad gave it to me either. ) Seems it is one that I can consistently pickup no matter how long it sets and hit with it. Have fun with it!

I thought about going... but remembered it fell on the day I planned to organize my sock drawer. Resorting, looking for holes, etc. I hate to put it off, and I really want to give the sock drawer my full and undivided attention that it needs this year. I'll just catch another one. I mean... they come around every four years like clockwork and all.
