The Airweights I have shot with .38+P (and standard) have felt like I was shooting a .357 snubby. Pretty punishing. 12 shots and teh web of my hand was red. (But That's just me.)

That and to attract the ladeez. I'm not going to get into the "stopping power" debate. I just know that a 9mm knocks a bowling pin over, and a 357 mag knocks it back . Read into that what you want... accuracy (IMHO) is a key factor. Also a .45 acp will knock a pin back almost three feet. (500 Magnum with a lead nose bullet? 15 ft back, and tore my pin all to crap! LOL!!!)

Seems like I read somewhere that when they were originally made, the goal was compact, high rate and low production costs. 1200-1300 rpm is insane! But the really, really good insane! LOL!!! You got yours looking really sharp. I bet it is a real head turner at the range. -

Thanks man. I have seen those Macs dressed up pretty neatly at knob Creek during the Subgun matches. Saw a Mac in .380 once with a huge wrapped can... it looked like a ribbon of gold was being spun out of it. Amazing! Those things must have a really high rate of fire. -

Not sure how I missed this thread... but I'd just like to say... AWESOME!!! Congrats "Magic"! -
It's mainly because he shoots .357 sig. After you have shot that caliber a while it just becomes a part of you. Part of your DNA. Chicks just pick up on it. Great picts Joe.

Informing a LEO that your carrying, at a traffic stop
creeky replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I've only had one bad experience (and that was before I had a HCP) with an LEO. All the others (except for one constable) have been very professional and I've usually ended up cutting up with them regardless if I got a ticket or not. Had a waiter that was a real jerk once too... but I still go to restaurants. It's just a "Life Tax". We're all going to have to deal with jerks in life, some might where a badge, others may not. Just part of life. -
Which is one more reason to do away with useless legislation. It does nothing but complicate things for both the owner trying to follow the law, and any agency trying to enforce the law. Not to mention that the fact it has no useful purpose other than making "anti's" feel needed and warm inside. They already have the Oxygen channel and raw cookie dough... so IMHO they need to just all curl up on the couch and quit complicating things for everyone else. Sorry... ranting has ended now.

Guys... this really needs to be quoted and mentioned again in this thread... it is THAT funny!!! BWAHAHahaahaha!! That would be great in a fortune cookie!

Just placed the order... their saying it's about two weeks out. Went with the M-Tac. Can't wait for it to come in!

Yeah... but notice how DeNiro is copying "Race Bannon" from my avatar to get the correct motivation and to look all uber cool and tough! "Race" was nailing that years ago! Deniro is just paying homage to one of his heros. I'm telling you... we could learn a lot from Race Bannon.

I'm 99% sure I'll order the M-Tac tonight now. Once I get it in and have worn it a bit I'll take some pictures and post a quick review to this thread. Thanks for all the input guys. I am feeling more secure about dropping the money down for this.

I do not have any problems with shopping at HH. That is as long as I have a good security detail with me, adequate air support and a couple of artillery batteries on standby.... oh yeah a low yield nuclear option would be nice, but not completely necessary. Otherwise... I would rather just keep my distance.

Starting to lean toward the M-Tac now.

No... just the next evolution to achieve pure "Perfection".

Finally have the funds in place, just trying to decide which one to go with. C-Tac or the M-Tac.... (I'll be concealing a USP compact.) I found a video of a review of the two. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI4EbfLYTQU&NR=1[/ame] They both seem to conceal about the same with little difference. I like the idea of the definite "click" of the C-Tac... But the M-Tac seems to hold as well. I had posted before about this and in looking it over again a lot of you guys owned the C-Tac and really liked it, but said you thought the M-Tac would be even better. Hoping to order this week. Really torn between the two.

Now that is COOL!! I've always liked the "scouts".

Yup! Use your finger as a wedge... used to do it in my younger days. Won't work with a "cricket" lighter. (At least not back then, plastic was to thin... they'd crack.) *Uh... no longer drink guys. 16 Years stone cold sober.

The problem I have is they are not military rifles... they are semi-automatic rifles. Shooting the same caliber as a .223 (I know, 5.56... but you get the point guys) bolt action. They are not full automatics, nor should they be confused with them. As far as capacity is concerned... I disagree. What makes ten the "standard" all of a sudden? Why not 12? Double the capacity of a conventual revolver? While we're at it maybe S&W's 8-shot .357 magnum should not be allowed. That is extreme isn't it? For a revolver. Who decides what is "necessary"? A federal agency? A local State Agency? An elected board or maybe an appointed one? Who should have the right to decide how many magazines I can own while we're at it? People who don't own guns and think I shouldn't? Or maybe a foundation? People who have never met me but are able to decide what is best for me and my family yet don't accept responsibility for their safety? I have a better idea... let's just concentrate on the criminals first. Once our elected officials have a good grasp on that situation then they can come to talk to me about what I need and why. Until we reach that utopian society, and the moon is in the seven house, and Jupiter is aligned with Mars... I'll think I just sit on the porch and "cling to my guns and Religion" during these tough economic times. (IMHO)

I carry two fresh Bic lighters when I backpack.

Slammed... short production weeks. Ughhhh...

No one held a gun to the big three and made them sign those contracts. Those contracts are an agreed apon set of rules that both sides signed. Everytime I hear about how the Unions are "sticking" it to the companies I have to roll my eyes. These companies aren't dumb, or ignorant of what they are signing. (Just an opinion.)

I wouldn't classify thi sas retaliation. This is simply using the same system the paper employs, to then publish information on the editorial board. If it is morally right (in the eyes of the paper's staff) to publish CCW holders information, then it is just as right for an organization to respond in kind. Notice the paper is not using it's resources to gain information for any story to provide a clearer picture or establish facts. Purely to suit an agenda. That being the obvious case, and with the paper setting the standard I expect them to now call "foul". As with most "Higher educated hipocrates"... they prefer the same rules not apply to themselves. (IMHO)

Don't forget about having to have your local LEO sign off on your paperwork.

Until Cheaper than dirt sees demand in crease then posts... "Due to the uncertain political climate we are seeing an increase of canteen sales across the country, and thus suppliers are having a difficult time meeting demand. We will continue to offer our existing canteens but prices are subject to change without notice, warning, or at the whim of any of us involved. Remember... we at "Cheaper than Dirt" continue to support all the freedoms we hold dear and will continue to stand by our loyal customers to the end... or until you run out of money.
