    H&K P2000

To date I have had virtually no reliability issues with my USPc. I'm fast approaching the 2k mark. Granted it's .357 sig so the bottleneck design is a definite plus when it come to reliability. To compare the two seems a tad unfair, they each perform well and have their good points and bad points. It's really up to the end user on which they would rather have. Only they will be able to determine if it will meet their personal needs. Just my two cents... (I have nothing against glocks, and hope to own a couple one day.)
  2. While I won't try to defend McCain, I will stand up for the time honored, and much respected twinkie. There is truly little that can compare to a fresh, and I stress fresh twinkie. I stand firm in my support of this most important food. *Disclosure: This message posted with the full support of the "Yellow No.5" organization.

    My New USP9c

Correct. Also they were making the P2000sk in .357 sig but are gong to stop. CDNN has it with two HK barrels... .40 & .357 sig for $699.99 Thought that was a pretty good deal. Being that it came with two barrels.

    H&K P2000

haven't shot one, but the P2000sk fits my hand well. Also CDNN has a deal wher eyou can get it in .357 sig, and get an extra barrel in .40 might be worth checking out.
  5. Come down on the price? (Kidding)
  6. Too late... cash went bye, bye... dern.
  7. CRAP! I missed I had seen that this weekend! Just ordered 6-30rd cProduct mags! Would have rather had the Pmags!
  8. Most range bags I looked at a few years ago seemed a little steep for me. I looked in the fishing section of Sports Academy a few years ago and they had some tackle bags on sale. I got this one for about 16 bucks. It came with some plastic tackle box stuff as well. (Gave them away.) While looking at it the sales guy was trying to help me and asked what kind of fishing I did. I told him I didn't fish and he said "Ahhhh.. your a shooter huh?" Turns out he said sees a few guys coming in and buying these for range bags. Works good for me. Shoulder strap and double sewn handles, the main compartment has the heavy duty zippers that you can put a small lock on (only good for keeping kids out), the two sides can hold eight 50rd boxes in each side, plus about three pistols in the middle compartment plus my other junk. (Strap comes in handy when fully loaded.) It doesn't have the cool mag holders and stuff like that.... but suits me well. Also it doesn't "look" like a range bag. That is something that I like too. (I also use an old portable diaper changing mat that folds up small as a pistol rug. ) Reposted from this old thread.
  9. Just looked up prices for them online... oh my! Congratulations! From what I just read it sounds like an awesome gun!!!
  10. As guys we can talk all day long on ways to "try" and get women interested. But i think the best advice is going to come from the women on this board when they start to chime in. Really need to look at this from the other perspective. I've got opinions... but they are from the guy's point of view.
  11. It would sure be less expensive! LOL!

    Egyptian Maadi

My wife has a Maddi imported by Intrac in Knoxville. Still has the original Laminated wooden thumbhole stock. She really likes it. With field sight you can pretty much knock bowling pins all day with it. I had thought about seeling it and getting her one in .223 but the guys on the board talked some sensw in to my head.
  13. Only seems fair.
  14. yeah I love it... Already been posted about here... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16769
  15. Apparently cool has a price.... $250.00... ouch.

    It's started!!!

BWAaaahahahahaa!!! It's clever, simple, and freak'n hilarious!!! The only down side I see is it probably got a lot of folks' hopes up.
  17. I have seen the same thing myself. A friend wanted a gun for his wife to keep in the house and asked me and a friend for a suggestion. Independently we both suggested a .38 revolver with a 3" barrel, or the same in .357 loaded with .38s. He bought her a semi-auto 9mm. She is older and has a problem with her wrist. (That we all new about!) Guess what... yup. Can't rack the slide. That is a key point, and to me the most important. It's hard to come up with an end all gun for everyone. Too many variables with people. Size, skill level, willingness to practice, how they plan to use it, etc. Also... just my two cents as well.
  18. I just wish they would make bacon in the same form as fruit roll ups. That way I could carry a roll of bacon, and tear off what I want. We have the technology, we just keep directing our efforts in the wrong places.

    Laptop set-up?

Mac... Been using them since System 7.0... hard to beat. And I have owned and worked with windows OS though. Prefer the simplicity of the Mac OS. Especially since they went with Unix in system 10. I'd rather have a used Mac, than a new Windows based machine any day of the week.
  21. I'll have to agree with "Johnny_Utah". A good friend had a colt 1911 form the 80's put a ton of money and work in it over the years. Used it in some police competitions in the mid 80's. It was a really good gun, I had shot it plenty of times. Then he shot a Kimber. Ended up selling the colt and Buying A Kimber Pro Carry CDP. Even he says that it shoots better than his colt ever did. YMMV. In the long run, IMHO, if you can wait and add a little more money and get exactly what you want.

Bronker... thanks for making the sacrifice and taking one for the team to insure young, firm, hot college girls are safe. That being said... if anyone needs "buttless" chaps... it will be you my friend. By the case!! "Quick, girls... put these on! I don't have time to explain!!! Oh yeah... and a few of you stand around with pouty lips. Yeah... that's it." LOL!!!!
  23. Though I would give some of the other .357 sig shooters out there a heads up about this stuff. Speer 100gr. Frangible Range Ammo My wife bought me a 250 rd box of this stuff for $60 bucks at Guns and Leather. Last week I ran 100 rounds of it through my USPc. Needless to say it ran flawlessly. I was concerned it might not function well in it but I was worried about nothing. Right now you can get this stuff also from Georgia Arms in two ways: .357 Sig Frangible (1000pk) $220.00 .357 Sig Frangible (250pk) $60.00 After shooting it I ran 20 rds of standard Winchester 125gr. Hollow points through my pistol as well. Couldn't tell a noticeable difference really. Both hit where I was aiming. Needless to say this isn't intended for Self Defense, but in my opinion it makes a great plinking and training round. I'm really wanting to take the CIS defensive Pistol class this year, and ammo at this price goes a long way in helping me get there. I'm trying to gather up some scrap drywall and 2x4's to build a little "wall" box to see how this reacts to drywall. Just for the fun of it. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

    Kiss my "ice"

I'm expecting a complete breakdown of society when they begin to close schools. Then... within 4-6 hours roving bands mutants, geeks and trolls will begin attacking in search of food. I picture something like a cross between "Road Warrior" and "Waterworld" Only frozen water, and less buttless chaps. (*Not that I am against Buttless chaps... it does make a statement. It's just awfully cold for buttless chaps.)
