Seems like I'm always late to the party but I'll comment anyway: Shot a full-auto MP5 a few weeks ago and it's absolutely on my gotta have list (a guy can dream you know). I did a few ride-a-longs a life-time ago and the deputy actually provided me a carry piece since I didn't have one at the time and it was way before the much-improved licencing we have now. Anyway, we made a stop late one morning and I was standing on the right side of the patrol car while the subject was assuming the position on the left side of the car. The deputy was calling in the subject's vitals on the radio when he decided to run. The deputy jumped out of the car and fired a warning shot over the subject's head. He dropped to the ground and we secured him in the patrol car. Later on, the deputy told me the subject definitely needed a change of underwear.

They have a lot of their Bates priced at $20. Didn't pay that for these, but it was definitive less than MSRP (it was also the only pair they had of the Tora Boras).

Picked up a pair of these at an INSANELY low price today at Hero-Gear. I've been looking for a good pair of boots but I seem to be hard to fit (8.5 wide). They had these in stock and I think I got an OUTSTANDING deal on them. I'm looking forward to giving them a hard workout and I'm sure they'll become my go-to winter footwear.

Been carrying the Kershaw Ken Onion Leek for a couple of years. Got it for around $45 bucks at Wal-mart (see the link).

The only "confrontation" I've ever had open carrying was when an older gentleman said "I don't guess you have many enemies". I replied nope and kept walking.

Had a Kimber once (definitely not a low-end firearm) that had FTE/FTF about every two or three rounds. Moral of this thread really should be: Be sure of your equipment before attending any class or trusting any firearm with your life.

A member here on TGO, extremescene, is the photographer there as well as a professional sound engineer. I went in September 2009 (Bluegrass Anyone?) and was amazed at the show and the venue as well.
