Major Kong: He does 45ACP, 40S&W, 9mm and 38 Super.   NashVegasKid: Good to meet you today and your 1911 looks fantastic!
  3. Good thoughts and condolences headed his way.
  4. Was there about a month ago and was wanded.
  5. The Aquarium also uses wand metal detectors and the World of Coke uses walk-through detectors.
  6. Thanks for heading up the Christmas PIF for a couple of years. Although this is Tennessee Gun Owners, I don't think too many will object if you drop in from time to time. Good Luck!
  7. Was it one of these: Rytan Long-EZ
  8. Here's a link to Massad Ayoob's tribute to Paul: R.I.P. Paul Gomez
  9. Take Mike.357's advice and keep it. Anywise, it does look to be a Eibar .38 Long Colt which was a copy of the Colt Police Positive. Here's some more info on the cartridge: .38 Long Colt
  10. The title says it all. I can't seem to join.
  11. Welcome from Franklin County.

  13. The spouse has the P22 (since it's an excellent model of the Walther PK380 that she has).
  14. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride!
  15. I use Hornady Critical Defense in my P238 as well.
  16. Bicentennial Eagle here.
  17. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.
  18. The KSG isn't for sale. I asked a couple of weeks ago. It's Chad's son's.
  19. It's the source of the approximately 1.6" balls that some folks like to shoot at at various ranges or shoot out of launchers attached to their AR-15s.

Sorry, I don't have Nighthawk to compare it to. I'll have to check on the engraving.

    hero 1911

Runs like a dream. Eats anything I feed it. No issues to report. I know Jeff stands behind his product and, if you do have an issue with one, I'm sure he'll make it right.

    hero 1911

They're ramping up their 1911 builds again after a short break. Although I'm nowhere near an expert on 1911s, I do own a fine example of Jeff's work and, in my humble opinion, think the workmanship and quality is equal to or surpasses Wilson standards (I haven't compared the Hero 1911 to a Nighthawk). My Hero 1911 was built with a Caspian frame and slide, Kart barrel, Wilson Combat bobtail and Cylinder and Slide internals. All parts were hand fitted to very exacting standards. There is absolutely no frame to slide wobble or rattle (while a Wilson in the shop sounds like a castanet). It originally came with Alumigrips that I have replaced with VZ Grips. The new batch of Hero 1911s come with VZ Grips. Since these are fully custom pistols, you can spec it any way you want and Jeff's going to work to make it your dream gun. They currently have four finished Hero 1911s on display and I'd recommend going by and doing a side-by-side comparison to the Wilson, Kimbers and Springfields they have in stock. (Full disclosure: I hang out at the shop rather frequently but I am not an employee of Hero-Gear)
  23. Congrats for your escape to the land of the free. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.
  24. I use Crossbreed's QwikClip with mine. I use a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster too.
