  1. Played at Yang style T'ai Chi Ch'uan and gi gong a few years ago. Had a disagreement with the instructor and haven't played since.
  2. The Kershaw is a assisted opening knife and, from my understanding, is legal to carry in Tennessee (I carry a Ken Onion Leek every day with the same opening mechanics). Assisted opening knifes require the user to manipulate the blade via a stud or extension of the blade itself. Automatic knifes, on the other, will open without the user touching the blade at all (i.e. button, switch and perhaps gravity). I'm not a blade expert by any means so, if I misstated anything, please correct me.
  3. I was there Sunday and there is a small sign over the entrance, the second set of doors, that said no dangerous weapons or devices allowed. It's usually on the back of your ticket as well (I'm not sure about the print-your-own tickets but I assume it's there somewhere) in some of the smallest print I've ever seen. They didn't do any pat-downs but it was for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra so that might depend on the performing artist. It's also on the Bridgestone Arena web site: "Carry in and Contraband Items The following items are not permitted in Bridgestone Arena: Bottles or cans Food and drink purchased outside Coolers Frisbees and/or beach balls Laser pointers Any noise making devices, specifically air horns with sirens, whistles Fireworks Illegal drugs and alcohol Weapons and dangerous devices of any type Guests found in possession of contraband items will be subject to expulsion from the facility and the contraband items confiscated."
  4. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
  5. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride! Head over to this thread (What's In A Name?) and tell us the story.
  6. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.
  7. Seems to be one of the more plausible SHTF scenarios that's come along recently.
  8. My wife started off with the P22 and she likes it a lot. We recently bought her a PK380 since both it and the P22 have the same basic controls and the ergonomics are identical (the PK380 is only slightly larger than the P22).
  9. Nashville has already hosted the convention once but I can't remember what year is was. The exhibition was in the convention center across from the Bridgestone Arena and the main dinner was at the Opryland Hotel. Rush Limbaugh was the keynote speaker as well.
  10. Could it be this one: "Why Carry a Gun?" or perhaps, this one: "A LITTLE GUN HISTORY"
  11. I'm not sure if anyone was meeting this Saturday morning, but I won't be able to make it myself. We intended on watching the second-to-last shuttle launch live this past Monday but, as my luck seems to go, it's been delayed 4 times and, if high winds stay away on Friday, we may actually see it tomorrow. As it stands now, we'll be somewhere between Florida and Tennessee Saturday morning. Sorry and keep your eyes open for a future announcement about the full-blown Distillery tour next spring.
  12. Congratulations and welcome to the club.
  13. I think Mall security was in there, until the zombies showed up of course.
  14. Good job, Vontar. By the way, does that Cafe in the background sell doughnuts?
  15. Here's a couple of pictures of the three new backboards and posts installed today: at 50 feet 50 yards and 100 yards The weather was nearly perfect. The wind was a nuisance but a good day nonetheless. Ralph, the range owner, seemed to really appreciate TGO's efforts.

    WTF ?

Code of Conduct Read #1, rinse, repeat.
  17. Try a shot of dark rum in a glass of ginger beer (called a Dark 'n Stormy) or a shot in ginger ale (called a Ginger Gale). Another discovery in Bermuda along with their locally produced rum, Gosling Brothers Black Seal Rum.
  18. Lyndon or usually Lynn. Enjoying a rum swizzle at the Swizzle Inn in Bermuda.
  19. Me, my wife and G-Pa Glynn will be there. Look forward to meeting you.
  20. Most of us meet at the Krystal's in Winchester and then convoy up to the range. Here's a link for a map: Viola Valley Shooting Range 742 Fibelkorn Road viola tn - Google Maps
  21. The November 6th 3 Distillery Tour has 'officially' postponed until late April or early May. However, based on member suggestions, anyone that would still like to meet on that day and do a driving tour of the distilleries, meet at 9:00 that same Saturday at the Starbucks in Manchester (I-24 Exit 114). We'll do the same route and make a lunch/dinner decision as we go. Hope see you there.
