  1. My prefered method of concealed carry is "front pocket." Weekdays I wear khaki pants, and can carry a GLOCK 27. But Sundays, in suit pants/thin material, the p3at is what comes along. It is ideal for a situation like that. The p3at is a good gun, and if it has troubles, Kel-Tec customer service will make it right pretty quick.

    S&W Sigma .40VE

For $200 bucks you can't lose! The trigger is stout, but no worse than that of a double action revolver, or a Kel-Tec P11. Sometimes a stout trigger is a good thing. By the way, if you take it apart, do NOT remove the cotton ball inside the trigger spring. It is there to dampen vibrations, and extend the life of the spring. The Sigma is a great gun. I have had two in the past, and another one is on the way. I hope to hang on to this one. Congrats on a great buy!
  3. CBOB - Commander Classic Bobtail by Dan Wesson (because inquiring minds want to know!)
  4. If she didn't like the 9mm recoil, she won't like the .357 magnum recoil either. Are you sure you haven't just found a way to build up your gun collection?

  6. I must cancel out...I forgot a Presbytery meeting I have on July 14 in Flintstone. Sorry! Eat a taco for me!
  7. MJ never had a chance for a normal kid's life, and that messed him up for his whole life. Sad story, I think.
  8. Tennifer is not what you SEE when you look at a GLOCK. The tennifer treatment affects the metal of the slide, and makes it extremely hard. When you scratch the surface color off a GLOCK, you have not made a scratch in the tennifer, which is under the colored surface, and is the actual surface of the metal. It is almost as hard as a diamond. Tennifer is not a coating, like paint. You can't scratch it off. I don't know about Melonite.
  9. Placement is what counts. If she likes the .22, great! As others have said, she may work up to something stronger later on.
  10. My mags rattle, too, but I don't care. If it bugs you a lot, you might want to try the very inexpensive and easy Q-tip fix! The Kel-Tec Range :: View topic - No more 10 rd mag rattle
  11. Well, if you carry your pistol in El Meson, you had better not carry it on your hip! Guns and alcohol don't mix!
  12. There was a 25 point document issued by the Nazi party in Germany in the 1930's, describing their program and ideals. Does any of this sound familiar? Here are some of the points.... From the 25 points of National Socialism... We demand that the State shall above all undertake to ensure that every citizen shall have the possibility of living decently and earning a livelihood. We demand: That all unearned income, and all income that does not arise from work, be abolished. We demand the nationalization of all trusts. We demand profit-sharing in large industries. We demand a generous increase in old-age pensions. We demand the creation and maintenance of a sound middle-class, the immediate communalization of large stores which will be rented cheaply to small tradespeople, and the strongest consideration must be given to ensure that small traders shall deliver the supplies needed by the State, the provinces and municipalities. We demand an agrarian reform in accordance with our national requirements, and the enactment of a law to expropriate the owners without compensation of any land needed for the common purpose. The abolition of ground rents, and the prohibition of all speculation in land. In order to make it possible for every capable and industrious German to obtain higher education, and thus the opportunity to reach into positions of leadership, the State must assume the responsibility of organizing thoroughly the entire cultural system of the people. The curricula of all educational establishments shall be adapted to practical life. The conception of the State Idea (science of citizenship) must be taught in the schools from the very beginning. We demand that specially talented children of poor parents, whatever their station or occupation, be educated at the expense of the State. The State has the duty to help raise the standard of national health by providing maternity welfare centers, by prohibiting juvenile labor, by increasing physical fitness through the introduction of compulsory games and gymnastics, and by the greatest possible encouragement of associations concerned with the physical education of the young. We demand the abolition of the regular army and the creation of a national army. We demand that there be a legal campaign against those who propagate deliberate political lies and disseminate them through the press. Newspapers transgressing against the common welfare shall be suppressed. We demand legal action against those tendencies in art and literature that have a disruptive influence upon the life of our folk, and that any organizations that offend against the foregoing demands shall be dissolved. We demand freedom for all religious faiths in the state, insofar as they do not endanger its existence or offend the moral and ethical sense of the nation. We demand: the creation of a strong central authority in the State, the unconditional authority by the political central parliament of the whole State and all its organizations. We demand the formation of professional committees and of committees representing the several States of the realm, to ensure that the laws promulgated by the Federal Government shall be carried out by the States. Comment: It is important to know what to look out for, so we can see what might be coming down the road, and take steps to stop it.
  13. I was in ValuPawn in Hixson (Hwy 153 near NPark Hospital) two weeks ago. They have new c9s for $159, and there was a used one for $129.
  14. Hi Someguy! Thanks for your yoeman service with the TFA awhile back. On the open carry: my mousegun is so small, even if I open carry it may go un-noticed! I know we are opposites on this, but I would NEVER open carry, as I think it gives up the advantage of surprise with a would-be bad guy.
  15. Whoever told you you must shoot gangster style was just pulling your leg.
  16. Any way, the AK is not meant for snipers! If you can hit your target in a fair group at 50 yards, you are good to go for zombies and other non-desirables.

  18. I see the 1841 cannon is still for sale. One of you guys ought to buy it.
  19. Looks like a fun little pistol. I will be looking forward to your range report!
  20. May the Mayor and Aldermen of Tennessee towns go legally armed by virtue of their office? I know they have the power to set up a police department and hire officers. But are they themselves authorized by TN law to go armed? Inquiring minds want to know.
  21. Here's the schedule from the Times Free Press of Chattanooga on June 14, 2009....it's located most of the way down through the other ads...
  22. I will wear my Kel-Tec hat, so if you see a guy in a blue Kel-Tec hat just wandering around El-Meson and looking lost, please reel me in.
  23. El Meson, you got it. I will pencil it in my calendar.
  24. Did it look like this one?
  25. Hi CSlim. Yup, the group dwindled away, and our leader was pretty busy with school. He still posts on this forum sometimes. He carried open whenever we met there at Ryans. Hamilton Place area is OK with me, also. Wherever is fine.
