  1. Somebody else really likes small pistols!
  2. What if I paint my old .22 semi auto black? Will that count as a black rifle?
  3. One more thing to at least think about. Some of these guns that feel less comfortable, or seem to kick too much....if you slip on a Hogue Handall rubber grip, you can be amazed at the improvement.
  4. Today, March 30,2009, is a good day to buy a handgun from the Chattanooga Times Free Press classifed section. Lots of choices! Prices are high, but you can always try to negotiate! http://www.mouseguns.com/class/mar2009.htm
  5. Very nice Colt!
  6. I should have written: "The G27 is less pleasant to shoot than the G22."
  7. Thanks for the kind words. As I get suggestions, and find out more info, I will add to the page.
  8. Thanks for your suggestions. I've added the link, and some others, and an audio sound bite, too! And some more photos.
  9. If any of you would like to research GLOCK pistols, I have completed the first draft of a GLOCK web page for mouseguns.com.... http://www.mouseguns.com/glockall/glockall.htm
  10. If you get enough posts so you can advertise your Lorcin for sale here on this forum, somebody WILL buy it from you, no doubt. I would keep it, myself.
  11. My first handgun was a Kel-Tec P3AT, and I chose it on purpose because I wanted to get a permit and carry it 24/7. It was a good choice. The Ruger 22 is fine if you just want to do some target shooting, but it would be difficult to carry, and not very powerful for self-defense purposes. My top recommendation to people NOW (when p3ats and .380 ammo are both scarce) is to get a GLOCK 27 or 26, if you can find one. The mini GLOCKS are great for concealed carry, and not bad for fun at the range, either.

    P-95DC

I had a p95dc like yours, and sold it to a guy on Signal Mtn for $250, I think. But that was about three years ago. The older model is built like a tank. It shoots great, but it does not pull down big bucks on resale. If I had $300 I would seriously consider buying your pistol! That is a great gun!
  13. Actually, they wanted all the astronauts to be armed with 1911 sidearms, because of all the little green men that are out there in space (the government is keeping this a secret). But they discovered that the 1911 was too heavy for the space shuttle to lift into orbit, so they commissioned Kel-Tec to provide VERY light weight P3AT pistols. They weigh only 5 ounces each, because Kel-Tec has discovered a light-weight ceramic that can be used for both the grip and the barrel and chamber, and still take the explosive power of the .380 round. This material is very secret, and takes a long time to make, form into the proper shapes, and cure. That's why they don't make very many firearms. Kel-Tec is sending up a guy on the next launch to see how their ceramic p3ats are working out. Seriously (from Wikipedia): Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc. is a United States manufacturer of firearms. Founded in 1991 and based in Cocoa, Florida, the company has manufactured firearms since 1995, starting with small, affordable semi-automatic pistols[1] and expanding to rifles. Kel-Tec is a privately-owned Florida corporation. George Kelgren is an owner and Chief Engineer. He is the Swedish designer who also designed many earlier Husqvarna (in Sweden), Swedish Interdynamics AB (in Sweden), Intratec, and Grendel brand firearms. According to the ATF[2], Kel-Tec is the third largest handgun maker in the U.S. Kel-Tec is making plenty of firearms, and not doing much if any space shuttle business. But they have a large variety of guns they produce, and probably do not make all varieties simultaneously, so there will from time to time be shortages of particular firearms. Also, since the election last November, Kel-Tec firearms have been flying off the shelves. When demand is soooo high, you should expect shortages. It's the same reason you can hardly find ammo these days. As soon as it hits the shelf, some guy like you or me comes along and buys it ALL.
  14. I'm guessing a $400 ball-park.
  15. There was a guy shooting his Beretta 92FS at Prentice Cooper last Friday, and he was shooting the legendary "one ragged hole" at about 10 yards. Good buy!
  16. Probably between $400 and $500 dollars, depending on condition and number of magazines.
  17. Is there any difference between the recoil springs of the 26 and 27 models? I took both of mine apart for cleaning, and am not sure if I got them mixed up or not! They SEEM to be indentical.
  18. You are exactly right! Here is a photo of muzzles of GLOCK 26 and 27. It is easy to tell the 9mm barrel by its thickness...
  19. True or False: An unloaded G27 ought to weigh just a little bit less than an unloaded G26. Why?
  20. The GLOCK weighs a full half-pound more than the PF9, and is quite a bit thicker.
  21. I NEVER see any .380 anywhere. Luckily, I have a bit stashed away!
  22. Hixson Walmart, as of 10 AM, March 18, has about 1000 rounds of 9mm Winchester Valu Pak, less than $20 per 100.

    New GLOCK

Find a farmer friend, and ask him if you can come out to his farm and shoot your pistol.

    sks mags

I tried Tapco 20 rounders in my SKS, and they were not reliable. I agree that the best thing is to just stick with the original 10 round magazine, and load from the top with stripper clips.
  25. You should give some thought to the Kel-Tec P-11. If you don't mind the strong trigger, it meets all your qualifications. http://www.mouseguns.com/ideal.htm
