  1. Wow... Its really scary to know that there are so many people out there who think the same way, and even more who know better, but like it when they think that way.
  2. OK.. I have a copy - unopened. I 'won' it as a prize at an employer dinner... I tried unsuccessfully to give it away, sell it at yard sales, anything I could think of, before finding the function for which it was designed and made. It now sits under the back corner of my gun cabinet, making it perfectly level. Just goes to show you that there's a purpose for everything.
  3. Dang - I just got rid of the quilt that my stepfather had made stuffed with hair he brushed off his St. Bernard.. Would that have put me in the running?
  4. I have a PPS in .40 and a Kahr PM45.. The Walther is really thin, which makes for good IWB or OWB carry, but I usually prefer the Kahr - it's not as thin, but it's a little smaller, has a great trigger, and I just like it better. I also like having .45 ammo in such a small package. (The Walther is sitting here on my desk so I can take pics and put it up for sale.)
  5. How about banana bikes? Anybody else have one? One speed, friction brakes, and ape-hanger handlebars.. I probably put hundreds of miles on one that cost $26 brand new.

    4th of July Plans

Money is too tight for store-bought fireworks this year, so I built a home-made flash pot out of odds and ends for my boys' entertainment.
  7. +1 for Major Matt Mason.. Remember the jet pack with the string that wound up inside of it? That and my Caption Action with a Captain America costume were my favorites.
  8. I haven't seen one of these, but would like to - I love the BiTone pistols.
  9. Welcome aboard! (From a La Vergner.)
  10. NYPD Blue and West Wing.

    Kahr

I have a PM45. Had a couple of issues with it, but after sending it back to Kahr for them to tweak it runs flawlessly. I like having .45 firepower in such a small concealable package, and I have no problem with the recoil.
  12. Too funny! Don't mean to hijack the thread, but did anyone else see this video at the same site? Hope it wasn't loaded..... Girl Has Freakish Reaction to Gift video clip - Funny videos - BoomClips.com
  13. Great job, and great dad.
  14. A while back I bought some custom-cut grip tape for my Springfield XD compact on e-bay. I think I paid around $10 and didn't have to cut anything. (It even came with two sets - one with a rough texture and another more smooth and rubber-like.) It has stayed on the grip really well through quite a few trips to the range and occasional carry. You may be able to find something like that for your EMP.
  15. I had the same problem with my Kahr pm45 - it suddenly started dropping the magazine during firing. People kept telling me it was my grip, but I never used to have a problem with it. Since I'd also had a few fte's and a problem with the slide stop spring, I sent it back to Kahr and had them look at it. They replaced a few parts, and now it works great.
  16. I work in a Metro Nashville government building, with a security-gated fence. Signs are posted at the security gate and the building's only entrance. If it was just the risk of being fired I would probably keep my weapon locked in my truck, but it's not worth the risk of losing my permit.
  17. +1 - I absolutely can not carry at work, and am forced to either break the law or make the commute at all hours with no weapon.

    My taurus PT1911

My PT1911 is stock, and I like it just fine - but now you've got me thinking..

    Scope on a handgun?

OK.. You guys have convinced me - something else to add to my wish list.

    New layout

For what it's worth, I'm viewing this on an iPad tonight and it's working great. The borders (black) make it really easy to scroll via touch - an issue I have on lots of other sites. I like it.
  21. Deep breath... Deep breath... Everything is ok now. Whew!

    FATHERS DAY GIFT

Very nice - a classic. I'll probably get a tie.
  23. I had to spend an hour by the side of I24 around midnight the other night after blowing a tire.. I was returning home after having dinner at a restaurant that served alcohol. Sure glad I didn't have to leave my gun at home this time!
  24. The church I attend sometimes has some pretty rough people in the congregation, and there are a LOT of them packed into a small location. I never quite felt comfortable before getting my permit and carrying. Now we sit near (one of the few) exits and enjoy the service. (I figure it doesn't hurt to ask for a little blessing on my carry gun once in a while either.)
