I have a PPS in .40 that I keep thinking I should sell because I never carry it... It does have a snappy recoil, but it's manageable, and the gun is darn accurate. I prefer .40 over 9mm for a defensive round. Also - I don't know about your area, but my local Wal-Mart has had .40 available, even when everything else (including 9mm) has been sold out.

Me too.. My shoulder was bruised for a long time. Won't make that mistake again - I don't care if it's 'authentic' or not, my Stoeger double barrell coach gun now wears a high-tech pad on the stock.

Part of me hopes that if I'm ever in a situation like this I'll be cool enough not to draw and fire at the guy.. The other part hopes my reflex will be to shoot him - and that's probably the part that will keep me alive. Glad it worked out the way it did for you.

Whats scary is that those people are probably voting today....

You could call your local Animal Control or Humane Society - I know here in Nashville they will help out in situations like this, and only involve the police if the animal is being abused.

I haven't found anything better for IWB. BUT, most of the time I carry OWB, in a Bianchi model 82 carry-lock - I have several of them for different guns.

I agree - I have one of these for my LCR and love it. The gun 'clicks' into the holster, and needs no additional retention. It conceals well, and is really easy and quick to use.

Looks great! I've used the Special Walnut for numerous projects - it's a great product/color. I'd bet your son will be pretty proud.
