  1. Im still on the fence, while i have had car issues( fixed for now) and now GF issues( in process), I don't know if i really can afford a $240 knife. (i already have about 10 gerber blades stashed in various places in the house, truck and atv.   Now if it holds its edge and dosent need sharpening all the time, I might reconsider. I always need a sharp knife.   I posted last right before i saw the deadline extended to October 15th, If i can make it work, i might still reconsider.
  2. I prefer buying in the state of TN but will order online if i have to. Since i'm getting paid weekly, i need to finish my AR soon. I'm still wanting to go with a 300 blackout in a rifle ( not carbine) model.   All I need now is the   Barrel Bolt reciever Charging handle and some magpul furniture.   I have my lower built and my upper partially built. If I have forgotten any parts on my list please let me know.   Had so much going on these past few months, i'm looking forward to my finalizing this project.   Also, Any insight on some 300 blackout ammo would be helpful.   Thanks.

  4. I'm gonna have to back out on this one. Sorry guys. I have unexpected expenses of finding a more reliable truck soon as my 1998 durango which has served me well since 1999 is having transmission issues.   Would love one but i got bigger issues on the horizon.
  5. Better to go down fighting for your life than just giving up and dying. Regardless of the race of the perpetrators of this crime, I know i won't be a victim and i hope everyone else who has the right to defend themselves with lethal force is not a victim either.   Nobody deserves what those heathens delivered, I hope those responsible are caught and delivered swift justice. But we know not every one of them will be caught, but everyone has their due.
  6. If a white person hurts another minority it is called racism, but reverse the situation and they do nothing. Talk about being unequal.   I remember some guy ( who was black) on facebook during a discussion about the Zimmerman case and how he said some of those in the black community were planning on seeking retribution against whites. I remember telling him That they better be careful on which neighborhoods they enter. As most of us aren't going to be unarmed and anyone who enters my house with the intention to do me, my family or my loved ones harm, would be met with deadly force.   Then the fact that I have black neighbors who would be there to help defend the neighborhood against any attackers.   That shut him up real quick.   Regardless of race, anyone who attacks someone without provocation and then attempts to beat the living snot out of them and anyone who attempts to help the victims should be met with deadly force. Otherwise we will be paying for it down the road.

    Shop Kroger

But dads shop at Kroger too. Not just moms. Keep your weapons concealed and out of sight and there won't be any issue even if this MDA thing is sucessful. Stores want our business regardless if we do or don't carry. MDA is just another "bully" organization funded by those who are misguided into thinking anyone with a openly carried firearm is going to be the next unsafe shooter. Remember, they are going after those that openly carry firearms in these places. And in turn those that they are sucessful in getting the rules changed seem to want to ban firearms altogether.   I've read where since Target banned firearms in their stores, that there have been several robberies in the parking lots of said stores in parts of Georgia.   I've not set foot in a Starbucks since they banned firearms. I'll still buy their coffee, but if i'm ever near a starbucks store, I'll do drive thru. Target, I still patronize, but I conceal. Not taking a chance on getting robbed by some thugs in the parking lot.
  8. I signed it even though it isn't going to mount to anything.   The government will do whatever it thinks is the best for us the little people.
  9. Yesterday in Kentucky( bowling green) my fiancee and I were turning around to get somewhere when this prick in a corvette is behind us starts honking his horn for her to turn. She won't turn into oncoming traffic and apparently the dummy behind us couldn't see cause his car is lower to the ground than her Camry.   If it were me in my truck, I would have just waited a bit longer.
  10. Most big cities i try to stay out of if i can help it. ( there are idiotic drivers even way out in the boonies). But stupid drivers are everywhere. There's no avoiding them no matter where we go. Heck, there are idiotic walkers on the sidewalks. lol
  11. If someone is tailgating me, I slow down and let them pass. They get ugly about it, it is no big deal. They however threaten me, it might be a big deal if i was infear for my life or my family's life.   Now since i'm working 10 hours a day, 4 days a week, I don't encounter too many road ragers. Usually follow fellow employees to work, and then home. No problems.   But get me in Atlanta, where they can't drive and i'll wish i stayed home.
  12. I decided to go with a better holster than the "Versa carry" option i had been using. Basically, the Versacarry broke and I had to get a better concealment holster. Went with a Mad dog leather holster for the shield. It isn't exactly what I wanted, but i know i won't lose my firearm.
  13. I start on days for a while. but thing is, I'll have senority on the next group that comes in to the plant. I'll be in the New Infinity plant making motors for infinity and Mercedes Benz.   Supposed to get fancy uniforms as well.   I'm excited. Start at the plant tomorrow.
  14. Neighbors are surely armed. Plus the TPD officer down the street. I'm in a brick fortress, with a good view of the street. I think I'll be ready if it ever happens everyone says, but when it and if it ever happens, they sing a different tune.   Sit it out and wait. But make sure your neighbors are ok. Like a family we watch each others backs.
  15. With Synthetics you probably can go 10k or more miles between changes. If I only had put synthetic in my durango back when i first got it, i'm sure i would have saved more money in the long run.   Since you're running synthetic, stay with full synthetic. It costs more but lasts longer. I only use full synthetic in my can-am ( atv) and it keeps it cooler. Running Amsoil right now. Stuff is expensive but well worth it.   Next vehicle I get will probably be converted to full synthetic.
  16. The range and the trails will be free of congestion from the weekend shooters and riders. Only thing is my Fiancee would like for me to have the same schedule as she has( as she is a schoolteacher) but low guys on the totem pole have to take what they can get. She know it, It's not like i'll be working all the time. May try to get daytime shift on weekends.   I have a few friends who work weekends anyways, just eventually I hope to get weekday schedule. Cause most everyone I know has weekends off.   But I'm glad to have this opportunity. I want to succeed. Thanks
  17. I haven't been working at walmart in 9 months, but lemme tell you most want to work, it's the "more chiefs than indians" reality as there seems to be more managers than lowly employees. As a former employee, i got told more than once to do something differently by no less than 5 different managers all at the same time.   But, go to a wal-mart when it is newly opening and if the managers treat their employees good, then those employees will have a better positive attitude. But there's always he case where no matter how nice you are to someone, they still treat you like :poop: .   After a while, some employees get tired of it and move on, some stay and become worse managers than their predecessors. I've seen it, i don't agree with it. One reason why I'm out of it.
  18. This is the OP,   Orientation went well, same usual stuff they go over. I start training monday and goes for 2 weeks. Then it's going to be the weekend shift, but i got my foot in the door so thats all that matters.
  19. Anytime someone takes something from someone else without some sort of compensation, wouldn't that be considered theft?   Under a certian ammount it is defined as petty theft, Over a certian ammount it could be considered robbery. We don't know if they pulled a knife or a gun on the clerk, or if they just threatened the clerk. We do know the OP wasn't in any immediate danger and that you don't have the right to pull your firearm to protect property.   Let the Insurance company and Police work it.
  20. President Obama walks into a local bank in Chicago to cash a check. He is surrounded by Secret Service agents. As he approaches the cashier he says, "Good morning Ma'am, could you please cash this check for me?" Cashier: "It would be my pleasure sir. Could you please show me your ID?" ... Obama: "Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I didn't think there was any need to. I am President Barack Obama, the President of the United States of AMERICA !!!!" Cashier: "Yes sir, I know who you are, but with all the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of 9/11, impostors, forgers, money laundering, and bad mortgage underwriting not to mention requirements of the Dodd/Frank legislation, etc., I must insist on seeing ID." Obama: “Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they will tell you. Everybody knows who I am." Cashier: "I am sorry Mr. President but these are the bank rules and I must follow them." Obama: "I am urging you, please, to cash this check. I need to buy a gift for Michelle for Valentine’s Day" Cashier: "Look Mr. President, here is an example of what we can do. One day, Tiger Woods came into one of our bank branches without ID. To prove he was Tiger Woods he pulled out his putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank into a coffee cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his check.” “Another time, Andre Agassi came into the same place without ID. He pulled out his tennis racquet and made a fabulous shot where as the tennis ball landed in a coffee cup. With that shot we cashed his check. So, Mr. President, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only you, as the President of the United States?" Obama: Obama stands there thinking, and thinking, and finally says, "Honestly, my mind is a total blank...there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do and I don’t have a clue.” Cashier: "Will that be large or small bills, Mr. President?
  21. HMMM, assuming i get paid before september 15th, I'm in for one. Gotta match my TGO AR,SO if #36 isn't claimed I'd like that.
  22. No offense taken. I can feel my pistol next to my undies( lower back area) just fine. In order to grab my pistol in it's holster(remember it's a versacarry), he/she would have to come at me at some sort of weird angle and that would be sensed fast.   When out by myself or just out non-church clothes, I don't have the problem with open carrying, all covered under a shirt.   Can't wait til I can get a better quality summer holster, I tried the versa carry and it's fine, but dosen't offer much comfort.   Hopefully when winter rolls around, i can use my better concealment holsters and it won't matter what i carry. I could carry both.
  23. Might is a strong word. I should have inserted "sarcasm" to that sentence.   I'm over it, it is done. I think it actually bothered my fiancee more than it does me.   I don't go to Texas, The OC activists down there are idiots. And telling me to team up with the village idiot is just wrong. :stunned:   Apparently I needed emotion hyphens stating my feelings at that time. Because some people are just too serious. :surrender:   I gues moral of the story is to cover up if you don't want unwanted advice, if you can't then you'll have to deal with someone saying something or the possibility of offending someone.   Which is inevitable this day in age.   But thanks all for the plusses and minuses. We all know how to give our :2cents: .
  24. well, might just go open carry once :ugh:  :taser: ( and meaning to) just to see how many people actually notice or actually care. Not trolling, just curious about peoples reactions. I may even record it on video or write a journal about it. One would think here in a more gun friendly state that peoples reactions would not be so much. but i guess that means there are more people to educate than we think.   When I was working in retail I was the one who first noticed if someone was open carrying. I guess being around firearms has helped. But i never outed anyone, never tell them they are openly carrying( when they are trying to conceal either). Even as a customer i never stick my nose in someone elses business. Not my problem, until it affects me, i stay the heck out of it.
  25. All this from dressing up for church?  99.99% of the time i dress casual for church( yes they even are fine with wearing shorts). So I'm 99.99% of the time concealed. The only part of my handgun that was showing was the back half of the grip and the back of the slide.   In that store that day, 99.99% of the people there didn't notice or didn't care. But I still think that .01% should have minded his own business instead of being a busybody. (Fiancees word).   I actually thought it was partially concealed, that dosen't mean it is Openly carried. But that is why we're a HCP ( open or concealed) state right?   Only time i have openly carried in the past was out on the atv or the kayak.
