  1. I have my 9mm shield as my EDC, My Glock 23 sits in the drawer in my nightstand. Shield sits in the truck when at work, since i cannot carry in the building.( nor would I want to).   I found extra magazines on sale somewhere online at one time but it has been a while so i forget which site was the cheapest. I have bought 2 extra 8 round magazines for my Bug out kit.   Don't use aluminum cartridges for plinking, I had a couple failed ejections last time i went out shooting. Only going to use brass from now on.   As for holsters, I use a "Mad dog" belt mounted holster for mine. Also fits the glock 23 ( and i think most if any glocks out there). Had a Versacarry ( went thru 2 of them) I dropped both of them( separate times) and they broke, so they aren't as durable as a good leather holster.

    HH GREGG

Eh, Even though i don't work for them anymore: Electronic Express would have better selection and help than HH Gregg. But I warn you, they are going to try and sell you an extended warranty and any accessories they think you might need.   Return policy sucks though, you have 7 days to return for cash, after that it's 30 day exchange.   Reason why i buy Best Buy if i'm ever looking for a TV, try to find them on sale at Sam's club if you want the best deal.
  3. If you want Bose, you could go with this one.   http://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/bose-soundlink-color-bluetooth-speaker-red/   My friend who works for verizon has one and it sounds great.   I have this one.   http://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/altec-lansing-life-jacket-waterproof-bluetooth-speaker/
  4. check out the speakers at your local verizon store. I got one that is waterproof/dustproof and shock proof. For around $150. Plus i'll use it when we go kayaking cause it will float if dropped overboard.   How inexpensive are you wanting to go? remember sometimes the cheaper ones sound better than some of the expensive ones. But you get what you pay for.
  5. yes, FORD.   I considered a Dodge ram 1500 crew cab, even the new chevy colorado. Test drove a Titan and a Frontier. None had the feel of the f-150.   Also another main point of me buying a ford. After the Govt bail out of both GM and Chrysler/Dodge, I knew #1 on my list would be FORD.   Now to get rid of the 2 GM cars we have left and it'll be only fords here. But fat chance on that. The intrigue is probably going to be my gas saver/sipper for work. And I doubt dad will part with his 1965 GTO anytime soon.   If i could figure out how to upload images i would. But the darn options on this forum are so complicated. What ever hapened to just allowing copy and paste?
  6. 2014 ford f-150 extended cab fx4 with the ecoboost 3.5. Fully loaded. first time i have a vehicle with leather.   Lifetime powertrain warranty from Ford of Murfreesboro.     Oh, and it's that Blue Flame color.
  7. Bought a new truck, Since my Durango was on the fritz after having 237,000 miles on it. I did not want to take a chance on getting stranded.   I actually bought it saturday before thanksgiving. Had 7 miles on the odo. First ever new vehicle for me, I use to get hand me downs or used vehicles. I'll post pics when i have time to take some. Just been busy past 2 weeks and then some.   Yes, my job is going well.
  8. I went with a 5 bike( yeah, and it's usually just me) Yakima rack for the reciever hitch. Went with that one thinking i might one day have a family to carry around( bikes and all). Seems i prepared right, Just got to get the fiancee onto a bike. The 6 year old has one, just momma has to walk faster to keep up.
  9. I have experience with Yakima racks.   Thule is another well known brand.   These are the 2 most popular( maybe most sold) brands.   Seems I see more racks on backs of jeeps( minus the bikes) these days more than ever.
  10. You just got an early christmas present.   Congratulations Cuz. On the birth of your third child.
  11. Surely not,   You make more than I do, But right now i don't have a house payment or car payment.
  12. And I was just in Oak Ridge this past weekend. ( There's definately more to do there than in Tullahoma).   The afore mentioned places to go in and around Tullahoma are a good start though.   I wish Tullahoma had it's own gun store, aside from a pawn shop, there really isn't much choices unless you consider Dunham's. Makes me wonder what happened to the Chi-Rho firearms place we had.   I'll check Hero gear from time to time( when i'm not working and in Winchester). But the pawn shop just down the road from HeroGear seems to have pretty good pricing and selection to be competitive with Herogear.
  13. Not knocking the overtime. I welcome it. Was told today that overtime will be now until at least february of next year. Ramping up production in a few weeks and we are going to split into two shifts. Luckily, I'm on day shifts( which for a while won't see much if any sun). But it'll be worth it.   This week we have been working 12 hour days. I told the fiancee not to plan anything for a while. I may just only get one day a week off or no time off some weeks. Which if anyone has a family will be tough, but well worth it in the end.   Know I love the extra $$ i'm earning. It's a lot better than working retail or not having a job altogether.
  14. Soon, very soon....   This past weekend i went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge with my fiancee and our 6 yr old. ( My birthday was monday). And as an early B-day present she got me a LCD bacpak for my Go-pro.   We went to cades cove, went to Dollywood and the Nascar speedpark. Had a great time. (Also went to SMKW, Coleman outlet and Basspro).   This weekend it'll be just me and the Fiancee ( riding at Windrock). Her B-day is Friday( I already got her gift(s)together. But after this weekend, I'm afraid our family/couple trips will be nil until the holidays.   Was told to expect 6 day weeks and maybe 7 day weeks. 10 hour days I'm thinking.
  15. Glad willis got his numbers in. I would have jumped on this if i didn't have so much else going on. Working 12 hour days 5-6 days a week( for now).
  16. My driveway is becoming a car lot. And I own only one of them.   I can usually tell vehicles apart, being raised up around cars most of my life, even though I have only owned 3 vehicles( not all at the same time).   Its usually the newer car that gets me though, unless I have seen one before, It takes me a little while to decipher what it is.
  17. I personally have no problem with someone getting assistance from the government, that is if that person is trying to get back on their feet and back into the workforce to fend for themselves like the rest of us. Welfare and EBT( same) should be used temporary and not be a permanent solution.  And yes, I am for mandatory drug testing for welfare ( you test positive, and no govt assistance for you).   Sickens me that those of us who dont ever ask for help are the ones that look poor, yet those deadbeats who make a living off the government teat, seem to be the wealthy ones.   Just know the Black market is alive with the selling of food stamps for cash. I see it all the time. and yet the government dosent crack down on that illegal activity.
  18. I know this is kinda outof the area for some but i have had great luck with Country Barn Construction out of Belvidere, TN.   Made by Mennonites and believe me they know quality.   I had a 16x10 at my old house and now have a 28x14 at my current residence.   www.countrybarnconstruction.com
  19. It has been 5 years( will be 6 in march 2015). I miss her everyday. But i always remember her words of wisdom. Since getting my permit i haven't been able to carry every day( mostly due to where i was working) but i do have a gun in my vehicle for when I'm off. I carry to church( even though it might not be needed, I still dont want to take a chance). Since my Fiancee has her permit and as a school teacher she can have her gun at work( just in her car), I don't worry as much, but the worry part will always be there somewhat. When you have family and loved ones you care about, you will worry about what can happen. Hence I am usually the over-prepared guy. Better to have and not need than to need and not have.
  20. I wasnt raised around guns as much as most people. Sure living in suburbia ( small town of Tullahoma) from being born in 1975 and growing up in this town there wasnt much need for us being armed, At least that is what my parents thought. My first gun was a Daisy bb rifle, and i used to shoot squirrells in the backyard all the time. Then I moved to Fayetteville for 8 years and while I was down there i was into atvs( still am) but went on a ride one day with a couple of friends and there was some drunk old man riding with us that kept on trying to start something. I not being the violent person just shrugged it off but wondered what could I do if i was out on the trails alone. My mom was the one that told me to get my permit, she was worried about me living in the country and so close to Huntsville, AL. But my first rifle was given to me the christmas of 2008 by my aunt. Just a  semi auto .22, but it works. Went out in Feb 2009 and got my first handgun( Glock 23). Sadly, having a gun could not prevent what happened to my mother in march ( house fire/smoke inhallation), But her words of worry stuck with me. That spring i took my course, got my permit and have been carrying ever since.
  21. Never had a problem towing my 14 ft trailer in other states or here for that matter. No tag for personal use is needed.  I wouldn't get one if it wasnt required, just seems like a waste of money.
  22. Still up in the air on the 300 blackout. if ammo is hard to come by i might just stick to another 5.56 in a non-carbine rifle.   Don't know if i want to stay all black or go with another color. Right now I have my current AR Black with tan(FDE) magpul furniture.   Not in any huge hurry as i have other things i need sooner than later. But hopefully this build wont take me another year to build.   Thanks for the advice/help.
  23. And JWC is my cousin.   I just wished i had the NASA channel. I did however get to see some photos on facebook.
  24. Already have the dvd set.   Seen most of the series 4 on tv right before AMC decided to drop my cable( Light-tube).   Looking forward to season 5 ( if i can get someone to record it for me).
