Proof pretty much the 22 ammo thing is about over
Wyldk2 replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Well, working at wal-mart had it's advantages. I knew what and when ammo came in on a truck. I have seen bulk .22 bricks at wal-mart. But believe me, they didn't last all that long when I was working for Wal-mart. It's worse than black friday madness. -
REI is having a sale on their "black diamond"headlamps. I think 25% off. Some have the red light option and are very bright. I just got a 200 lumen light for around $60( was $80).

I picked up mine today. All they do is ask your name. Hand you the kit you ordered and make you fill out the BG check and they'll ask for your user name on TGO. Bought a trigger kit and UTG stock kit from D&T while i was there. So i at least have a better head start than i oridinally intended. Decided I am going to go with a 300 blackout for the upper. The lower i can at least have some use with my old S&W sport upper. Least until I get all the parts together to build the Blackout. Great bunch of guys to do business with. I only wish i lived a bit closer.

Just waiting on one final piece beforei can send mine out. I'll try to not send out a part of this cold i have though. Someof what I'm sending out is gun-related, some not. I figure most everyone on this board has at least one thing in common( we like guns, that is a given) but we also like to be prepared. The name that was drawn for me didn't have anything in their profile to tell me what they like but i'm sure they will like what I'm going to be sending them.

Just a sore throat so I thought... I at least was allowed to go home early from work and rest up. Hopefully i will be feeling better by saturday. Cause i know no matter what, I'm gonna be getting up to Goodlettsville for my upper and lower.

I haven't gotten a flu shot and never will get one. With all the crap they put in shots these days, I've usually gotten the flu after getting a shot. Not again...

Did it start with a sore throat? then sick as a dog and explosive diarhea? Co-worker had it and told me his symptoms.

I guess i'll be doing some christmas shopping this weekend. As well as picking up my TGO lower and upper. Coming in from Tullahoma.

Probably next week before i can send mine out. I been working non-stop it seems. I already got most of it together, just waiting on one more item and then box it up and ship out. I plan on not being a bart of the d-bag list ever...

I replaced a cracked screen on my old Ipod touch for roughly $50, Had to get a frame as well since the old one came apart while I was taking the old screen out. It is easy, just watch a couple videos on youtube before you begin and follow the instructions carefully. The tools they sent me ( weren't no pop-sicle sticks) plastic tools, Yet youdon't want to use anything metal when taking them apart aside from the screws. Works fine, though i might just have to upgrade to a newer ipod since mine's kinda out of date.

Investing in foreign currency is just like investing in american currency. Unless it is backed by real value it basically is worthless if you rely on it being valued by the word of the government. Invest in Gold and silver, or ammo ( as of lately). Only currency that really is worth something would be the pre-1960's silver laced coins or some sort of rare currency. In order for something to be valuable it has to be in demand and in very little quantity.

Good. Now i found out Plasmas are going out (prices are dropping), LED's are replacing the LCD's and OLED's are going to replace LED's one of these days. Funny thing is, I remember when Plasmas were the hot TV, and they cost a small fortune the first few years out.

Trying to play the Walmart .22 game
Wyldk2 replied to theTastyCat's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Haven't bought any ammo since i quit wal-mart. I have enough put back so i probably won't have to replenish my stores for a while... Plus not being able to go to the range as much has helped. I'm sure the .22 lr ammo shortage will blow over soon. Just takes a bit of time, do away with the demand and the product will slowly re-emerge. -

They could have been broken. The ammo and guns were probably moved to a more secure lockup room in the back. I'm sure the sporting goods person is at the gun desk on occasion, just they sell more than just guns and ammo at wal-mart. Sometimes the store is so understaffed the sporting goods person on duty gets called to another department. I know there is nobody scheduled in these departments after 10 pm, everyone that works at wal-mart is supposed to take a lunch and 2 (15) min breaks. Might be when you're there, the person assigned there is on lunch, break or doing something besides being in the ammo/gun area. -

If they( resellers) have a problem with you photographing them, I guess they need to get out of the reselling business then. Talk about ammo Paparazzi. lol -
www.rotopax.com For whenever SHTF, or you need a better fuel storage solution. I have a couple of the 4 gallon packs and a few of the 1 gallon packs mainly for use on my atv. But i guess if it ever comes to it, I'll be able to hide fuel and still be able to carry more gear. ( makes sense if you ever think you need to hide your extra fuel if a disaster strikes.

I'm guessing you don't have the best picture your tv can produce then?, Ok, do what you want it is your money and your tv. But you don't put regular unleaded gas in a race car, so why the cheap POS cables? Reason I say this is i recently attended a Product imformation seminar on Monster. Don't get me wrong, I used to buy the cheaper cables all the time but thinking i may change up since the Monsters have a guarantee on them. One cable that is guaranteed to work, and free upgrades if the technology ever exceeds the capacity of the cable.

Next time, just IM instead of posting it out for the world to see. I used to work at Wal-mart, Unloading trucks. And the pallets of dog food placed on TVs is no exaggeration. Seen my share of the stupid things from the DC's and made me want to go tell those who load the trucks that they are a bunch of overpaid idiots.

Someone suggested putting the ammo out several times per day. Well, all good in theory until you realize the people who have to stock the ammo have other things to do besides worry about ammo. The managers are always delegating other jobs and tasks that the employees need to be doing. After all, Wal-mart isn't just an ammo and gun store, they sell other things as well and can't spend all their time putting out ammo just to satisfy those who can't get any. Just my opinion. If youwant to really make it hard on the resellers, try to photo them and post it online, let everyone know who these jokers are and tell them to not buy from them. -
Cheap tvs are one thing but cheap cables( video) are another. Better get the Monster cables for your next purchase( as the cables aside from the power one isn't included in the box). Best picture and sound quality and they are guaranteed to work.

I like mine so far. If you use regular pellets with it, the suppressor does it's job. But the PBA ammo still will sound like a .22 even with the suppressor. Trigger pull is not hard, but not easy enough where you can't feel it. Safety though is you press a lever( at the trigger) forward then the rifle is armed.
