We don't need or want another war. But if the gun grabbers keep on trying to push their agenda on the rest of us. I can guarantee most of the American people have a breaking point and we all can take so much. Just wish the POTUS would worry more about what is going on here in the states with our own people before telling Russia "We are against their decisions to invade Crimea". Instead of helping these other countries out around the globe, worry about the homefront first. We have people unemployed, starving and at their breaking points and yet there is aid given to these other countries that "hate" us. I'm sorry, but enough is enough. SO what if Russia invades Crimea, does it affect the majority of the american public? Heck no.

I've gotten my lower built. and some parts for my upper are supposed to come by(UPS) tomorrow. But all I need is BCG, Barrel, Gas tube, gas block and of course the charging handle. I figure the BCG and Barrel are going to be my expensive parts as I plan to make a 300 BLackout. Then the furniture will be high. but still not sure if i want a carbine or a full (longer) handguard.

I have half of one but i'm building mine piece by piece. Since the house will no longer be a huge chunk of taking my money away, I'll have some more money for whatever. But have to help dad out with his bills since i'm living here pretty cheap as it is.   I will have mine built hopefully by the end of the year though.

I didn't get the asking price but i did get more than i owed. I'm just going to be glad to not have to make another payment or utility payment for something i don't live at.   Now comes the hard part, moving my furniture and all my other stuff i overlooked.

Probably a 12 pointer. I really didn't catch the size of the buck, just more intrested in my ride than the wildlife. Man, I have deer in my neighborhood all the time( I've been within 12 ft of a few and they seem to know i'm not going to hurt them).

Not to  re-direct traffic here to my workplace. But as you know i do work for a local electronics store( Electronic Express). Based out of Nashville ( so the money stays local). The only touchscreens I've seen so far in the desktop models is on the "all-in-one" space-saver desk-top models. I have had several people not like windows 8 for some reason and they ask me all the time if we sell any computers that don't run it. ( only going to be a Mac or apple product for that).   True, the Windows 8 is geared more for the touchscreens coming out but it is easily accessible even without the fancy touchscreen.   Asus, HP, Dell, Gateway, Sony, Acer,etc... are all good computer brands, but it is probably best if you talk to someone unbaised before you decide to buy. I would check consumer reports first, then narrow your choices to the three top models you are interested in and go from there.   I know if i were the one selling a computer or anything to you, I would rather you be a happy repeat customer than an unhappy "never-shop-there-again" customer.   Now my personal computer was a dell, until i found out it was running too slow and didn't have enough necessary options for some programs iwas running at the time. So I upgraded to an ASUS gaming laptop( which was really out of my budget at the time) But it has all the power and memory i would ever need, so there is no need for any upgrade anytime soon( let's hope so).

I have #36.   I have already built my lower. And the upper is waiting on parts( which i am waiting on $$ in order to purchase them).    Priorities though, having a new girlfriend( who by chance is a HCP holder) Props to her.   I have finally found a buyer for my house, so ensues the routine of getting everything ready before closing.   And, last but not least.... It's the job I have right now that takes up time.    I'll get to my upper build soon as my house is sold. :up:

Best thing to do, Take a camera or(use your cell phone) and take pictures or better yet, Video these guys bragging about their making money on the little guy and post it up on youtube and face book. I bet you'll reach a bunch of people that way.

We can moan and complain all we want but until wal-mart does something about these guys( who are known resellers), It's just going to be like talking to a wall.   Now, set up a sting operation with the local tax revenue agency( TN tax, etc...) and i'm sure it'll slow down. That is if the government actually cared about these who are re-selling and not paying the government it's share.

Shouldn't just getting these guns back into their rightful owners and out of potiental criminals( aside from the thieves) be enough of a reward? I know sometimes it takes $$ to get people to be more on the lookout but Jeez.

Home, auto, atv: all thru State Farm.   Never had an issue with them, plus i never had to track them down when I had a problem( car accident).

Usually 7 am. But it could beright after their trucks are unloaded in the evening.

Since i haven't been working at wal-mart,I haven't really checked on ammo much.Haven't had a need to buy ammo unless i happen to come across some that i need. I don't have to get my limit either. But hopefully the new system some wal-marts are in process of using benefits those of us who want to shoot and not just the re-sellers.   I still never heard from that guy i was going to help when I was working at Manchester's walmart.

    That's a lot of stuff to carry. I used to carry a lot of the same stuff when I was living way out in the county. Since moving, i do carry some stuff, just reduced the unnecessary items i probably won't need on aregular basis.   However in my "kit" I have   Machete bow saw Bottled water Energy bars Rechargable flashlight ( handcrank/solar charged) Thermal blanket First aid kit Firestarter Matches/lighter   ( all this in a camelbak if i have to hoof it)   In my vehicle i carry jumpercables Extra fluids ( oil/AT fluid/Anti-freeze) Funnel Paper towels Zip ties/duct tape Socket sets in metric and SAE 30,000 lb tow strap Bungee cords, ratchet straps Heatpacks   As for a weapon, i usually carry extra mags in my backpack and keep a pistol locked in a lockbox. Just in case.   I may never need all this stuff but you never know.   When I go on extended trips i usually carry more stuff. Usually overplan for the worst and yet it never happens....

Could tell the management of the "posted" establishment you will not be carrying your wallet with you if you cannot carry into their establishment. If i know a place is "posted" and I have to go in there ( say the post office) for example. I'll disarm just to follow the law. But if it is somewhere else where i can spend my dollars elsewhere, I'll politely tell the management, My wallet goes where i'm allowed to carry, not allowed to carry, then my wallet isn't allowed to go either.   Anybody know where one can get those double sided business cards to give out to "posted" businesses?

I have a permit, and i carry 90% of the time( at least have access to a handgun). The only time I cannot carry is while at work or if i happen to have to go to a "posted" place. I would rather not go to a "posted" place at all but sometimes, i have to go to the post office.   Now my father asked me once if he should get his permit before he goes to the range sometime. He seems to think you have to have a permit to go to the range or just have one loaded in the house. There are a lot of people i have talked to ( older people mainly) that seem to think just having a permit on you is enough. Wrong, a permit is just a piece of plastic, if you don't carry then it is useless. You aren't getting the worthiness out of having a permit if you keep forgetting your gun at home.   JMHO

The brown truck delivered my Secret santa gift today. Just what i wanted. I had been meaning to get some sort of firearm related hat and always needed a new drinking mug. I recieved a 5.11 hat, Barrett coffee mug, LA police gear insulated mug, a nano light by streamlight and a copy of recoil magazine.   If i could figure out how to post a photo online i would just show you.   Thanks secret santa.

We have non-TN resident members on here. Some plan to move in the near future some may just want to know what makes TN so special. I think anyone who loves firearms, owns and loves to talk about them should be allowed to join. As long as you follow the rules, there shouldn't be a problem.

Supposedly today Tullahoma High schoolwas on lockdown earlier today. It was all because of some kid reporting as a prank that there was someone with a gun in the school. Since then, that(teenager) was arrested and charged with making a false report.   Least that is what i heard.

As a sales person in an electronics store. I see the bigger demand for tablets( ipad/samsung galaxy?ETC...) Bluetooth speakers and Beats(headphones) well any higher quality headphones in general. Those are what we've sold the most of besides TV's of course. Everyone wants the "beats" headphones but at $199 a pop some parents are questioning that purchase.
