  1. Yes but I have not shot it yet.
  2. When these were first made they shot a rimfire cartridge. Thats why you see two firing pin holes in the pic below. However, with the adoption of the 8mm M1889 Krag-Jorgensen the need to update or abandon the Remington design became acute. In 1896 they were withdrawn from infantry service, converted to centerfire cartridge and issued to coast and fortress artillerymen. This rifle was made in 1882 and converted to 11.7x51 somewhere around 1896-1897.
  3. Don't know a lot about the old stuff but I did just pick up a Danish m-1867 rolling block in 11.7 Danish (basically a 45-70). It is a cool old rifle.
  4. It would have to be a reallllllly nice 1911...
  5. Don't have anything nickel plated. I think they wil look good contrasted against a nice dark frame.
  6. HAHA! I wish. I think these will look good on a 1911. Now to find the right 1911 to put them on.
  7. I doubt it. An arrow leaves a pretty large wound when you consider the width of the blades and how much tissue it cuts. A FMJ leaves a little hole and does not do much damage. Thats why they are illegal.
  8. After comparing these to a lot of grips online, I think @gregintenn is correct. A pair of smooth elk antler grips were the closest in color, grain and pattern. Thanks for the help guys.
  9. That is a nice scope. Which adjustments did you go with, MOA or MRAD?
  10. Time to get online and do some comparing.
  11. 1967 Colt Alamo SAA 45 and 22/45 Combo
  12. Very cool pic.
  13. I assume they are either some kind of bone or antler. Anybody have a more specific guess?

    Go Vols!

We didn't play great but a lot of that was just because Alabama was the better team.
  15. Got mine today. Was looking at it when I turned it on and damn. Was seeing a yellow spot for 25 minutes. Dad saw it and made me order him one. It is a bright light.
  16. I have both and if you are wanting to carry it some, definitely get the 20 first. The 40 is awesome but I don't think you would want to carry it.
  17. S&W Sport II from Guns N More
  18. That was a pretty cool video.
  19. She is the Executive Director of the TWRF. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation, Inc. (TWRF) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1999 to support the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and to promote habitat conservation, responsible land stewardship, and the preservation of Tennessee's hunting and fishing heritage. TWRF assists TWRA with youth education programs as well as strategic land acquisitions to provide opportunities for habitat conservation/restoration and public hunting. Through our fundraising efforts and support, we provide a synergy to help the TWRA realize its goals.

    New Toy.

    Very nice. Love the blue.
  22. I usually hunt a small piece of land so it is not real helpful. It has a lot of nice features. I like the wind data. I see this app being useful if you hunt a lot of new property or large tracts of land. I have tried a lot of hunting apps and most are over complicated and therefore do not get used.
  23. It is a good app. I started using it last year.
