FYI If you're looking for a holster for it, Fury Carry Solutions has added the VP9 to their quick ship option. Got mine today.

I noticed Palmetto State Armory was selling these not too long for the same price. The last time I bought them from Walmart (which was last year), they were $14. {edit} just checked PSA, and they're "on sale" right now for $34, marked down from a "regular price" of $50!
-
they use P30 mags, which can be had for $38.

Congrats! This was the first firearm I've ordered from CDNN, and I was impressed with the ease of the transaction (they had Bill's Outpost's FFL on file) and how fast they shipped.
-
ordered mine from CDNN yesterday. They may have some left since they aren't on the website. You'll have to call, though.

anyone seen one of these at a LGS yet? I'm ready to buy, just not at Gunbroker prices. Unfortunately, Gander Mountain is the only HK dealer around here, and I'm not even going to bother looking there.

looks like they already identified the problem... it was the lockers. "A concrete pedestal sits in the middle of the locker room, as do raised lockers, blocking coaches and teachers from viewing the entire room, McCain said. But he cautioned that he had no idea if that problem played a factor in the shooting."

It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Unfortunately, my golden died last September. His older brother (the Westie) looks like he hasn't aged in 10 years.

the zoo is pretty nice, and there's an Allen Edmonds outlet in Leeds. Other than that, I got nothing.

I've heard people talk about Gus's before... looks like I need to try it out this time.

I always look forward to a good meal when I travel. This week, I'll be in downtown Memphis for a couple days. So, where should I eat (breakfast, lunch, dinner)? I would like to keep it downtown. Off the top of my head, I've already tried: Rendezvous McEwen's Kitchen The Majestic Theater Flight Aldo's Pizza Westy's a Thai place any suggestions?

I really like the Hunter model. If they make it in .260 Rem, I may have to get one

kinda looks like they didn't finish machining the larger one. I agree, it looks sloppy.

I loved how they took out one of the pirates by leaving broken glass for him to step on. Just like Home Alone!

I recommend www.brooksgoldenblessings.com. They are responsible breeders with quality dogs. And, they don't charge an absolute fortune. Here's my boy Peyton; he was an incredible dog. He passed last September.

My wife and girls are signed up. My wife started the process on day 1 and wasn't able to shop the marketplace until mid December. Each little step, from registering to picking a plan to paying for the plan, was an ordeal, and the Obamacare 'navigators' were absolutely clueless. We finally ended up with a pretty good policy, and while it's more expensive than the private policy they were on this year, I think we'll come out ahead with better benefits. It was still much cheaper than my work's family coverage.

You can check to see how much Carmax will give you. I've gotten Carmax offers to use in trade negotiation with other dealers, and the Carmax offer has always been very fair. You do get a tax break when you trade-in with a dealer, so that can be an advantage (along with less hassle) over selling privately. Personally, I'd stick with what you have. You have a relatively low payment and low balance on a reliable, fuel efficient, late model vehicle. That car will probably last you a long time. Trading that for an older, likely high-mileage, SUV is a risk.

I'd be good with this. Last year, my kid's teacher asked the "room mom" for an iPad from the class. I thought that was aiming a bit high, but room mom made it happen. I'm sure that iPad is being used strictly for educational purposes, though.

Yep. My girls (7 & 3) loved it. They already have the gowns.

I was amazed at how much my sister got for her early 2000's V6 Mustang on Craigslist. She had it sold in a matter of hours, too. I bought my wife an Odyssey last month, and we couldn't find a good enough deal on a used one to justify it over new. We looked at a used one at a Dodge dealership in town who couldn't (or wouldn't) even match the quote we had on an identically equipped new one. It's still sitting on the lot.

I love ORSA and am a member, but, frankly, it wouldn't be the best place if you mainly want to blast away with an AK. Your options are pretty much limited to the 200 yard bench rest range, and you are only allowed to shoot paper targets fixed at the 50, 100, and 200 yard stands (no plinking). There was talk of building a multipurpose rifle range similar to the plinking range, but I haven't heard anything about that for months. A 3-gun match would be a fun place for you to run your AK, but you don't have to be a member for that.

Rate of fire looks kinda slow to me

I have a Fastfire III on an Allchin mount on my 686. This setup is so easy to shoot, it feels like cheating. If you like the Fastfire, you can save some bucks by going with the II instead of the III. I also like the Allchin mount for the Ruger Mk III. It gets the Fastfire closer to the gun than a rail mount. http://allchingunparts.com/details.php?prodId=71&category=2 If you go with the Primary Arms micro-dot, I have read that the Aimpoint Ruger mount will work. Again, it would get the sight closer to the gun than the rail. http://www.amazon.com/Aimpoint-Ruger-Mount-Micro-Sights/dp/B0057AZZPI Can you tell I've looked into this myself? :pleased:
