  1. I shot about 5000 rounds of 9mm and maybe 500 rounds of .40s during the past year.
  2. Great job gw2and4. Sharpshooter in that short a time is a very nice accomplishment. Glad you came out Tim. It was nice meeting and shooting with you and hope you come back again. The weather was wonderful Saturday. By 9:00am the rain had passed and the sun came out soon afterwards. It turned out to be a great day at the range. We had a lot of shooters class for the first time and that was great to see. Rick
  3. Thanks Allen. The video camera was a birthday gift and that was the first time I've used it. I was going to take more video of the other shooters and kept forgetting. A sign of old age I guess.
  4. Since we are on the subject. My wife took the class at Guns&Leather yesterday and scored 100% on the range with her new Bersa 380. She has only shot a few times but I have been working with her on stance, grip, sight picture and trigger control. She did good.
  5. It was great meeting you Donkey. I'm glad you had a good time. Thanks for helping us setup. See you next time. Rick

  9. Lets go after the match. I love pizza.
  10. I don't get to make the Gallatin matches very often but it looks like I"ll be there this week.
  11. Yall missed some really good stages. I really liked the stage in the woods. That one got your blood pumping.
  12. I just always ask. I wouldn't even consider a gun they won't let me dry fire but it is their stuff.
  13. A few of my favorite parts for those or you who didn't actually read the whole thing or didn't get the joke. "In a self defense scheme of things, we assume there will be a primary firearm, a backup firearm, a knife, a club,...maybe a pointed stick, and THEN the SSCP takes over where all other options have failed." "There were no fatalities at point blank range, or bleeding, or... bone fractures, however, there was clear evidence of agitation and aggravation which may have led to ulcers and a possible need for surgery further down the line. By then, under a new federally managed national health care program, surely they would all die." " It has virtually no report, so to avoid paying an NFA tax as the owner of a silenced gun, I am required to shout "Bang!" at a minimum of 82dB each time I squeeze off a shot."
  14. I don't know if anyone has seen this yet but I can't wait to get one. It will be perfect for backing up my backup gun. Real Guns
  15. Its always an adventure!!
  16. I hope shooting at the range isn't the first time you have worked on this. New techniques should not be worked on live. My recommendation is to work on this by dry firing at home. Don't even try to do it full speed. Practice at half speed while focusing on technique and efficiency of movement. Focus on keeping your finger off the trigger until your ready to shoot. I practice this and other similar stuff for IDPA all the time and 80% of the time it is done at home at 50-75% speed with snap caps.

Great looking gun and nice groups. Where did you get the grips? I have a friend who has a Springfield 1911 that he likes except for the grips are too narrow.
  18. Thanks. I knew I shot well but was still very pleasantly surprised.
  19. Scores posted. RESULTS For the 2009 IDPA Postal Match
  20. I handled a Slim today and it felt good. Let us know how she likes it.
  21. Clarksville Wal-Mart by the mall had full ammo shelves today. Grandpa's was fully stocked with everything except primers when I went yesterday.
