  1. These are the gaiters I wear. I'd steer clear of the ones with plastic inserts, they are cumbersome when siting and getting up and down. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004UOKRUU?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1&ref_=aw_bottom_links
  2. Good reminder, I always wait too late. And usually find I stored my mouth calls improperly and they are seized up. As far as snake boots, I'd pass. Over the calf boots at not comfortable unless they are rubber type, loose at the top, and those can be hot. It is a dangerous time as snakes are emerging and definitely need to be carful. I wear snake gaiters, that wrap around and velcroe and snap. They will last much longer than any pair of boots and probably Save you money in the long run. I have a pair of thick canvas gaiters that are easily 8 yrs old and they have seen much more extensive use than just turkey season.
  3. 1911 and iPhone, I like my guns like my electronics....high priced ;)
  4. I was listening to POTUS radio on XM and heard Aaron Blake of the Washington Post discussing this very topic. Now as left leaning as they are and the radio host, both seemed pretty convinced that Obama couldn't get true gun control through EO, but would probably be a "background check" type of order. And neither expect anything to actually pass Congress. Once the fervor settles and the further out we get, the less vocal people will be to see something passed. Remember Congress can pass a bill essentially canceling the EO, wich the Pres would then veto, and return to congress for majority override. So hope is not lost with an EO, but would be an uphill battle for sure. It will be interesting to see what comes in to fruition in the near future
  5. And.......... They're gone :)
  6. I like Butch
  7. Not sure, but I bet some googling would find some places pirated online. If it were me I'd just look for a written synopsis and read up. The episodes are great but will probably be hard to find
  8. DVR IS SET!
  9. I spoke with with the manager of Dave's Pawn in crossville today. He said he talked to magpul on the phone and they echoed this. They said they weren't going to expand manufacturing until political uncertainties were settled.
  10. "It's built for the dark" - dumbest thing I've ever read.
  11. That's awesome, turned out really great. Congrats.
  12. Sold out over an hour ago
  13. I don't see much fighting over 10 round glock mags. I'm buying 30 rd AR mags. I'm not even really concerned with hi cap G19 mags. I have a few, and don't need too many for that. But to the same point, why is pistol ammo being hoarded again? Or ANY ammo for that matter, I've seen no legislation or even talk of limiting ammo.
  14. DM Bullard Bodygaurd Galco Concealment
  15. Mmm yummy. Where'd you buy em from, how long was the wait?
  16.   yes, but that was just one store.  Walmart as a whole has publicly stated they are not discontinuing AR-15 sales.  I see your point that the info in your article is technically correct according to that source, just thought I would point it out.
  17. I have 9 GI mags, and 10 magpul 30 rounders, and 3 magpul 20 rounders.  I am waiting on a backorder of 10 more pmags.  If i can find a good deal Id probably pick up and additional 10 or 20.     My thoughts are the same as TGODavid,  these are consumable, and if we cant buy more, someday you'll wish you had bought them when you could.  If no ban passes, you just keep them for a rainy day, or easily sell them.  That's why its important to not overpay for them.

  19. If you have a smartphone download photobucket app. If not send a pic message but instead of putting in a phone number, put in your email address. The pics will show up in your email and then you can upload from your computer.
  20. only one error that I can find.  I don't believe Walmart is restricting any sales of AR-15s, just sold out.
  21. I do understand some 5.56 ammo cost $.75 or more per round, but taking $.30 ammo and charging double or triple the cost is ridiculous.
  22. That's the same 420 rds on stripper clips Walmart sells for $159. Sure it's sold out but I'm not paying $500 just to get it. I think they $.75/per and up round people are asking in the classifieds section on here is disgraceful.
  23. Haha it seems me and 10-ring agree :)
  24. Just spent 4 days in Asheville. It's the most granola eatin hippy-fest I've ever seen. Beautiful scenery, but I couldn't stand to live there.
  25. Auditory exclusion is just your minds perception of the sound. Actual hearing loss can still occur. Is it a concern enough to not shoot an intruder? Hell no!!! I'd go deaf to protect my family, without a doubt. But I do thing making considerations for self concision are important. Like shooting a short barrel 5.56 in your hallway could render you disoriented from the blast. I wouldn't go as far as shooting a .22. Pistol Calibers and shotguns should be safe assuming its not continuous fire. Side note: I was given a .41mag by my father. Itching to shoot it and not having all the proper gear, I just went out in the woods and fired a round. The blast gave me and instant pounding headache and nausea. I emptied the other 5 rounds I had loaded and went home. Took me several hours and ibuprofen to fell 100% again
