  1. Thanks Lester great advice. I would install a junction box and just fish the wire in the drywall as its uninsulated, and just forms the under-stair closet.
  2. Thanks bkelm. I just want to avoid putting it on the kitchen breaker, pretty much. And I can do an on/off test with that meter and the breakers. I'll stop buy and pick one up. Thanks
  3. So I'm looking to add an electrical outlet in my basement/garage. There are only two there now. The ceiling is unfinished as are the walls with the exception of the area underneath the stairway. This is the area I want to add the outlet. Running across the joist above are 3, 12-2 Romex cables. My thought was splicing a junction into one of the cables and dropping the outlet from that. I don't see a need to run a new cable from the breaker. So two questions 1) Is this a bad idea? 2) Is there a way to test the cable for juice while uncut? I'd like to pick one with less load as to not overload the breaker, but with several wires I don't know which run to which breaker. Wall Cable
  4. I wouldn't pay more than $500 with or without porting. That's just me though. I wouldn't value the porting very much.
  5. For the stainless I'd say $450-$500 Less for the non-stainless version
  6. I love Freddie, he looks like he just sailed in from a beach island somewhere and decided to play a round of golf.
  7. Thanks Jeff, I would expect nothing less from you
  8. I usually stop in once or twice...... An hour
  9. It's like .45, some have small primers but most are large.
  10. Gen 3 G23 FDE $499 Specialty Arms Gen 4 $559
  11. I'll be there around 9-9:30
  12. When are you going Jeff?
  13. Anyone know a good source? I just bought my first 10mm chambered gun this week. I have .40 dies and large pistol primers all I need is some brass and bullets.
  14. Springfield TRP 5", and an LCP in the pocket from time to time. I just purchased a Glock20 10mm that will be used as soon as I get an adaquate holster
  15. maybe this is why they are behind. They've been churning out FDE frames
  16. I've heard good things about Penn Bullets, although they may not be the cheapest. Thy do have interesting write ups for each caliber and bullet. http://www.pennbullets.com/calibers.html
  17. Come on Mike, we're on the verge of changing each others minds. Don't give up now.
  18. I have used Fischer Tire with good success. They don't have wholesale prices but I feel they are in par. They deal in Michelin/BF Goodrich and Goodyear mainly but can get others. If you can afford the Michelins you probably won't find a better tire that will last longer. Especially in a highway tread. I don't buy them because I need an all-terrain tread, but for the grocery getter, they'd be hard to beat.
  19. Since this thread has digressed slightly... I just bought a 10mm G20 as my new woods (work, forester) gun. I usually carry in a drop leg holster and wanted something powerful and higher capacity than the 1911 I have been carrying. Plus I don't hike on trails at work so my gun sees a lot of abuse, and I didn't want my high priced 1911 to see too much unneeded abuse I think 10mm glock is a good blending off both worlds.
  20. Walmart should carry it almost everywhere this time of year. Has orange can and blue lid.
  21. I can't count how many times I've found them there. They will head towards your armpits, waistline, and gonads. I've found ticks 2 days after being in the woods. It pays to check thoroughly.
  22. Haha, if it were between keeping my wife happy and killing the snake....odds aren't good for the snake.
  23. Permethrin is the stuff you need. Then apply OFF to your skin. I cannot say it enough. DO NOT SPRAY PERMETHRIN ON YOUR SKIN!!! I know guys that apply it to clothes while they are wearing them, and I strongly recommend not doing that either. This stuff is carcinogenic. Remember permethrin won't kill the ticks it just repels them, so I would suggest Deep Woods OFF 40% Deet applied to the skin. They make higher percentages of Deet but it's been proven that over 40% you see diminishing returns and higher health risks. As a side note be aware of diseases ticks transmit. Lyme, Rocky Mtn Spotted Fever, amoung others. If your not aware of the warning signs. Google it, it could mean the difference between proper diagnosis and death!
  24. Rat Snake. And as their name implies, yes they eat rats/mice and other small rodents. They are fast too, as you might imagine, in order to catch those rodents
