  1. Official purposes? I will say it again, "I officially don't want my ass robbed"!
  2. Could it be the Operator is a little loose?
  3. That would be my fear. If no one liked your pattern it might be hard to sell. There is a G22 at Dave's Pawn in Crossville that has been on the shelf for 3 years at least. it's camo also.
  4. hmm, new to me. I was under the same assumption as you. I often leave my gun in the truck when I have to venture indoors. I'm sure someone more qualified will chime in. paging Fallguy or Oh Shoot!!
  5. Here I am not really disagreeing but offering my 2 cents I carry a full size 1911 every day. I love the feel of the gun, the way it draws, the accuracy. however I sacrifice, number of rounds, and adds significant weight. That's just a choice. If it were me I wouldn't get rid of the Glock in favor of the 1911. I would just save the money, and have both. Then through shooting and carrying decide which you like better. and if selling one is warranted after that, so be it. of course that requires being able to extend $500 for a month or so while deciding. Its your money though, so that's a choice you have to make.
  6. Bullets hitting houses is a whole different story. But still that seems like an LE problem not a zoning problem. It's already illegal to shoot at someone's house, "reckless endangerment".
  7. exactly. The poor children, how will they survive with bullets grazing their hairline.
  8. Offered By Roane County Sheriffs Office. I posted this in another thread but thought some might not see it there. Location: Kingston Tn Contact: Beth 865-717-4748 Requirements: gun, 6 shot minimum eye/ear protection holster 50 rounds ammo sack lunch classes are on Saturdays from 7-3:30. Shooting is at an outdoor range so weather may play a factor. Space is limited. I did not personally take this course, but a co-worker did and she said it was very well done. If anyone calls and finds any of this info to be incorrect, let me know and I will edit.
  9. Good God Almighty. That is so asinine. Your grandchildren will sleep through it I'm sure. Seems to be grasping at straws because he doesn't like the noise. Now I understand, and myself out of respect for neighbors wouldn't shoot that late in the evening. But we certainly don't need acreage requirements for shooting outside city limits. At that point where would it end, before long you wouldn't be able to shoot anywhere but designated areas.
  10. Places your finger near the trigger. On quick draw you finger can slide from retention button right to the trigger causing discharge. I have one for my 5" 1911, and don't really worry about it but I have taken not of the issues. They can also get dirt in them and seize the retention making one unable to draw the weapon.
  11. I have fallen victim to the slide stop early on in my 1911 shooting. I have since corrected that issue. It is crucial to know how many rounds are on your recoil springs and such as they can cause problems when they get fatigued. Good info thanks for sharing.
  12. Were there failures in the 1911s? Or was it more of a function of reloads or such. Just curious
  13. Where are you located. (tapatalk won't let me see) Edit: I see now. If you are I'm East Tn jut holler I can let you shoot my LCP. Smyrna is a bit far though
  14. If there is a safe your interested in. I'd do some research. There seems to be some widely varying opinions among the experts here. I'm not sure who to trust
  15. It's just a sleeping puppy....what are y'all talkin about?
  16. I missed where he got banned. I hated his avatar as much as his posts
  17. Haha, thank you. I'm just sad I don't get a chance to redeem(or further embarrass) myself with y'all.
  18. That's uncalled for Plus unfortunately my boss is sending me to Florida on Wednesday for 11 days. So it looks like I won't be there. I'm sure y'all can manage without me.
  19. A green fuzzy jacket, and a gold plated DE
  20. 2 Vendors here Safes - is located in Alabama av88tor - "The Safe House" is in Nashville. I think either or both would be worth a visit
  21. Sounds great. I plan to stop by when I get a chance in the next couple weeks. BUT what did you buy, you tease
  22. Exactly my feelings ^^^. Let the man enjoy his purchase.
  23. At first I was floored to even think this could happen. But then found out it was CANADA. where owning a weapon is illegal I guess. This is just a picture of where we are headed
  24. I'm not sure who would have one here but I love my TRP. However if you buy the Sig I can't imagine you'd be disappointed. It's a great gun. I don't like the external extractor either but that's purely cosmetic.
