I would be leery of doing anything to an animal on federal land or even a state park. Just notify the park ranger and let them make the call so you have no issues.

I need honest opinion related to HCP Class
Pain103 replied to MrsMonkeyMan2500's topic in Women's Perspectives
You should be fine. If you are concerned about possibly being the only woman I know some places offer women only classes and even have female instructors. Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. No need to be worried it should be informative and fun. -
Possibly moving to TN, need some advice on laws
Pain103 replied to MrJones79's topic in General Chat
In Tennessee we have a Handgun Carry Permit. This allows you to carry any pistol loaded on your person, open carry or concealed. You can carry a loaded firearm in your personally owned vehicle in the state as long as you not prohibited by law from possessing it. When you move down here go ahead get the process started to get your HCP and get your license swapped over too. Good luck on your journey. Oh yea stock up on some mags never have enough of those. -
Proof that Concealed Carry permit holders live in a dream world

That's from 2009. 20/20 were trying to push their view. -
The best I could understand of the wildlife laws it probably could be considered destroying an animal but it is TWRA's function to put down injured deer. With their limited numbers and locations many years ago I believe they had asked the local departments to just handle it. I've never seen anybody given any problems for putting a deer down humanely. It will save me paperwork and having to locate my spent casing to to file with the paperwork like I just shot a human. It is what it is and deer and other animals have to be put down. I don't even hunt but I bet over the past 5 years I've killed just as many as some hunters due to crashes and one coyote. The coyote was actually a funny story because people were petting it thinking it was a dog.

By weeding through some links the statement seems to say it was four swat team members not the actual swat team. This wouldn't be unheard of as most departments don't have and can't justify a full time swat team. They were probably patrol officers that are also on the swat team. They arrive and finish it up maybe?

Alarms are fine but make sure there is an audible alarm that goes off when it is tripped. I tell you one thing I have seen many people overlook that is locking the door from the garage to the house. I've seen a few burglaries where entry was made that way. Most are back doors forced open. If you have a door that isn't able to be seen from the road reinforce it.

Doesn't really matter who did the deed as long as the threat was neutralized.

That's got to be the world record for groin references in a post. It made me laugh.

Just like any other politician they get that easy money and milk us for all they can. But double dipping doesn't even come close to the charge of filiing a false report. As far as the fraud I'm sure it would take TBI and the comptroller's office to investigate those. I've seen the comptroller's office go through some governmental books and accounts like a shark if there is something wrong in the money they can find it and forward to the appropriate DA to consider if they would present the case for indictment.

Yea, I want an entire stock with a pistol grip not just the pistol grip in place of a stock. Any ones you know of like that won't pass muster?
-
Any suggestions or feedback? I'm thinking about throwing on a pistol grip stock on a remington 870 and wanted to see if anybody had any good or bad experiences with certain brands. I'm also looking at intalling the single point sling attachment if anybody has any luck with that also.

Woman Stabbed to Death on Knoxville Greenway
Pain103 replied to Oh Shoot's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
A knife attack takes some serious mental determination. Hopefully the guilty person gets a free ride on sparky courtesy of TDOC. -
I figured they were going to charge somebody. I'll be interested to see the trial and the evidence along with the actual wording of the statutes they charged the officers with. I'm inclined to believe they overcharged but until the evidence is released who knows. But I tell you this with three of the officers being black the race baiters can go suck on an egg.

I could imagine the words mumbled when they rolled up and saw it lol. That's a big son of gun.

Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?

I have never heard anything bad about tacomas and wouldn't mind one myself. But they are sure proud of those trucks with the price tags they carry.

This, I did the same thing. Next day or so I'll spray the interior to finish them off.

Knox County Homeowner Shoots Intruder
Pain103 replied to McGarrett's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Unfortunately it is public record. But most news stations have scanners and monitor the calls and response then send camera crews. I know the night guys in the nashville area are always roving around with their cameras to anything they hear on the radio to see if they can use it. -
If I recall correctly she is a corrections officer at a Sheriff's Office possibly going to patrol soon.
-
Lol always somebody who gets intrigued and locks themself in handcuffs. I tend not to mess with mine much unless I have to use them they have been around some blood and other nasty ingredients. Oh yea let her know to disinfect them from time to time and RemOil works great on the hinge for cleaning and lubricating.

I agree. I carry a regular rifle and have no need for more than semiautomatic. I would love some personal toys with shorter barrels and that shoot many rounds in a single trigger pull but have no need for it at work.
-
I could get behind that with the only possible exception I can think of is shotgun barrel length. Try snatching a 18.5" barreled 870 out of a rack inside a vehicle. The 14" or 16" barrel helps. But I don't say we have to have it but dang it can get snagged up in a pinch. I say do away with the NFA. Just because a a gun shoots more than one bullet in a squeeze of the trigger or has a shorter barrel doesn't make it any deadlier.
