You gotta give us a report on the Battle Comp. I was looking at those again today. Looks like the best compensator out there. My next tweak after I recover from my $900 sling purchase EDIT: Aw hell. I guess we can both give a report now. Battlecomp is out of stock on the 1.0, but they have them at BCM. My girfriend is gonna shoot me.

Well, here it is... my $950 sling. Classic example of advanced AR sickness. As I said earlier, I decided on a Vickers sling and QD attachments. So, I needed to replace the MOE stock with a CTR. The other end of the sling turned out to be much more expensive. I decided on a Gear Sector rail mount attachment point for the front, to be attached to the forward end of the rails. That's when the trouble started. I didn't want the sling impacting the point of aim, so I decided to replace the 2 piece rails with a Daniel Defense Omega free float system (cool stuff). Since that system provides a continuous top rail, the rifle would now support the big Eotech with AA batteries. I have AA's stored in the grip, and I didn't want to waste them . Add a couple of new rail covers, and I'm done. Sorry for the crappy pics. They don't do it justice.

I like the MOE handguard, but do yourself a favor and consider the Daniel Defense Omega handguard. It's pricey, but will allow you to free float the barrel without any modifications. So, it's an accuracy tweak as well as a handguard upgrade. I just put one on my carbine. Awesome part. I love the Eotech. The good thing about the AR platform is that you can get into it for a reasonable price, and have something pretty good from the start. Then doll it up one piece at a time.

I was careful to say it wouldn't effect ME. Some folks may depend on these kinda weapons. To me, if you take a rifle, and lop off the stock and barrel, it doesn't remove all the rifle attributes. Still looks like a rifle to me, especially if to can turn it into an SBR in 15 minutes with a $50 stock kit. I'm not for changing the loophole, but it is what it is.
