  1. Trigger jobs improve accuracy, which minimizes stray bullets. I have the Apex tactical parts in my M&P. One of their videos demonstrates that their ugrade eliminates pulling off target when you squeeze the trigger. It can be spun both ways.
  2. You may change your mind when you get your hands on one. Looks like it could have a real good feel, maybe even CZ good.
  3. This is close enough! You're gonna have to verify it with your gun and ammo
  4. I think you may have missed your calling as a motivational speaker
  5. The whole thing is kinda like hunting rattlesnakes with a spork. I was real fortunate that I was able to go back and get the best one of the bunch. It wasn't an ex wife either. To me, character is THE most important thing, even though Little Mike never thought so. He always had two votes to my one, so it's been a bumpy road.
  6. You noticed that too.
  7. Thanks. I had help
  8. There's a trick with that monopod in case you miss it in the web. Try keeping your left hand on the monopod all the way thru the shot. It works for me.
  9. Natural selection is a good thing.
  10. Yep, there seems to be a consensus, even tho some folks like a single point. I settled on a 2 point with QD attachments. Kinda pricey because of the stock change.
  11. It's a repost. Most also believe it's doctored video.
  12. Yes. There's a cover that slips off.
  13. Here's what's on the way... Vicker's sling: Vickers Combat Applications Sling QD Swivels: Push Button Sling Swivel - Blue Force Gear Store Rail Mount QD socket: Gear Sector | Rail Mount QD Socket Black ...and the CTR.
  14. Accu-Shot - Magpul PRS - Precision Rail Mount Monopod (PRM) Model BT12-QK. Might as well by it directly from Accu-shot if they have it in stock. I haven't seen it discounted anywhere.
  15. Here's what I would do with a Mini for the white box load. These are for a BC of .255, with muzzle velocities of 3240, 3140, and 3040. Set the sights to shoot 1 1/4" high at 100 yards (175 yd zero). That will keep you within 1 1/2" of you point of aim out to 200 yards. Note that it kinda goes to hell past 200, but you can tweak that for your own uses. As you push past 175 yards, your error in point of aim will increase.
  16. That bullet has a BC that is significantly lower than a boat tail, so the 34m zero wouldn't hold true even with an AR. Also note that published velocities are (usually) for a 24 inch barrel, so your real muzzle velocity is going to be less. The accuracy of your Mini can be a factor too. Depending on the gun, it could have pretty huge groups at 300 yards even with a good zero. What size groups does it shoot at 100 yards off a good rest? Gimme a few and I'll do a little work on it. For now, this is a useful tool... Winchester Ammunition - Ballistics Calculator
  17. More... Note from the last post that the 34 meter zero IS true for an AR using a bullet with a decent ballistic cooefficient. With all other things equal, the Mini is going to be up about 1 1/2" at 34m.
  18. Short answer is no. The iron sights on an AR are 2 1/2" above the bore. The sights on the Mini are an inch above the bore. Ballistic coefficients also vary, which also comes into play. Here's a pic. Both are a Federal 55 gr boat tail zeroed at 300m. One is from an AR with the bore 2 1/2 inches below the sight plane, and the other is 1 inch. What kind of ammo do you normally shoot? It's going to make a difference.
  19. They look like different animals to me. The P3AT and LCP are almost identical internally. It's hard to make that judgement without seeing an eploded diagram of both, or taking them apart.
  20. That was my original thought. They're jumping in Kel-tec's wallet again. The LCP was certainly a big success. Why not go for round 2?
  21. I'm thinkin' they already know better.
  22. Quick tally... roughly and inch taller, and an inch longer than the LCP. Weighs almost twice as much (probably a good thing).
  23. I think the Magpul sling concept is great as an answer to the 2 point/3 point debate. But, when you have real operators complaining about the hands on quality of the product, I'm inclined to give up the single point option for much higher quality. I'm not going to run my rifle the way Kegger runs his. Runnin' and gunnin' is more like wheezin' and stumblin' for an old fart like me. FWIW, I keep up with him just fine when we're doing 12 oz. curls
  24. Well, I just ordered the CTR stock. Should have done that to begin with, and almost did.
  25. I know. That's why it was sitting in my Midway wish list.
