  1. Geez AR. This has nothing to do with Obama other than him allowing the TSA to continue their BS. The TSA has new, invasive toys, but are doing the same things in the same ways that they always have.
  2. Didn't think about that, but yes, a power company has all the right of ways, and minimum spacing isn't a big issue with fiber. It will still be interesting to see how much of the area they actually build out, and how long it takes.
  3. You can probably blame 95% of the liberal lawmakers for having a hand in that stupidity, but they didn't get it done all by themselves. If all the liberals in government died tomorrow, some things would still suck. The TSA is one of them. The terrorists don't have to blow anything up, because our government is Stoopid.
  4. Getting from point a to point b... probably not a big deal. Plowing in to every house in a city is a whole nother animal. I'm not sure you could afford to build the existing infrastructures from scratch these days, even with the right-of-ways in place. Cable systems have been dealing with population spread for years. They won't extend backbone until they have enough subscribers to offset costs. In most cases, the right of way is available, but you have the ugly return on Investment in the way. Once you build the billion dollar infrastucture (after 10 or 15 years of pure hell and overruns), how are you going to lure customers from Telco and cable? Lower price? Their stuff is already paid for.
  5. I'll vouch for the Mini too, but you won't be using AR mags. Mags for the mini are pricey if you stick with the Rugers.
  6. The TSA has been used to extremes since they got their little badges.
  7. If zombies weren't plumb stupid, they would avoid us
  8. I was ready for it last night. Pissed the girlfriend off tho'. She had this vision of decorating the tree. Should have known better when she tripped over the rifles and range bag when she walked in the door
  9. Yep.
  10. Google earth? Should be able to find all you want, and it's easy to locate them on a map.
  11. Liberals created the TSA? Those bastards
  12. I'll let you guys continue to argue the politics, but there's one thing you have to keep in mind. With today's technology, true broadband is delivered by wire. Ownership has been redistributed, but there are only two infrastructures. Those two, phone and cable, are operating on right-of-ways that have been there for decades. Stated simply, the poles are full in most locations, so a third infrastructure won't happen. Technology marches on, but there are serious bandwidth limitations with wireless. It will get better, but they will always have to fight the physics of wireless delivery. Most bandwidth increases take a lot of time (usually years), and sooner or later, they're gonna run out of spectrum. Wireless requires towers and antennas, which amounts to a lot of engineering, and a lot of zoning hassles. Very costly, and the bandwidth is limited by allocated spectrum. There are a lot of ways to get to the Internet, but there are only two real good ones.
  13. I watched that movie last night. It had a bunch of the old guys, about 500 dead bodies, thousands of rounds of full auto, and an auto shotgun with flying body parts. Needless to say, they blew everything up too. A solid 10 on the movie violence meter.
  14. You're tougher than that. You survived being shot in the noggin
  15. I don't think you can find anybody with negative comments about White Oak. As of a few weeks ago, they were 8 weeks out on their varmint upper.
  16. Yep... I think Little AR may be helping you cast your vote. She missed the caribou 5 times. End of story.
  17. Nice! I love the PRS stock. Added one of these to mine...
  18. If I had a suitable 20, I probably wouldn't replace it either. With that said, i want as many little lead balls as I can get without breaking my shoulder.
  19. OK, I'm confused. Nothing wrong with a 20, but how would it be superior to a 12 in any way?
  20. I'm left handed, but (fortunately) shoot right handed. All my pistols favor right handed shooters. My M&P will let you flip the mag release over, but I don't think it has any other ambi features. Something to watch as you're looking for one.
  21. Auto-cuss feature huh? I could probably use that in my email client
  22. I really think I'm done with both of them. Won't know about the last one until I hit the level of accuracy I want. That's the thing with AR's though... if you want to change something, it's easily done. The biggest problem is that the part you pull off can sprout into a whole new AR. Like TGO David said, they multiply like rabbits.
  23. I've said that before. I wish you the best of luck. I was done with mine a couple of times, and the next thing I knew, I had a second rifle. The second rifle was also finished 3 times before it was really finished. Nice job BTW.
  24. While you're at it, this is on my short list for my long range rifle... Also BCM BCM Bolt Carrier Group MPI Auto M16
  25. Lester, There is no significant support for it. Can be easily squashed by the Broadcast lobby alone. Ain't gonna happen. EDIT: There are nuts out there that want to ban all guns too. That's ain't gonna happen either.
