I'm probably biased because almost all my scopes are 3-9, and most are Leupold. you can get a rifleman 3-9x40 for 180 bucks here... Leupold Rifleman QDManager 3-9x40mm Riflescope I know, you said... Point is, the .243 has some serious reach-out, and you may need higher maginification at times, especially with small critters. Pretty easy to turn it into a 4x fixed. I have a 3-9x40 Rifleman, and it's a good scope for the money. As for my .243, I have a 4-12 AO on it.

I've shot one 44 special in my life, many moons ago. It was a Charter snubby. As I recall, it shot softer than my K frame .357, but it could have just been the beer.

I'm a big Midway fan, but lately, I've found better pricing on certain items elsewhere. Sometimes the difference is significant. I'll always buy from them, just gonna watch the pricing a little closer.

I think the argument is simple, if you have to make it. I shoot my gun all the time at the range. I carry it as well, but anything I have done to it was to improve my shooting experience at the range. In my case, it's the truth.

I have a Ruger LCP. Also have a J frame. The LCP works with a lot smaller pockets.

Not exactly. When I lived in Kentucky, you could open carry, but concealed carry wasn't legal without a permit. I think it's still that way.
