Nobody has been a jerk to me, but I've bumped into a couple that didn't know what they were talking about. Again, I normally know what I'm looking for when I walk in. I buy my handguns elsewhere.

Spoolie, I think it's a mall thing. I carried in there a couple of weeks ago, and I always look for signs. I always use the front entrance.

I have bought a few long guns and a bunch of scopes there, but always did my research before I went in. Some of the guys are shooters, and some know very little.

I agree. No matter how you feel about Obama, he knows that gun control is not smart politics. I bought a bunch of guns last year to help drive up the sales numbers. 14 million guns was a statement. The ammo shortage was a statement. I think he'll sty away from it, and stick with the stuff he has a chance of winning.

The first generation S&W autos (like the one in my avatar) can go off if you drop them. One of the main resons they designed the second generation. It's 30 years old, but still works real well. I've never dropped mine, but they had some incidents with LEO's when it was the current generation. There's no firing pin blocker. It has a half cock.

Sure, if there was a price advantage. There really was a shortage, so I can't fault anybody for stocking up. If you're talking about opportunists, the current market prices will take care of them.

That's what I was getting at. If the law didn't exist, it would be easier for an attorney to take the case on a percentage of the winnings, and the poor shooter would have to pony up cash for the defense.

I'm thinking practically, but not exactly in that way. They need a lawer too, and one may be less likely to do this kind of suit in typical ambulance chaser fashion. Going to be interesting to watch. The law was written for a reason, and one would think that it will most likely have the desired effect in a lot of cases.

It also says that the court will award all the costs to you (the shooter), so at least the stakes will be a lot higher for a person that sues. if they lose, they gotta pay for the whole shebang.

It's a really old video. Looks like North St. Louis, so a little gunfire wouldn't be considered unnusual. Neither would a dead crackhead. One of my cousins was a cop in that neighborhood for years.
