  1. If your LCP jams, you may need to polish the feed ramp and chamber. Had to do it to mine to get it to feed reliably while racking the slide. The cartridge cases were hanging on the top of the chamber because of some fairly rough tooling marks. Won't void the warranty if done properly. I'm sure a long breakin would have accomplished the same thing.

    What are these?

The 336 was introduced in 1948, and they have sold a gazillion of them.
  3. Sorta looks like my couch last night. Don't have a chrome one, but my 1911 kinda looks chrome
  4. I have an Iphone too, but wouldn't try to do any serious admin work with it. My vote would be for a $500 HP laptop with a clearwire connection (or iPhone as a modem).
  5. If I had to bet my money, it's more about coordinating response to natural disasters and terrorist attacks. The devil is in the details. If he was trying to establish a dictatorship (like some of the media entertainers suggest), he wouldn't be so careful to make sure that the members are equally divided between Repubs and Democrats.
  6. The P01 has a decocker, and no safety. It's an alloy frame. I'm REALLY going to like it
  7. Just picked up my new sissy gun from Specialty Arms. CZ 75 Compact P01. I challenged the guy to sell me something else, and he didn't even try.
  8. kelemvor, Got a couple of good service pistols. Think I'll call around and see if there are any compacts on the shelf.
  9. Krull, The .40 S&W whipped the FBI's tail. :-) I can shoot my big 9's all day. Want something smaller that I like to shoot. Some extra weight doesn't bother me, because most of my carry will be the two pocket guns.
  10. Empty chamber, but I'm changing that after reading this thread. The lady in my security system tells me when a door opens, and which one, so there's time to chamber the gun. With that said, I'm thinkin' no warning is the best policy. Did y'all just hear that "clack clack"?
  11. Looking for a compact 9mm. I prefer a metal frame and DA/SA with decocker. Can anybody share their experiences with the CZ compact and sub-compact 9's? Already have light, small, and kicks like a mule covered with my 637 and LCP. Trying to add a little more quality to the statment "this is gonna hurt you more than it does me".
  12. Left or Right leaning, journalism is in the toilet these days. Cronkite is gone, and was replaced by Pee Wee Herman

    ARvsAK

I will probably go for both, but the AR will be first. I hear thru the grapevine that AR's are coming down, and that's what i'm waiting for. friend of mine saw a Bushmaster M4 at Academy in Nashville a couple of weeks ago for significantly under $1k.
  14. The way I read it, it's about tax exemption for Interpol... Executive Order 13524 - Wikisource Public Law 79-291 - Wikisource. maybe I read it wrong.
  15. BTW... Specialty arms had both last time I was there. Good place to get both of them in your hands if you haven't already
  16. Here's a Randy Wakeman review on the Chuck hawks site. Ruger LCR I have handled the LCR and dry fired it (with permission). It feels good.
  17. I have a 700 long action in .270. Don't have any recommendation on chambering, but get the Jewell trigger. Best trigger I have on any of my rifles. Came factory set at 1lb., no creep, and no overtravel. May have to Dremel the inside of the stock some to make room for the safety mechanism.
  18. Funny stuff. Hope the crease heals
  19. That was fast. Now off to renew my NRA membership. Another bunch that really deserves my money.
  20. This is a great site. I'm new, but signing up for benefactor status now. I appreciate David's good work
  21. Can't go wrong with either one, so it's what you like best. I own a 637, and have played with the LCR. I like external hammers, which is one of the reasons I bought the 637.
  22. How do they go about disarming us if they get their way? "I would gladly give you my guns officer, but I misplaced them. I'll call if they turn up."
  23. I have a 637 and it kicks like a mule. I bought it because my favorite small revolver of all time was a Model 36 that I sold 20+ years ago (and have regretted it ever since). I shot it last summer with sweaty hands, and the Uncle Mike's grips were slick enough to make it difficult to control. Swapped the grips to the 36 style wood ones, but haven't had a chance to shoot it since. They feel a lot better. The S&W site says they're making the 36 again. Quite a bit more expensive than the 637.
