.22 shortage, according to Win. rep
White Goodman replied to 221 Fireball's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
It's beyond frustrating at this point. I've sort of hit it off with one of the clerks at Wal-Mart and he was telling me the last shipment that had .22's on board was over 50 bricks of the 550 count Federal. Do you want to know how long it lasted? 5 minutes. :surrender: Like I said, if .22lr ever becomes readily available again you'll see me on an episode of Hoarders. -
Florida is the worst. Half my coworkers are transplants from NY, NJ, CT and OH.

If S&W would just fix the horrid trigger. I will say that the XDm Compact 45 really impresses me. I got my hands on one a few months back and it really surprised me.

Ninth Circuit strikes down CA "May Issue"!
White Goodman replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This is huge for the people of CA. I just told my GF about it, she was born on a military base in CA so I pick on CA a lot just to bug her. After hearing this news she quoted Dumb and Dumber "so you're saying there's a chance!" -
Mom says they got around 6" off Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville. Pretty unheard of for the valley. My step-dad drivers for UPS and got stranded in Roanoke VA yesterday.

Maybe the picture doesn't show enough of the parking lot to the left but I don't see your old boat over there. Did you finally get rid of it?

But they do ship to FL.

I can honestly say this is one of the top 3 worst episodes in show's history. I kept track, the amount of commercial time was almost equal to show time. Commercial breaks were 4 minutes long with 6 minutes of actual show before the next round.

I still don't see how you draw the pistol with the spare magazine blocking the grip like that. It would make more sense to carry the spare mag on your weak-side. You would have to move the gun to your weak hand to draw the spare magazine.

NYSAFE Anti-gun activist busted for carrying a gun into school
White Goodman replied to R_Bert's topic in General Chat
Look at the 4th comment down... I actually agree with him for once. -
I have the 23 still but I've just fallen out of love with the caliber. The price gap between .40 and .45 has really closed and I don't care for the "snappy" recoil. I honestly think the G21 is more enjoyable to shoot and it's a bigger boolit. I'd like to consolidate to 9mm and .45.

AR's mandatory in Israeli college dorms
White Goodman replied to Dustbuster's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
First- that's interesting. Were they loaded? B-did you mean you don't get all your info from gun stores? -
And you would be an idiot to pass up the free shipping with the purchase of another magazine for $20. $320 shipped to your FFL for a Glock 22 with 2 magazines. I really wish I didn't dislike the .40 so much.

Oregon Senate Antigunners' Worst Headache
White Goodman replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That was great. Good for him, it takes balls to get up there and say that. -
That is a fantastic deal for anyone who wants a pistol to stash in a vehicle or give to a friend. I bought my brother a gen 2 model 22 last year but I paid $400+tax.

Florida is looking awfully empty.... All we have is the crappy Bass Pro and Dicks. At Bass Pro you have to take a number just to talk to someone and the prices are hysterical. Our closest Academy is 3 hours north. Lots of missed revenue happening in Florida right now.

TX Grand Jury no-bills man who killed Deputy
White Goodman replied to Chucktshoes's topic in General Chat
These no knock warrants are out of control. We recently had a woman in Orlando get robbed when men knocked on her door and produced a badge. She let them in and was assaulted and robbed. I'm not a criminal so if someone kicks down by door without reason they may expect to be met with force. I'm sure it wouldn't end well for me either but what are we supposed to do this day and age? -
When it comes to roadside checkpoints do the laws vary by state? I've seen videos of people refusing to even give their name at these checkpoints and being allowed to pass through? I'd like to know my rights for the next time I encounter one of these. When I was in high school some friends of mind were riding around late at night. 3 of the guys were smoking pot(not my thing) and the driver and myself were both sober but there was a handle of vodka in the car as well. We came over a hill to see all of Lenoir City's finest manning a roadblock. That was the only time I was convinced I was going to jail. Either it was the worlds dumbest cop or his nose didn't work but we managed to pass through.

My thoughts exactly.

There is a huge misconception that Israel is extremely gun friendly. This view is extremely inaccurate as described here. http://www.thebangswitch.com/visiting-an-israeli-gun-shop/ -

I knew you were going to post this. I think you've used that probably a dozen times over the years. Still a classic line by Mel and sadly accurate.
