  1. Even without the extended expiration I was glad to buy one, but I see what you mean about being rushed and shipping costs.
  2. +1 for buy it online   I prefer to give my money to a LGS when possible, but often it's cheaper online even with shipping and I don't have to drive around to find one (gas is high, ain't it?).
  3.   Every agenda-fueled anti-gun mistake in reporting cost the newspaper/channel $100K donation to the NRA?
  4.   NICE!
  5. Walt is way to smart to call Skyler and say the things he said without knowing the cops were listening. He knew they were listening and said everything he did to get the heat off of her. He was careful to "remind" her of his previous threats to keep her mouth shut and warn her that if she doesn't keep quiet he'll kill her like he did Hank. That way the cops don't bust her as an accomplice. Even Marie will back off thinking she was going along under duress. ...BRILLIANT!!!
  6.   Funny you mention that...they mentioned it last night on Talking Bad. The actor that plays Hank was referring to the cult-like following that Walt has online. He was amazed at all the evil #### Walt has done, yet he still has fans that sympathize with him. Then he says something about this being the episode where Vince Gilligan says (I'm paraphrasing)...'oh, yeah! How about now? Do you hate him NOW?'      The way Todd volunteered all casually to torture the information out Jesse was creepy as hell, too. I guess it worked...Jesse looks totally broken. Probably due in part to Walt telling him he let that chick die as much as the beatings. Then he sees the photo of the other chick and the kid and he just looked empty.
  7. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with hoarding ammo or that anyone who does should feel guilty. I learned as much from the ants and grasshoppers story as anyone else. I have enough to make me feel comfortable right now too and I don't think there's anything wrong with it either.I'm only saying that like it or not, the scalpers aren't the only reason for the shortage and their buyers aren't going anywhere. Quite a few people just learned to be ants and started hoarding recently. Their new demand added to what the scalpers are scarfing up to turn a profit on are too much for suppliers to keep up with right now. The ones buying from the scalpers are probably shooting theirs up, so their demand is less likely to go away and the scalpers will continue to profit. In my neck of the woods, Walmart shelves are still bare thanks to the panic buying and scalpers. It's so bad that people who just want to shoot or replace what they shot up can't get their hands on any without sleeping in the parking lot or making 4 or 5 trips a week to Walmart to try and get lucky.
  8. This case makes me glad I'm white and glad I'm not 5'6" and 175#, LOL. That means I don't have to carry the little man syndrome chip on my shoulder or the race card around in my wallet.
  9. The ammo marketplace is fragile and this system has become corrupted by both greed and panic. The unscrupulous behavior by scalpers that many of us recognize or blame as being the start/cause of the shortage is NOT illegal, but it IS unethical. However, greed by resellers is no more responsible for the shortage than the hoarding mentality by many of us. Having an ample supply of ammo on hand sounds like common sense to most of us, but if we didn't hoard it, there'd also be more on shelves for immediate consumers. Buying it to hold onto, because we love shooting and don't want to get caught without, is not consumption. Hoarding ammo, because it's not perishable, is taking ammo off the shelves that immediate consumers can't buy. Many of us are unapologetically sitting on thousands of rounds of one or more caliber that cannot be consumed by the normal market. Add to that the fact that scalpers buy up all that we can't get OUR hands on and the problem becomes exponential. I hate resellers as much as the next guy, I'm just saying that at least scalper ammo is being consumed, not hoarded. The majority of buyers that are resorting to buying from scalpers will shoot it up soon after they buy it. We're blaming them for the scalpers having a market, but they are probably the purest members of the shooting community right now. They buy ammo, go out and shoot it and enjoy it more than I would. I suspect most of them were the type that bought their ammo at Walmart on the way to the shooting range before all this bovine scatology started. For the record, I'm as guilty of hoarding as anyone else. I have enough ammo and reloading components to most likely ride out this shortage. How long it MAY last is responsible for me shooting less, though. Like others have said, I replace what I shoot immediately to keep my stash intact. Nonetheless, I can't help but wonder how much my stash (added to the thousands of people who do the same thing I do) contributes to the problem. However, in my defense, every single round of ammo that I have in my little treasure chest that makes me feel secure came from FTF and online purchases. Not one single round was scarfed up at Walmart.
  10. comes to $12.63 per box I'm in for 100 rds LOL, just kidding

sounds like somebody wants your XD-S pretty bad...I'd take them up on the offer too, sounds like you'd come out on top to me
  12. +1 nobody on that SWAT team woke up that morning expecting to have to shoot a 107 yr old man I hate that it ended like that for both the family of the old man and the cops/their families. That's a crappy thing to have to do, but it appears they did everything they could to prevent it.
  13. watched it again...the black guys were acting pretty aggressively...I mean above and beyond how I'D act over being asked for ID for no good reason I DID see the guy who got pushed get right up in the cop's face a couple of times waving his arms in what could easily be construed as a threatening manner I don't know that it warrants the classic fight-starting chest push he got, but I know that if someone pushed me like that, my first reaction would probably be to keep them from doing it still, there's no doubt the lil cop wanted it to escalate, he was way too quick with the ensuing punches for that not to have been his intention But, I wasn't there, so I could easily be misreading the body language
  14. I couldn't agree more. I love the way things keep coming back around. Jesse's emotions have been changing a lot, but then again that's what the show's about...change. He's been through every emotion I can think of and each mood he's feeling overwhelms him. That's the weakness in his character...no control of ANY of his emotions.
  15. Even though the quote from post about was a year ago, I still like him. He knew exactly what mistakes he'd made during the cook that ruined the color and will get better, if he survives. If he'd spent as much time with Walt as Jesse did, I bet he'd be way better. Plus, he's not as fragile as Jesse. Still, I can see how someone might not like him. His character reminds me of his role on Friday Night Lights...geeky, shy, smart, etc.
  16. I'm definitely in for a lower, maybe 2. I'd also like to get an upper, if the price is right make that 2, as well.
  17. This whole scene reminds me of the movie "Colors" from back in the 80's. Young cop trying to create a reputation as a someone not be be messed with...old cop doesn't always corral his trainee, but tries to teach him the ropes. Maybe slapping the cops hands away was the wrong call when the cop tried to push him, but I'm still surprised the young cop didn't get fired.
  18. If I followed someone into a restaurant to confront them over something they did/didn't say to me in a parking lot and during the confrontation I pushed them, like that young cop did, I'd expect to be charged with battery.
  19. Life is really, really, really, really, really, really BAD for Otto nowadays.
  20. +1 MacGyver...thanks to the hard work....can't wait to hear the details.
  21. super funny idea...so jealous that I didn't think of it
  22. sure are impressive...but how do they shoot?
  23. I never thought Huell was a smart guy, but the DEA story doesn't even sound remotely plausible, yet he sang like a canary. I thought surely Saul would have prepared him for something similar. Even if not, he's gotta realize what kind of outfit he's working for and therefore know better than to say a word, if he got pinched. He's surely aware of what happened to Mike's guys in prison.   I've resigned myself to the fact that Walt is probably going to die or go to jail at the end of the series, but I'm still hoping that Skyler, Walt Jr, and Holly live happily ever after with all that money and the car wash. I don't see how that can happen, if Hank and/or Marie live, though. Either/both seem like they'd want to make sure justice is served, even at the expense of Skyler and the kids.
  24.   You gotta dream bigger, man. I asked for a complimentary XD-S 9.
  25. Regardless of how the shootout turns out...the way Jesse lured him out there was freakin' brilliant. I thought he'd smoked himself stupid by the beginning of the season. That was pretty smart...like something Heisenberg would come up with.
