  1. Reminds me of when a new kid moved to your school and all they did was tell you how good their old school was and how bad their new school is...not how you win friends.
  2. sorry I missed the fun
  3. The Mrs and I watched a documentary about Coca Cola on the History Channel. It was quite interesting. When the feds forced them to stop using cocaine, Coca Cola was cool w/ leaving it out since it added so little to the taste. Good ol Uncle Sam jumped in and said if they did they'd have to change their name. So, they hired a NJ company that imports coca leaves directly from Peru legally. The company sells the "spent" leaves to Coca Cola and sells the legally extracted cocaine to a pharmaceutical company for profit. Apparently this is all possible because the NJ company has some kind of exclusive sweetheart deal with the feds that lets them import the leaves.
  4. No shame in being older as long as you're also wiser, LOL. I'm not the least bit surprised at the stats so far, there's a reason us old farts are here instead of FB.
  5. No question that gun and that sight are capable of better accuracy than I have. I really LOVE the trigger on the P365 lineup.
  6. Sometimes a kid does good in school even if their parents don't get involved in their education, but I suspect it's rare. Most kids need their parents to step up if they're going to have a chance, but sadly, some parents only serve a biological role in their kids lives. I've heard from multiple reliable sources that school meals are the only meals some kids get. How many kids actually have a parent willing to turn off the TV long enough to read them a book? How many kids wear the same dirty clothes to school for days? I'm as guilty as anyone of complaining that the school system is trying to take control of our kids, but for a large number of households, it's the best thing for the kids unfortunately. My guess is these good intentions is where some of the woke agenda I oppose got its foothold. Security on the other hand is a lot more clear cut. We have to make our schools a harder target from these whacko shooters. I'm with a previous poster, cost doesn't matter, kids do.
  7. That Shadow2 sure is gorgeous. If I didn't already have 2 CZ custom pistols.... GLWS
  8. Precisely how I feel as well.
  9. My weekly email from Senator Blackburn says she Hagerty propose $900M to hire armed security at schools. SAFE School Act introduced
  10. I think they work 100X harder for our rights than the NRA does. They are also WAAAAAAY better stewards of the money they collect than the NRA too.
  11. I agree it's not reasonable to skew the statistics for child deaths by including adults.
  12. As you said, there is no magic pill. We have to keep doing what we have been doing, addressing this mess one case at a time. There were evil people doing evil things long before the shut down the mental hospitals and long before the woke agenda started our moral compass spinning out of control. We just have more evil and more crazy now than before. So, it probably looks like we're trying to put out a forest fire with a garden hose to the other side or worse, it looks like we're ignoring the problem and/or pretending there is no problem. In the meantime, a very large segment of our population thinks they have a magic bullet (gun control).
  13. I took my permit class with Jeff too. I also took a lot of other classes he offered over the years too. One of my favorites was a private class with@NoBanStan and some other fellas from work. It was great, the best part was when we got to practice seatbelt drills while shoot from a vehicle and exiting the vehicle to use it for cover. I would never have gotten to practice that anywhere else. I wish he still taught classes.
  14. I see what you mean. Their side wants to do something (even if we think it's wrong). Our other side only knows banning guns won't work, but we don't have a better answer, so we look like we don't want to do anything.
  15. Which speakers did that Sena have? HD? Standard? Is it mounted with the screw-on plate or adhesive?
  16. Yeah, no undercover FBI encouraging people to go inside.
  17. That's how I carry mine too.
  18. Prayers for their families.
  19. exactly!! ask 2 people's opinions and you'll get 3 answers
  20. I also have no clue what the rest of the world does with their crazies. However, looking at their gun policies, tax rates, socialist tendencies, and economic trends, I can't say I'd be willing to model anything after how they do things. I'm still curious too though.
  21. Not to discount any of those points, but we're devolving as a society. The more we resemble a Godless society that doesn't effectively deter crime, can't disagree without hate, and actively dismantles families by punishing the married poor and incentivizing single motherhood, the worse it's going to get.
  22. PM sent
  23. You do realize governors only sign laws and veto laws, right? Has he vetoed a bill that would arm school teachers that I'm not aware of? He's not the scapegoat for this school shooting. Furthermore, when did he publicly say that he is no longer for arming school teachers? The timing and accuracy of your claims are tacky and inappropriate in my opinion.
  24. I'm vehemently against red flag laws altogether because of due process. However, keeping crazies from buying guns is something I'm not so opposed to. I don't know the perfect formula for achieving that, but I hope it happens in a way that it could have prevented people like this nutjob from buying guns.
  25. I'm not opposed to a method for medical professionals to report patients they feel present a danger to themselves or others, but I am opposed depriving someone of due process as a result. If that report temporarily flags them for TICS that's less egregious until the flag is cleared, I'm fine with it. I'm not fine with showing up to take someone into custody and seizing their private property until they can prove themselves innocent.
