  1. Even if i hit the lottery,i am not sure if i would go wild with guns. My mentality is already to concentrate on acquiring only like firearms and common rounds. I am only interested in 12. .22, .223, .308, and .40. At the moment. All pretty available and allows me to load up on minimal types of ammo. I dont have the budget to buy every toy i see so i rather have several similar firearms for simplicity.
  2. I am way late to the party. I am netflixing season 1 and on to season 2. Should be a few episodes into this season by the time i catch up. I think i would be so good at surviving the zompocaclios
  3. All coke had to do is sing the song in english but with all the accents. It would have hit it out of the park but coke made it into a political point. I love coke, but i am done.
  4. Guys, you better hurry up and get you as much as you can because this round will be made illegal very quickly With that said, this round pretty much imo neutralizes the debate of 9mm vs .40/.45. Yeah it still will not pack the punch as the bigger round but being able to pack a few more rounds in and take someone down with 1 shot makes 9m loads very nice looking. Same with thr .380 load. My 6 round pea shooter got a little more nasty
  5. I was having a forum discussion on my college football board about this. Mississippi allows open carry for folks 21 and up. The discussion was, the person was asking should he just open carry or get a permit. I told him to get a permit. Mostly because open carry today just gets so many peoplz panties in a wad. Then came the "i own guns and i support the 2nd " people who said they just dont like fools running round like rednecks shooting up the place. When i hear that i get so pissd off. Yes, there are stupid people and yes there will be issues. But at the end of the day, when cars cause more deaths than guns, why do we have to discuss that a constitutional right can keep people from owning a gun but the same person could continue to drive a car? Cars cause more deaths and more people monetary loss than guns ever can, but the media's narrative paints gun owners as twitchy eyed lunatics just waiting for a reason to get liquored up so they can go on a shootin spreee. How is this any less bigoted than the news spraying headlines that so and so did such and such because they feared the black person was going to do something just cause he had a hoodie? Sick of it
  6. Almost every time i run into a posted sign, unless we are already committed to go to this place, i will turn around and leave. I then send the manager of the establishment a note that i either walked away or will not return.
  7. I have lived in the suburbs of Memphis (Collierville), and I have lived south of Nashville for the last 11 years (Franklin). I almost moved to Hendersonville because I wanted to be close to the water but wound up moving to Franklin because that's where I found a job. I would actually love to move to Chattanooga because I think it's so nice over there. But since I work in Franklin I would have to stay here but when I get retirement age I so want to move to the Dalehollow Tim's Ford or Center Hill area.
  8. If you people would just stop holding other people accountable for their destructive behavior, everything will just be fine. Otherwise,,, RACIST!
  9. I bought some buffalo trace rye mash for new years eve. It was pretty decent, little after bite but a nice hint of "popcorn". After a few small glasses, my friends at the shindig had a bright idea of chilling it and taking shots. After 3 shots with a vanilla vodka and cranberry chaser, i got professionally ignorant
  10. My unit is an 11 year old builder grade system. Have had moderately good performance overall. But i am going to check all the ducts for sure. Thanks
  11. We lost power last night for 3 hours. When power came back on at 2am the house had cooled down to the 50s. After 1 hour of non stop blowin, it was not blowin warm air. So i started a fire at 3am and within the next hour, the house was 64degrees
  12. Thanks guys! Lots of good info. My gas heat was blowin all night last night and when i went down stairs, the thermostat was reading 56 and was set at 63. Got so cold the gas could not keep up.
  13. Thats where i keep mine. 68 in the winter 72 in the summer.
  14. My dad made a manual log splitter, he called it "my son"
  15. Ok, so i am looking to build on some land i found but from the road to the property is about 200 yards away. Running gas to the house would be hella expensive so the builder recommended just using electric water heater and a heat pump. In the middle tennesee area, who amongst yall have or had a heat pump and what can you say about them? Thanks
  16. I have 2 girls, i think i am going to frame this picture and put it in the hallway of our front door where every young suitor who walks in the door knows without a shadow of a doubt, that the man that lives here is bat shat crazy. My child might still find a rebellious bug and i fully expect it. But the boys that know my child will know me and every waking moment they "think" about my child, they will see me in the background, wearing a butcher apron and a dead carcass of some variety being readied for the sausage maker. Sorry for the off topic discussion I was refreshing the thread for hours and praying with every new post. I just got a lump in my throat thinking about it again so i can only imagine your ordeal. Praying for your family and hoping there is positives to be found here, namely how much this young lady is loved by her friends and family.
  17. Yall are planting the seed of doubt. I will say that i found land that is in a 100% better location, just a little more expensive but is not able to subdivide. We are finding it hard to find land that does would support or the county would allow for 2 homes. I cant afford a huge portion of land and cant get the wife to sign off on going a little deeper into the county. But the other issue is if something happens, it would be hard to sell the property if needed after we split it up. This is going to be a long process
  18. Been married for 12 years, known the family for 16 years, have been neighbors for the last 5 years.
  19. Haha, yeah, my brother in law is a goofball but with him and his wife near us so my yuppified wife could feel better living out a bit is a price i am willing to pay.
  20. I am tired of living around people, ready to look for land and build a house. Looking to find land big enough for 2 houses cause my wife's brother wants in on this as well I live in franklin and looking at college grove, triune, arrington area. Anyone have any tip, places in the area that they recommend ? Tips for buiding? Thanks
  21. Here is the gun control policy that will cut gun crime down by 75% If you support obama, then you should have an open warrant for property searches. Seems like obama voters are the issue with gun violence
  22. The problem is the media has tried their damnedest to paint the tea party as one thing. An old evangelical political group who want their ideals impressed on everyone. At the core, the tea party is a huge friend to the libertarian party but a lot in the libertarian party are turned off with any group that might even smell one bit like they are religiously based. At the end of the day, i actually consider myself libertarian. But i identify with the tea party. The media wants to divide and conquer anything that is not left of center
  23. Fellow franklinite here. Own several firearms but dont get out to shoot as much as id like. Just keep it down range my friend and welcome aboard
  24. That is how you kick off eternal bliss my friend.
  25. I get so tired of talking to my liberal friends about obamacare. They only know what the emotionally driven narrative they have been fed a d now that rates are going up, and quality will start going down, they only know how to blame dr, insurance companies and hospitals because it obviously cant be their ideological wet dream of socialized hc.
