Vanderbilt Hospital layoffs today
1pointofview replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That is why we need an alternative to the insurance modal. Hospitals spend loads of money in places that need to be cut and cut where they need to spend. On the other hand, the float interest free loans in the form of "your portion of the bill" that folks haggle over and pay minimal payments on. Remove insurance as the primary form of payment and empower the people and make them in charge of the hc dollars and everyone will become more accountable -
Vanderbilt Hospital layoffs today
1pointofview replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If the cuts where due to the federal pocket book closing then it is what it is. The longer state a d federal money floats something while itself running deficits, the harder and wider the hammer will drop. Vandy has been there for us a few times but i have worked for healthcare companies for years and every hospital spends money in weird ways that could be avoided. I hope for the best for these folks, i have been in their shoes -

Lived in the burbs of memphis (collierville) for about 20 years. Loved it but more than likely you will have to drive into memphis for work. I live in franklin (south of nashville), been here 10 years. I love it even more. A few hours from anywhere in beautiful tn. Loads of lakes, loads of nature, loads of opportunity. Just depends on what you want to do , tn has it

When it hits the fan, the most prepaired person in the world could be caught by suprise and killed before all the prepping could even begin to be utilized. I prepare and i game plan but in the end, there is a greater more devine need for preparedness that look to. I have food, protection, etc but i will trust in God for direction and protection.

The thing is, media has built up a false mentality that all you right wing crackas are the minority and that the only thing keeping the "enlightned masses" from totally dismantling you and taking away everything you think are your freedoms.

This will be fun to watch. Christopher Lane Murder
1pointofview replied to Smith's topic in General Chat
Wonder if ole oprah will compare this murder to emmitt till? Or will she just keep her racist mouth shut and turn her eyes because it was not a white on black crime. My issue is 80% of race based crime is black against white. Yet we have a racial issue of white against black? -
This is exactly what happened. The higher ups come from finance and engineering and were put their to micromanage, not empower. 5 years later and they can not stop running around like a headless chicken when something goes wrong and while we are successful at spinning plates, they are running around worried that a plate might fall.

I just finished "diversity training" at my work and the guy who was doing the training let it slip how enraged he was after the trayvon verdict. Well spanky, where you outraged regarding stuff like this! -

If i had to pick a fav job it would be when i was a pm at hca. Great folks and a fun job i was doing at the time. I am now wondering if i want to do it anymore. Would love to move into a sales or marketing role. Actually i would love to be the newest member of the mountain men tv show
