Well, went down to florida on vacation and came back home with a boat. Was excited until they told me that i have to pay taxes on the sales price when i register it. As i understand, i can register it anywhere in tn but tax varies from one county to next. Where is the cheapest and least painful place to register? Thanks all

Nothing gets one more in tuned with common sense and respect for others than the fear of consequences. We have little fear of consequences in todays society -
Soooo, heading to the beach but i am torn on what to pack. Do i take the lcp for easier and more conceled carry or do i take my .40? Tired of spending $80 everytime the family goes out to dinner so we will eat more at the condo or will take out. I am leaning towards the .40 because i want 16 rounds instead of 6 but i could take the 6 rounds with me most anywhere i go, might have to leave the 16 in the car. Crap, what to do....... Might take both :)

pretty soon, the church will be forced to give up all it's beliefs that do not align with government demands.. All while the pro government slobs scream separation of church and state -
Do you really need to change your oil every 3,000 miles?
1pointofview replied to Volzfan's topic in General Chat
When i first started driving i had an 88 ford ranger. Maybe it was just me but my truck ran better after an oil change. I did my on maintanence and took pride in it. I now work for a car manufacturer and their lease car policy is to change every 7500 miles. Makes me cringe after 3000. Specially since i only drive about 3000 miles in a year. But it pretty much tells you what the car companies believe when u should change oil -

sorry if this has been posted, I did a search and did not see any posts about it. Anyway, was surprised a few weeks ago to see a new gun shop in the Franklin/Brentwood area. I stopped by a few weeks ago but hurt my back and really could not enjoy looking around. I went by again yesterday and was impressed how they were growing. Looks like they have most of their gun cabinets and such in now. Looks like they are going to have a good seleciton when it is built out. I will say I was impressed with their prices. I have my eye on a shotgun for the house and they had a few I really liked. Anyway, wanted to throw some advertisement out there for them because they seemed nice and had some good prices and was glad to see some competition in Franklin I was a little surprised that the old uselton's shop is still empty. The only place within 20+ miles with an indoor range and it was not snatched up? Yet we have 2 new gun shops in Franklin without a range? odd.

The Dishonest Gun-Control Debate
1pointofview replied to JR2ATN's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I just read the book freakonomics and reading superfreakonomics now. Plan on reading control as soon as i finish. I have heard some excerpts from the book control and look forward to getting it I will say in freakonomics, they had a few gun related stats. They pointed out how gun buy backs are stupid and a complete statistical waste of time. That the parent that will let their child go to suzy's house who has a pool, but will not let their kid go to johny's house because his parents have a gun in the house are 100x more likely to die of an accidental drowning than an accidental shooting. Suprisingly, they blame the media and emotion for skewing the narrative. Pointing out their tendencies of reporting on anything that will evoke emotion over what is rational. ThAt is why books like control are important because people need to know how to respond when co fronted with hyperbole anti gun arguments -

I have tried to learn to play for years. what has helped me is jamming with folks (who have patience). Youtube has helped me alot with learning simple songs and such. once you get E, D, G, C, F down you pretty much can play a load of songs. Learn how to play those basic cords and build off of it. I have been at it since Julyish of last year and getting better each week that I mess around. Am I any good? no, not even close but I am getting better the more I play but I am learning the cheap way, on my own.. -
