  1. Why not! Might even be some hot looking women there.
  2. Sidewinder, hope you have good luck. Sounds like some of you brass has been hot-rodded some. You probably already know this but, you really don't need to load the Hornet hot to get good loads. 2500 fps or so will work good out to 200 yards or better. Have fun.
  3. If anybody gets one this morning, show us a pic. Good luck to everybody.
  4. I've never loaded .22 Hornet myself but, a friend used to shoot and load a lot of it. He loaded 45 and 50 gr. bullets with H110. I always thought 2400 would be a good powder for it. I have loaded .223 cases with 9.0-10.0 gr. H110 and 2400 and had good accuracy. I used cotton balls to fill up the case. My friend used Hornady New Dimension dies and never had to many cases crumple. If lubed well, they held up good.
  5. Yeah, that's what I thought too. I load 47 or 48.0 gr. IMR 4895 with a 150 gr. Hornady Interlock or M2 150 gr. fmj. That's what I hear is about what was originally loaded.
  6. I really don't think they're all that ugly. Some other handguns are not all that attractive either. Like maybe..............A Glock.  They're pretty good guns for the money. Mine's like a tank.
  7. I don't have a problem with it. I usually only kill one buck a year anyway.
  8. I've never seen one, except pictures and tv. Maybe I will never see one around here.
  9. I did a late hunt this morning. I went out at about 8:30, and stayed out till 11:00 but, never heard or saw anything. We got a storm last night and its been windy all day so far.
  10. Whiskey, did you get that one Yesterday? I've not got to go all week. Didn't today either but, maybe Sunday. Looking for No. 4.
  11. I don't see many foxes these days. We do have a bunch of coyotes though. They compete and the coyote usually wins.
  12. Glad you had a good hunt. You've not heard any gobbling yet? Maybe it'll get better. There's usually at least a few mature toms in a given area. Don't give up, you might start to hear some gobbling.
  13. I've never used a strutter decoy but, have got a Feather Flex inflateable jake decoy, that I've used a lot over the years.
  14. Slappy, you pretty much nailed it as far as I'm concerned. Turkey hunting gets me fired up too. I love it.
  15. I like to use decoys if I have the time to put'em out. A lot of times I'm in the woods and don't put them out or don't have the time to. I don't think they are really all that necessary  in the woods. About all the hunting shows that I see, they use them in fields.
  16. I almost got no.3 this morning about 8:00am. He came in to one of my wingbones. He was at about 50 yards and I couldn't see him. A smart guy would've not moved his head to look for him................Apparently, I'm not a smart guy.
  17. Congratulations to everybody that's got turkeys. And good luck to the ones still trying. I've got 2 so far. Sorry, can't post pics. Something about resizing pics on this new computer with Windows 8. Anyway. No.1 Sat. 4th - 23lbs. 11.5" beard 1  1/8" spurs No.2 Sat. 11th- 21lbs. 10" beard   7/8" spurs.
  18. Sorry about your sisters gun having a crappy trigger. Mine's not bad at all. A friend had one in .40 Cal. that was a sweet shooter. He killed a bobcat at about 70 yards.
  19. I said they was tough. Mine so far has ate everything that I've fed it. Shoots good too. I also love that the mention of  Hi-Point, pisses off most snobby shooters. :woohoo:
  20. Yeah, I've read the actual warranty online, and it does say lifetime warranty for the  original owner. But, they have been very kind now for a while. I bought mine second hand and it had the peep sight on it. I really don't care for them on a handgun, and I called Hi-Point about buying a regular adjustable sight. The guy told me he only needed my name and address and he'd get one out to me. Free, no charge for anything. Awesome.
  21. I've heard bad and good things about Hi-Points but, I bought one and love it. What really got me interested was the awesome warranty. Mine runs great with no problems at all. Its a .45 JHP in black. A little heavy but, built strong.
  22. I've been meaning to get another choke just to try but, keep using my Hastings .640 choke. A lot of chokes will probably work good for you. I bought a box of Win. Longbeard XR #5 and they shoot great. I've not shot over 40 yards but, judging by how they did, they should be good at 50 or so.
