  1. Offer to pay for the transfer to you. That way if it does have a problem you will not be the one answering the questions.
  2. I bet the 300 Whisper/Blackout would mimic the 7 TCU. From reading it sounds like the effective ranges of the 7TCU and the 300 are about the same as well. And with the 300 you can buy ammo if you are not reloading. I do like having the better bullet of the TCU. What would be the cats meow would be a 6.5 TCU or a 256 Winchester Magnum. Both of those use even better bullets. I am currently looking for a 256 because they use 357 Magnum brass.
  3. And that is why he got a vacation rather than the boot. Hopefully his tact will improve.
  4. Well I am glad to see this took a serious left turn for the worse. And although I probably should just ban PalmSlap outright I am going to give him a vacation so he has time to poke around here to see how things work around here before posting again.   PalmSlap, after your vacation is over you are more than welcome to come back but be forewarned if you do your insults will not be tolerated for a microsecond.
  5. Mine is a 7.62x25 Tokarev loaded with a 168g SMK with a 45 ACP next to it for comparison. I was using it to shoot heavy, subsonic bullets long before subsonic loads were popular. I still long for a gun chambered in the caliber because it is an amazing caliber. It is probably one of the best defensive calibers out there but because it is an old Russian round no one takes it seriously. It is capable of defeating level 3 soft armor as well as level 3 ballistic helmets with surplus FMJ loads out of a pistol.
  6. SPP are a little more scarce than small rifle if buying them. Or if they are like me They didn't realize they were out of SPP until they were ready to load. DLM37015, David, is the only person I have seen with SPPs regularly. Might try contacting him to see if he had any. He also had the best prices of anyone. He is also very knowledgeable and willing to share it. You will not find a better person or a more honest business man either. He definitely takes care of his customers.
  7. It is safe to use small rifle primers for any case that uses small pistol. Dimensionally they are identical. You just need to ensure the gun will ignite the small rifle primer because they are generally harder than small pistol primers. You also need to work up loads again because some small rifle primers are hotter than some small pistol primers. I use, and stock up on, small rifle primers because I use them in my 9mm and 45 ACP. I have small primer 45 brass and my 1911 lights the small rifle primers just fine. My Taurus 24/7 OSS DSS in 9mm also lights small rifle primers just fine. Not it is NOT safe to interchange large rifle and large pistol because there are physical differences. Those differences can cause slam fires as well as out of battery discharges both of which are very, very dangerous for the shooter and bystanders.
  8. The best or the best for the money?
  9. What will it do that 7-30 Waters won't?
  10. They actually have it here, matter of fact there are quite a few available. Marinol is the most common one. Believe it or not but some of MJ based medications are for memory improvement as well as appetite suppressant. But the problem with these medications is they are either synthesized versions or versions with only one ingredient of MJ. MJ works so well because it is a combination of various compounds. When you only use one ingredient it is like having a pizza with no toppings, yeah it might get rid of your hunger but it isn't a pleasant way to get rid of it.   The CBD version of MJ actually does not have the euphoric effect like the THC version. Because most people want the euphoric effect most people who smoked MJ got the THC version and not the CBD version. In states where MJ is legal you can have a CBD version, a THC version or a combination depending on what you are looking for. There are a lot of people on the CBD version who live normal lives while actively taking it. The CBD version is what most people who are looking for pain relief use.   There is so many benefits we are not aware of with MJ because it is illegal. If it were legalized there would be a lot of studies to find out what else it could help. It is not a miracle drug but there is enough evidence now to support the fact it should be made available at least as a medicinal option. It has been credited with helping tens of thousands, if not more, live a normal life. From people who have debilitating seizures, to HIV treatment, to making cancer patients live a more peaceful life as well as tons of other ailments it helps.   Legalizing it also helps from a fiscal standpoint from taxes as well as freeing up prison space. And if it became legalized it doesn't mean we will be overrun by anti gun hippies.
  11. Call our reps and try to legalize MJ. I have done a lot of research and certain strains actually work better than most modern pain medications and they do it without the euphoric feeling. There are two basic strains of MJ. One has the euphoric feeling without pain relief and the has pain relief without the euphoric feeling. Then there are strains combining the two. The euphoric strain has concentrations of THC and the pain relieving strain has CBD. I have never smoked MJ but I believe it should be an option for people who have debilitating, chronic pain. It can't be any worse than the current pain medications.
  12. Good for you, and the dog. I think rescued dogs know how bad it was so they appreciate being rescued.
  13. PM me your address and I will send you some to compare.
  14. Is the frame polymer or aluminum? There were a few companies making frame for Glocks. They had them in polymer, aluminum and I think there was even one in steel if I remember correctly.   I carried a Glock, both at work and at home, and could never really shoot well with them. I tried but no matter how hard I sucked with a Glock and I suspect it was the grip angle because I am a 1911 guy.   I think the next pistol I buy will be a double stack 1911 in 9mm or 38 Super. Then I will do a 7.62x25 conversion on it. Problem is they are too expensive for me to buy it for a project when new. I would love to find one that is junk, that I could rebuild, for a reasonable amount of money.
  15. Are you going to compare V10 powder to the rest? http://glowinc.com/detail.aspx?ID=42
  16. That is the same price they were asking for Eley.
  17. This. The only way to fix an off center strike is to install a bushing. That is if the firing pin hole is drilled off center. Sometimes a firing pin swipe can look like an off center hit. Replacing the recoil spring can help with firing pin swipes. How many rounds through it? Not sure how often you are supposed to replace the recoil spring but with 1911s it should be between 1,000 and 1,500 rounds. The only other thing that can cause off center hits is a broken firing pin.
  18. Are you being serious? Toilet operation is a pretty basic concept for most men. This is really neat but bending over to wash my hands is out of the question for me.
  19. Mine took 344 days, door to door. Sent April 1st 2013 and received March 10th 2014.
  20. There is ALWAYS going to be a fair amount of back pressure. And especially when the blast chamber is so small there is likely to be a lot.
  21. I have done it two ways. I tried it using the two blocks like Red linked. And they work great, especially with uppers that are not forged.   I have also clamped the barrel into a vice and tightened down the barrel nut. It works just as good but I am always worried the locator pin on the barrel will mess up the upper receiver at the notch it fits into. So far it hasn't happened but it is a concern of mine.
  22. Probably more like 1.2 days for each day you wait. Times are growing exponentially.
  23. Take 1,400 pounds and divide it by the number of airports with working dogs. I bet is is such a minuscule amount that you could not blow your nose. It is likely being divided up for dog training. Likely to be placed in random locations or bags for the dogs to hit on do they don't loose all the time and get complacent. The amounts are going to be so small that it is useless as an explosive. If you don't let the dogs win every so often they will get burned out and not want to work.
  24. AR SBR is the other. My next set of forms are going to be a Saiga 12 SBS and probably a SBR Contender or Encore. I have a lot tied up in my Contenders do I don't want to start over with an Encore but the Encore is a lot stronger.
