What gun is it? -
Any rear end experts in the house?

When you are under the truck read the tag, or take a picture, that is on the back cover. It will let you know if it is posi and what gear it has. The tag should look something like this: If the ratio says something like this "3.00" then it is an open differential and should not be chirping at all. If the ratio says "3L.00" then it is a locker and may require the friction modifier. The numbers are the gear ratio so it may say "3.00", "3.55", "3.73" or even higher. If it is missing the "L" in the ratio then it is an open differential and should not be acting like a locker. The "L" in the ratio is the indicator for a locking rear end. The chirping is because the two axles are locked together now. Normally there is a friction setup that locks them together under high load situations but lets the outer wheel spin faster when turning. But because they are locked together now the inner wheel chirps as it tries to keep up with the outer wheel. The friction modifier is actually supposed to let the differential slip some. Without the friction modifier the wheels will act like they are locked together. I would say to try adding the friction modifier and then turn a few circles in both directions. Do not try to do donuts because the axles will just lock up under load. -

Was it in response to your WTB ad or did you find their ad? I have bought several guns from individuals in the past few months. It was nerve racking but it worked out fine. I am not a very trusting person when it comes to my money but I do have some trust in mankind. The vast majority of the ads on any of the sites are legitimate ads. If you found their ad I would say that it is legitimate. Now if they responded to your WTB ad I would be very, very cautious. I would ask for the serial number of the gun then ask for a picture of the serial number. If there are signs the picture has been edited then pass. I would also do a google image search of the first picture he sent you. I was looking for a gun and put up a WTB ad. I had someone contact me saying they had one and everything seemed legitimate until I did a google image search. That search turned up the exact same photo they sent me had been first put up on the web a long, long time ago. Make sure ALL communication about the deal is done through email or social media so there is a record. Do not work out the deal by phone only. But do ask for their number and call it. If they refuse to answer or call you with a blocked number then pass on the deal. Also, search the area code to ensure it is in the area they are supposedly from. If they do not match then pass. For payment I have always used a postal money order. If they want payment though paypal or by cash then pass. If the price seems too good to be true then pass. My biggest clue I was trying to be scammed was when a person was willing to sell me an $800 gun for $250. Look them up on Facebook. I had one scammer that turned out to be a stripper out of Florida. -
using Brasso with walnut shells in tumbler
Dolomite_supafly replied to seez52's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
When I was in the military I had a buddy who would brasso his duty rounds. I always wondered if they would go off. -
I put it in there after being asked to include it in the box and I will never tell(not because I don't want to but because I can't remember).

I would check this place out from time to time too. It isn't a very busy place but you can find a deal or two. http://www.encoreclassifieds.com/forum/index.php?t=I& Also, all my "deals" have been made after I put up WTB ads. -
Not always. For non-judicial punishment an officer will be deciding the punishment but it is the NCO that puts that soldier in front of the officer. I almost always counseled my soldiers to keep them from sitting in front of an officer. As far as punishment goes there is more than just non-judicial punishment. I have punished plenty of soldiers without any officer getting involved and the vast majority of soldiers hated the punishment but loved the fact I kept them from getting article 15s. A couple of hours of PT 3 times a day for several weeks definitely qualifies as punishment. Or having them check in with the CQ ever 4 hours for a few weeks also motivates a soldier to do what is right. Or having class A inspections at 11pm on Friday and Saturday night when their friends were all out at the bars. We, as NCO's, tried to keep officers out of our day to day NCO business if at all possible. The officers often complicated things more than they need to be.

But this can't be true because Chris Christie, who was claimed to be the next Republican savior, is the governor there. When he first hit the spotlight he was supposed to be the conservative's conservative and we see how he has turned. He is more liberal than most who have a "D" next to their name on the ballot. While we are at it lets talk Cruz. Seems like he has fallen awfully quiet as of late. I suspect he will fall in line with the rest and probably in record time too. The brightest stars burn out the quickest. They all will eventually turn like zombies. They go to Washington and are wanting to do good for the country. Then the representatives that are already there bite infect them with promises of getting rich. Then those representatives that once wanted the best for the country turn like all those before them. It is a never ending cycle and will be never ending until every person going to Washington realizes they have one term then it is back to work. Problem is most, not all, bring all their liberal views with them. They do not become diehard conservatives. They try to take the conservative states and turn them into the liberal states right before those liberal states when too far. I say let them wallow in the filth they created. If they want to live in a better place then they should make their own bed and not mess up mine.

You know what. Vacations given, if you are still here to see this then it wasn't you.

Not just the thread but a member or two also. Seriously, if we can't restrain from profanities and insults it might be time to clean house. I have ZERO problem with booting the next person who decides to try to push the envelope.

Looking for something to roll on. Prefer something that will cover splinters and cracks. The porch is covered. Btw, we need to cover about 600sqft so something reasonably priced would be great too.

Ours is destined for trouble because of he way he has been acting as of late. Getting into things he shouldn't be and being cantankerous in general. But even with him acting that way he IS a member of our family.

CZ9mm's Continual Reloading Thread
Dolomite_supafly replied to GlockSpock's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Yeah, that is what I am suggesting. The reason I like the Hornady is they do not have the funky interrupted thread design like Lee and they do not have the button you have to push to swap the dies out. The Hornady is just easier to use, especially if you have only one hand to use. -

It is. Personally I like the Hornady version a lot better than the Lee version but the Lee version will work. -

Do a search for "midway" using my name as the author. There is a good list I made up last year. -
I bet the block has writing on it. The reason they do this is because they write down information on the block AFTER the animal is killed. They do it to keep track of who killed it, what time, etc. It is not done to be cruel because the animal is already dead by the time the block is put in the mouth. It is what is used to tag the animal without putting holes in the ears or other areas. Out of curiosity, how would you mark a coyote with who killed it, when and where? The animal did NOT have its mouth taped shut while it was a live and then release alive. The animal was long dead before the block was inserted in the mouth.

The Boyd's Tactical stock is a GREAT stock for the money. There standard stocks are also pretty good.

I have heard the 30-30 can be a bit stiff, especially as a pistol.
