ISIS is different than a typical fighter you see in Afghanistan and Iraq. They believe they are doing the will of their God so they are confident and they will stand and fight, when necessary. They also pick and choose their battles like we do.

Hopefully we do not get drawn into defending Turkey if Russia lobs a few bombs a little north of their intended target.

Gus, which you helped on, is allergic to something used to process chicken for dog food. We have found food without any chicken in it and he does great. I also give him cooked chicken from time to time and he doesn't have any problems. But food with chicken meal cause violent diarrhea. Over the course of about 6 months we went though hundreds of dollars worth of food before we found out it was a chicken allergy. I do have a question, what is a good "diet" dog food? Are there any that are chicken free? The reason why is Gus eats more than he really should. We have tried reducing his intake but when we get to a level that maintains his weight he gets grumpy and will protect his food from other animals. As long as he is getting what HE wants he could not care less about the other animals but if he thinks he is back on his diet he becomes an ass. Gus is sounding more and more human by the day.

Who is making a trip from Knoxville to Nashville?
Dolomite_supafly replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Yeah, that would be great. I was giving him mine so if you give him yours I will make sure mine gets to someone that needs it. He was asking for a 17" and all I had was a 20". He was saying anything smaller than a 17" would not help him because his eyes are so bad, at least until the surgery. -
This is what you need to rid your yard of burrowing pests. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjdky7hBp-E Makes you wonder how many times a rodent has been fired out of its hole.

Allergies in dogs is like having allergies in humans. Just because one family member has allergies does not mean all family members will have the same allergy. We tried everything for one of our dogs because every years she would be covered in red, swollen patches from her itching and licking herself. We, literally, spent a lot of money chasing it and were about to give up until we tried a long term flea control pill. Last year was the first year, in 7, where she was not miserable for the summer. Our other dog has food allergies and it does not affect him other than diarrhea. We spent several thousand dollars fighting and treating a non existent bacteria overgrowth. And it was only when we decided to try another vet that we figured out it was not a bacteria infection. The previous vet did not do a basic test to check for bacterial overgrowth and just assumed that was what it was. Well a year later and thousands of dollars later another vet suggested we change foods and that was the problem. Without the help of dawgdoc we would have still been fighting it.

I cannot do anything until after Thanksgiving. I appreciate everyone coming forward to help. -
Flea allergy maybe. We have one dog that a single flea can put her allergies in overdrive.

I have a computer monitor that is going to Bersaguy. I just need someone to get it to him. Thanks

Sounds like raccoons. They dig holes the same size as you describe. They are digging up some sort of bug, maybe grubs. They normally are digging in my yard starting around midnight and go to about an hour before sunrise. They come around so much now that our cats hang out with the raccoons.

Why not shop for unapproved insurance and just pay the fine. For some that has to be cheaper.

GunTV shopping channel to start its shows in January
Dolomite_supafly replied to Pete123's topic in General Chat
Well yeah, I guess making it a success just to stick it to those in California is a good thing. -
Our leadership is so weak right now they cannot even call them terrorists half the time. And until we acknowledge who our enemies really are there is no way we can expect to defeat those enemies. Had our president not down played ISIS in the beginning maybe we would have done what was necessary in the beginning rather than sit back and watch them grow. Two years ago it would have been really easy to defeat ISIS but not now. ISIS will always be a threat in our lifetimes now and not because they are so good at being terrorists but because they have such a large following. They also enjoy strong financial support for other countries in the region. It was said that ISIS now has over two billion dollars stockpiled, more than Al Qaeda, Taliban or any other terrorist organization. That surprises me but even so he learned from somewhere. He may have built them but very unlikely he is self taught, not a lot of trial an error when building suicide vests. But with that being said anyone with 1/2 a brain could build a deadly device for CHEAP. The most technical part of it is the way they initiate. One of the cheapest and most effective explosives is sold at every gun show. And it is perfect because you can use gunfire, either yours or someone else's, to initiate it. Not that hard to strap a lethal amount to yourself either. Not going to go into great detail but it would be very, very easy for anyone to do.

Hardly what I was describing when I used the word "budget". If you are willing to spend the money you can have a reliable AR10.
-
Shooting anyone for revving their engine in your driveway will get you tossed in prison.
-
That is the easiest way to tell a G1 from a G2 which are both DPMS. I would not buy any 308 from a budget brand other than the DPMS G2. What brand is your 260? Dare I say not a budget brand?

Sounds like you need to negotiate for some more security during contract negotiations. Glad you are OK. Africa was the one continent I always wanted to go but not any more. Because of the roaming gangs of killers, Ebola and all the other things that can kill you I no longer want to go there.

If you can find someone to bring it to you from Knoxville you are more than welcome to have the biggest flat screen monitor I have that I am not using. I have 2-3 of them. Pretty sure the biggest should be in the 20" range but not positive. Definitely bigger than a 17" though. Hey, I wonder if that will work for..... Nevermind, I was hoping to impress the wife.

Here is some 9mm for ~$180/1,000. I have not bought 9mm in so long I have no clue what is a decent price any more.

Disabled wheelchair user holster ideas
Dolomite_supafly replied to Camaro_nut2001's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
You can legally open carry in this state so why not attach the holster to the chair and not worry about hiding your gun because you will be in your chair. Now if you spend any amount of time outside of your wheelchair you might consider having it on your person. An option you may not have thought about is a shoulder holster.
