RFC: unleashed dog, toddler, and a lowes parking lot ...
D3vo replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Years ago I was walking my large cocker spaniel and a chow targeted my dog and so picked it up. While my hands were full the Chow jumped and latched onto my dog’s hind leg. I could kick, but with my hands full that was all I could do. With this as my only point of reference I would have done what you did. -
I thought I did, but decided a .357 would be a better fit. The cost of ammo played a role and being able to shoot .38 is a bonus.

I was eating at a chinese buffet on the east side of Nashville. I had my CM9 in an IWB. I looked up from my sushi and there it was... The the tell tale sign of an HCP holder... The NRA ballcap. My wife, an HCP holder, came back to the table and I explained the significance of the NRA ballcap. It was then they got up to leave and I saw what looked like a K frame S&W in a Rick (The Walking Dead) style holster. I was presently surprised no once else in the restaurant seemed to care. I thought to myself "Right On Dude!".

There is possible exception. At least in my case the PT92 safety is on the frame so the grips need a cut out. The Beretta 92 is on the slide so no cut out is required.
-
My PT92 is blued, but has been perfect. I am a proud PT92 owner. MonkeyLizard has this and a Beretta 92. I am sure he will be along shortly.

This... and the buyer is still not detered.

Parabellum Armament AKARSâ„¢ (AK Adaptive Rail System)
D3vo replied to D3vo's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
If you decide to get one please post review. -
I purchased mine the first day it was available. It was sent to Kahr three times for FTF (nose drive Jam). My results are not typical because it was part of a "glitch" batch. I was told this, on the phone, by someone higher than first tier customer service. On the third visit they replaced everything, but the frame and it’s been perfect ever since. Pros Weight (Keltec PF9 is less, but I prefer the Kahr) Height (about the same grip length as a G26 and less than an XDSC). Trigger (This is subjective). Cons Round count is 6+1, but sufficient for most parts of town (Subjective). Limited availability of compatible aftermarket night sights. Kahr sells one, but I have read stories of them breaking off at the KahrTalk forum.

Firearm discharged in Murfreesboro Publix. I cant imagine.... Always tends to occur when gun legislation is pending. http://www.wsmv.com/story/17133159/firearm-discharges-in-murfreesboro-grocery-store

Did the first owner send in the warranty paperwork? If memory serves me the first owner has a five year warranty. I had to send mine in for work three times so that would matter to me. That being said if you did have a problem Kahr will make it right. I am proof of that.

Former Nashville man accidentally shoots wife in front of toddler

Isn't it obvious? She was nearsighted and he was only bringing the dot closer. -
That was unexpected and very generous of you. Thx..

A few days ago my Benefactor status lapsed, but I still have access to the Benefactor Lounge. Perhaps this is manual process and there is a delay, but wanted to report it.

D&T Arms has a good selection of Crossbreed SuperTuck holsters. I don't like waiting so I go there.

Sounds like the sun rises and sets with your dealer. How nice for you. Welcome to the forum where it sounds like you implied the two TGO vendors sell junk. Why do you feel that way?

I have placed two orders with them. One for a Lanber O/U shotgun and the other was an AR15 .22 conversion. No complaints.

I am looking for a rail system for my AK. I have heard that side mounted rails are much better than the dust cover mounted. Has anyone heard of the AKARS mounting system? It seems real new to the market and I like the look, but it's a not inexpensive. I have included a video of it being installed to provide more insight into its design. At one point the guy in the video says "this is the first time I have installed one of these". I call BS! He works for the company. Anyone have first hand experience with this? What are you mounting your optics on? Pictures would be great.

On Monday I took possession of my Arsenal AK47 variant (Warsaw Stock). This is my first AK and I am excited to find the right accessories, but keep the AK feel. I picked up the magazines at AIM Surplus. It's a great addition to my EBR family.

I had my windows done by Parker's Window Tinting in Murfreesboro seven years ago. The tint still looks like new..

911 caller reports Valentine's Day role playing (Kidnapping)
D3vo replied to D3vo's topic in General Chat
In my OP I conceded it’s a judgment call to pull your gun in the defense of another without all the facts. I am surprised given the facts (bound, gagged and naked) the majority of the responders choose be a good witness. I have always heard if you allow yourself to be taken to a secondary location your chance of survival is diminished. I am pretty sure if that was my wife in the back of the car I would want someone to draw and call the police. What is the level of escalation required to pull your gun in defense of a stranger? -
The sickness appears to be spreading. I bought my first AK last week, but still awaiting its arrival. I submitted an AK magazine question and I was impressed with all the knowledgeable answers. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/44451-who-makes-a-quality-ak-magazine/
