$300 Life Membership in National Rifle Association via Tom Gresham
D3vo replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Don't be worried. I did it and the NRA membership page already reflects the life membership. -

Sponsors pulling out of Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show

The show is "postponed". :surrender: oops... http://washingtonexaminer.com/nra-boycott-kills-outdoors-show-that-banned-assault-weapons/article/2519579#.UQFiKr_AexV -
Same here. As I understand anyone can upgrade or join as a life member for that price at least until the 28th of this month. I upgraded on Thursday. Occasionally you might be told. "All circuits are busy" which is awesome.

The Huffington Post is reporting the huge outpouring of NRA membership is due to the lifetime membership discount. It might play a part, but I think there is more than the discount in play. I looked at it as an opportunity to upgrade at a discount and still support the cause. I just don't know if folks that have never been members would be so moved simply because of the lifetime membership. NRA Membership Spike May Be Driven By Huge Discount http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/15/nra-membership-discounts_n_2481607.html?utm_hp_ref=politics "While some gun owners may feel jittery about the prospects of new legislation, the NRA is also giving them another incentive to join its organization. Since December, the group has been running a major discount membership campaign. The Huffington Post called up the hotline and was offered some impressive deals."

D3vo is now a new lifetime member of the NRA (upgraded from 5 year annual). Everything Will said is correct and let me add a few things. I called 1-877-NRA-2000 and the woman I spoke with told they had a $600 special. I looked at one of the other TGO threads and found 1-800-672-3888 option 3 and after waiting for 17 minutes spoke to an NRA representative. He explained they are having a lifetime membership offering until February 28, 2013 for $300. This is not a lifetime membership sponsor offer. You will not be asked for anyone's lifetime number.

Called the same number and they had no idea what I was talking about. They did say there was a special for $600.00.

Beth Harwell on gun legislation - 2013 session
D3vo replied to R_Bert's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't understand the point of this bill. My company policy says firearms are prohibited in my vehicle. Violation equals termination. I have an HCP so I can't be criminally prosecuted. Who is this helping? -
Sounds like a company having an identity crisis. The banner on the home page still says they plan to resume firearm sales not that it matters anyway.
-
You beat me to it. What added value is "which had a combat-style flash suppressor"? I think it's to give the masses the impression it had a can on it. Sounds uber-scary if the "sniper rifle" has a "silencer".

I am free market all the way and that doesn't stop when it suits me. It's protrayed as if we have members who don't know the price of a loaf of bread. Even before this panic there have been firearms way over priced and they sit. That is still the case today unless someone wants it bad. TGO is not an open market? I suspect the answer to that is it is an open market to the members who have paid to be Benefactors. The first three words of most of the objections to name your own price were I don't think, I will not and I also hate. All of these start with I. It's between the buyer and seller and it's natural to form a member opinion based on firearm price. I have some opinions of my own which stay my own.
-
In my history here I have seen more people chastised for "price policing". I have understood the policy to be you can ask anything you want. It's up to the buyer to nogatiate their best deal or not buy at all. If this policy has changed I must have missed it.

My pockets aren't big enough for the CM9. Its small as any 9mm that comes to mind. I switch between the Glock 26 and CM9. The Glock is surprising light for its size and capacity. So much so it's not a big jump from the G26 to the G19 which I also carry.

Possible Magpul Magazine Alert If You Have Patience
D3vo replied to runco's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I placed the same order. I don't see how it's a loser if I am not charged until shipped. -
How have you reacted personally? Bought guns? Mags? Ammo?
D3vo replied to hipower's topic in General Chat
I spent $600 on mags and ammo after the election because of the AWB statement in the third debate. Friday I purchased two more surplus AK47 magazines. The vendor put a limit of two per order. AK47 mags don't seem to have the PMAG markup. -
I am not going to say they didn't earn a bad reputation, but I got my order in 4 days.

Gone? I don't know what you mean? Less products?

I was going to say I have never had a Federal 525 bulk pack failure. :)

You beat me to it. That is as disturbing as the post.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I pulled the bullet last June. I will pee on and insult the next one for sure.
