  1. to me, my sidearm is useless if i hav to rack the slide to load a round. i can imagine myself saying to the perp, hang on so i can load my weapon...........
  2. hahaha i would be laughing my ass off if i ever heard an exchange like that. it is amazing how many unintentional cheauvanistic remarks get aimed at women about firearms.
  3. hummmm................... http://info.tnanytime.org/tngov/?p=1268 it says you can hunt with your modern handgun with the appropriate big game gun license.
  4. i have a 99 dodge dakota with a center console and bucket front seats. if im carrying in my fobus roto paddle holster, it is at 3 oclock and i adjust the cant forward for easy access around the seat belt. if it is in my uncle mikes IWB holster, i place it between the seat and the console. it is wedged very securely with the pressure from the seat against he console then my fat arse sitting in the seat. the pistol still slides out of the holster very easy even with my weight in the seat.
  5. so in a nut shell for the thread starter, you CAN NOT have a loaded pistol in your car or on your person while in TN unless you have a TN handgun permit or a permit that TN honors. lock the gun in the trunk in a lockable case (not required by law, but you decide) and lock the ammo in the glove box and you would be good to go. as easy as permits are to get in GA, i have yet to understand why so many gun owners in GA have not jumped all over the permit. its crazy how easy it is to get one. what is even more crazy is that the GA CCP acts as an NCIC check when purchasing a new firearm. what kinda dog poop is that? and it is a generic printed out permit with a fingerprint and no picture.
  6. new sights are located here. http://www.ombexpress.com/search.asp?q=night+sights $52 to $72 + tax depending on what "flavor" you want. Mepro-Lite, Trijicon or the Glock brand night sights. my 33 had the trijicons that were 12 years old, a bit faded but still glowed a little. i havent gotten any for the 27 yet, but that will hopefully come soon enough.
  7. you have my curiosity. what states are like that?
  8. http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/lax/35274458.html hahahahahaha!!
  9. any gun that requires a break in period to be reliable is a useless gun to me. just my 2 cents.
  10. thank god that s.o.b. will finally be gone. i wont believe it until i see it, but this is still great news. it made my day.
  11. directions to PC. http://www.mouseguns.com/prentice/prentice.htm
  12. Tennessee does not track or regulate the private transactions of firearms between two persons. just be damn sure the person who is getting the weapon (this goes for everyone) is not chester the molester.
  13. or the .40? i guess those two rounds will be included down the road as tests are run on each different caliber to see how it reacts.
  14. you can shoot reloads in a Glock, it is just not recommended by Glock. if you have a KB or any other round failure that results in damage to a Glock, it will not be covered under any warranty you might have on the pistol. i carry the Glock 27 with a +1 extension and one in the pipe, and a reg cap mag for the spare. in either a Fobus paddle holster at 3 oclock or in an uncle mikes iwb at about 4 oclock cantered forward for a better draw. target ammo is what ever is cheap, carry ammo is remington 239g jhp's. no pics on my pc or camera, and i am too lazy to take tem and upload to the internet. im off today and being very lazy =)
  15. you will soon be able to stroke it all alone. hahahahahaha
  16. there is Krystal and Burger King on Sig Mtn road, Merv's just up the road on Mountain Creek Road, The Crust (pizza dine-in), Waffle House, the Peking Madarin chinese place right at Dayton Blvd and Sig Mtn Rd, McDonalds and Mojo Burrito and Amigo's and Wendy's on Dayton Blvd and Nikki's right through the tunnel on Dayton Blvd (freaking Awesome place to eat, best hand dipped beer battered onion rings in the south, kickass Shrimp plates etc) and down the road from them is Tubby's Hamburgers. Merv's, Amigos, Tubby's, Nikki's and Mojo Burrito all serve the sauce. the Awful Waffle is improperly posted, so that is a moot point as far as i am concerned. i have been to Nikkis and Amigos, all three are great places to eat. they are sit down and take your time style of eating. Merv's is a bar, famous for its hamburgers, and it is a little faster than the other places. great food at all three places. if you have time to spare, i suggest Nikki's. they are cash only, no checks or cards. there is an ATM in the back. Tubbys recently opened the building they are in. for 20 years, it was a small hole in the wall trailer set up on the corner of Cherokee Blvd and Manning Street. then they opened this big ass place they are on now. i have not been there since they moved. one would think that they took the same style and equipment to the new place to keep tradition alive. after all, the burger is what made them a local favorite. who would want to screw that up?
  17. remember, Sunday November 16th @ 2PM at the Prentice Cooper firing range.
  18. we are seriously screwed. our gun rights are about to be screwed even more.
  19. bring it. i willl shoot it anyone bringing an AK or SKS? i have 20 rounds of Norinco 7.62x39 that was given to me and i want to shoot them. im tired of them being used as a paperweight.
  20. no i missed that video. i bet it is on youtube.
  21. i would love to ask Obama one question. just one. and it would be along the lines of if he thinks america would be better off without semi auto weapons, would he be willing to stake himself on that whim? and i mean go out in public without his armed secret service detail that protects every president in office. we would see how far that garbage went.
  22. wow i totally missed this thread. i have been busy riding my 4 wheeler at PC. even went to Aetna a couple of times too. hell that is as much fun as shooting =) back to the topic, the 16th should be good for me too. sad to say that the economy has been so horrible on my end, i have not fired a gun since we all met at carters back in march? i have owned this g27 since july 4th and have yet to pull the trigger. i think i need to break it in. now that i know about this event, i will get a couple of boxes of .40 (unless someone is gonna bring a crapload and you might want to sell some) so i can test this thing out.
  23. i stay out of all political threads. i may read a post here and there, but for the most part i just stay out of them. it is too big of a headache to get involved with. i did, however, get this in a email from the http://www.thegunsource.com website and i figured it was worth posting up here. it might already be in a thread here, and if that is the case, please take the appropriate action on this thread (delete, merge, etc.) Barack Obama is not your guy and will never be. 24. i drop the mag, then point the pistol at the ground, cupping my palm over the ejection port. i open the slide so as it opens, it ejects the round into my palm, i close my palm. i then operate the slide 2 or 3 more times then i lock it open. i then raise the pistol slightly (still aimed at the ground) to visually see down the barrel, then i look in my palm to verify i have the round.
  25. the top of the spring has to be under the slide pin that you have to remove to replace the slide lock. my old glock did the same thing. the pin had backed out while firing 400 rounds through it and when it moved enough, the gun was locking open after each ejection. i replaced the slide lock with the extended version and replaced the pin and never had that problem again.
