  1. What? What about http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12
  2. I've watched them for a while....I really like 'em. They are actually in California, the guy who plays Dunlap is from somewhere in TN orginally. "Jackie" is actually only 38 years old. http://www.travisandjonathan.com/
  3. I really doubt there is any source of information that you could show to your Grandfather-in-Law that would change his mind. He feels the way he feels. There is a reason people say not to discuss politics and religon. I'm sure he has had this opinion for most, if not all, of his life....and there isn't anything that is going to change it now.
  4. From Handgunlaw.us FAQ page, #5 It is illegal to carry in any National Park even if you have a Permit/License that is legal in the state the park is in. When in a National Park your firearms must be unloaded and stored in the trunk of your vehicle. If you do not have a trunk the firearm must be in a locked box behind the seat in a Pickup or all the way in the back of an SUV.
  5. As long as it's not a box in the Post Office.
  6. Looks like the post office has ended any questions... From Handgunlaw.us FAQ page, Question 4 #4 Question: Can I legally carry in the Post Office? Answer: No http://vlex.com/vid/19777182 Title 39 - Postal Service Chapter I - United States Postal Service Subchapter D - Organization and Administration Part 232 - Conduct on Postal Property 232.1 - Conduct on Postal Property. Paragraph L (l) Weapons and explosives. No person while on postal property may carry firearms, other dangerous or deadly weapons, or explosives, either openly or concealed, or store the same on postal property, except for official purposes.
  7. That is probably what it is going to take. There was discussion in post 31, 32, 35 and 39 as to whether a lawyer was needed to do this or not.
  8. Welcome
  9. Sorry for the late reply.... Up to thay point in the thread I don't think he was being so much "pro-Glock" as simply "anti-anti-Glock" at least without a more resonable argument other than the lack of an external safety. I don't think my glock is the perfect wepaon, but I don't think it is any more less perfect than most others either.
  10. Concealed Carry does not affect the way I dress. If I was going to open carry I might dress more the part.
  11. Welcome

  15. It is still preformed...in fact a bill passed last year to send $15 of the $115 to the local sheriff for his part in checking the truth of the application. HB3410/SB2720 There were bills to lower the HCP fee from $115 to $100, instead they decided to leave it at $115 and send the $15 to the sheriff.
  16. The biggest variable is each different sheriff. Remember a copy of your application is sent to the sheriff of your county of residence. He has 30 days to reply...some may do it the same day...some may not at all and the DOS has to wait the whole 30 days (plus mailing time) to know if they are going to reply.
  17. I'm glad it has been worked out. Still can't help to wonder what caused it in the first place and why VA felt the need to act so quickly to drop reciprocity before trying to work things out?
  18. Well if for some reason it's not worked out by then (although it should be) don't go unarmed....just OC.
  19. Guess that's the difference between a permit to keep it in your house (not required in TN) and a permit to carry in public (still not allowed in DC)
  20. I thought that was the case as well. In addition to being a place that serves alcohol for onsite consumption.
