You need a Light Box and a software called Light Room. Whenever taking pictures of a single object that are relatively small, a Light Box will really make them pop and bring out all the fine details which I'm pretty sure, you want to be able to capture. From your pictures -- Although neat, really don't capture the fine detail. Example (From My Own Collection)

So who thinks Obama should be re-elected?
Stopping a ticking time bomb is better off than not, even if the other guy is a complete dud. We know what we will get with the one. At worst, it's just a matter of putting on the brakes for that. Difference is for our side, we don't consider our candidate to be the messiah. The other side does. So at least we are sober and can acknowledge that while everything might not turn to sunshine and lollypops, going the other way is going to mean eating a lot of turd sandwiches.
This is where I differ from many ... The ticking time bomb NEEDS to go off before anything of substance will happen. Until then (1-5-10 years) -- Everyone will continue to live in a false *utopia* -
If what you hope for happens, it's likely we will be a banana republic in less than the term. What's this class warfare about? It may be likely that a Romney presidency won't fix things, but I would rather have him over another term of encroaching communism. Or, even worse:sharia rule. With Valerie Jarret doing her thing in Iran, I imagine worse things are on the horizon.
Don't get me wrong 6.8 AR, I've already voted for Romney. Its just, I'm of the opinion - Nothing will get done either way. I highly doubt we'll encroach communism (or worse - Sharia Law) -- However, with that said -- It brings about the end sooner rather than later ... The media has done an excellent job spinning/covering for OBummer, the last 4 years ... will they be able to continue to do it over the next 4? I doubt it .... Either way, I look at this election as a wash. The USofA will be no better off, whoever is elected, and my generation, and my children's generation, will pay dearly if the bottom doesn't fall out beforehand. -

xRUSTYx replied to TNMP40's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
For Gun Owners = Probably Not For Gun Manufacturer/Dealers = Absolutely In the end, I hope Obummer gets re-elected, thus in essence, drowning the middle class, and causing the rich to become hermits. After 4 more terrible years, I pray a REAL conservative win's the nod and can captivate/change America's way of thinking, and move this country back to the power house we once were. If Romney get's elected now, he'll be a 1 term president who doesn't get much done. Because he won't get much done -- America's focus will be back to Democrats/Liberals come 2016. This is what I fear. -
Excellent Video .... Ending it with Ronald Reagan gave me chills

Seriously....whole AC units being stolen!?!
xRUSTYx replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I used to own a couple rental houses in memphis. Was able to sell one last year, and planned to sell the other this year. Anyways ... On the duplex I owned -- Right from the get-go, HVAC Units were caged & bolted to a concrete pad. Crooks RIPPED the cage off the concrete pad about a year ago. That's when I realized, I need to get out of the memphis rental market. Had it replaced, and all was good up until 2 months ago. The entire duplex burnt down. Luckily no one was hurt, and insurance covered the total loss. Never again will I buy property in Memphis. -
spanking is hiting. And most of you believe in it because you were hit or spanked. You are hitting someone who has a brain that is not yet developed fully and it doesn't until about age 20 or so.
So, in other words -- You don't believe kids can fully understand the situation. If that's the case, how would YOU discipline? Because according to you, if a child can't understand, or reason with an adult, timeouts, being sent to their room, not eating because they won't eat their veggies, etc... ALL would not work, because a child's brain has not yet fully developed.
I go back to my previous statement about firearms being a subjective item. Should I buy a Glock 19? has turned into another thread with suggestions for multiple other firearms.
As it should be LOLOL I would like to add, the OP in his title does state "or your reason not to" -- That right there is an invitation to open up firearm suggestions!!!! LOL
Only issue with the PPQ is the price for spare mags Sent from my SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Magnum Research is the one that actually makes PPQ mags. If you go around Walther and order non branded Magnum Research magazines, the are relatively cheap. The only difference between the two mags is red/black follower, and no special coating. $25-30? PRODUCT Magnum Research BDE Fast Action 9mm 15 Round Magazine PRICE $27.78 $111.12 This is from my receipt -- I bought 4.
The cost of spare mags isn't the only issue with the PPQ. Try and find the gun itself! Everywhere you look they're sold out. I was seriously considering one, except I won't buy any gun sight-unseen, and there's no place around here that has or can get one.
The distributors that local shops around TN use, don't seem to be getting any. I'm sure, if you called up 10-12 gun stores around you, someone will have a 9 or 40 for you to "feel" As for buying them -- It was tricky a few weeks/months back, but it looks like S&W just imported quite a few as they can be found quite a few places: http://grabagun.com/walther-ppq-9mm-4-1-blk-pol-15rd-fs.html http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/72065/Walther+PPQ9+9mm+4.1%22+15Rd.+Black

Walther PPQ would by my suggestion .... Better trigger & grip angle than the Glock. Downsides to a PPQ - Aftermarket is taking a while to catch up, and the bore axis is a bit higher. Next option would be an XDm 9mm Compact. Lastly Glock. Glocks are incredible firearms, I've just never cared for them, and I've tried to several times Hit up a local range and go shooooot some holes in paper and go from there!

Spanking it a touchy subject. I'm all for it, FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. The goal of the spanking is to teach discipline. Spanking every day = obviously your approach to discipline is wrong, and misguided. IMO - Spanking is the ultimate discipline and should be used as such. When it pains you as a parent to spank your child, that's discipline. If you start to feel anger/relief/enjoyment from spanking your child = borderline abuse. When a child is spanked in the heat of the moment, many times, it can turn abusive. I was taught to allow a good 45-60 minutes of timeout/stay in room/prepare for spanking, prior to the parent/guarding spanking. This not only allows the child to think about what they did and what is about to happen, it also allows the parent to calm down, talk with their child about what they did wrong, and issue discipline correctly with the correct mindset, instead of abusively and taking their rage/anger/resentment out on their child.

Is this actually in literature, or simply a *gray* area? Thanks for the feedback Lumber Jack If I go this route, I just want to make sure I don't have a date with concrete walls & bars LOL

I'm about 75% sure, adding any sort of angled or vertical foregrip to an AR "Pistol", will make it an AOW and would thus require a Tax Stamp. SBR = Buttstock AOW = Angled/Vertical Foregrip Pistol = Neither -- Buffer tube with no serrations to attach a buttstock later I'm not entirely up to snuff on this, but I remember reading this somewhere .... our educated NFA veterans on this board might be able to answer this better than I

Glock30, Absolutely LOVE the build. The Double Diamond small glock receiver is on my short list. Question if I may ... This: "YHM ramped bolt, machined to accept Glock magazines by Double Diamond" Did you send DDLES the ramped YHM bolt, or is this the bolt they advertise here: http://www.shop.doub...ber-Bolt-BB.htm Thanks! I hope to build myself a 9mm dedicated AR here in the next few months! It will be my first build, so I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row!

Chicago's at it again! Morons!!

From the article: I can almost guarantee, those "29%", were likely STOLEN (although still purchased legally originally) or from people defending themselves. -
This is simply just awesome, and I'm quoting it so I can come back to it later LOL

This is what I'm currently in the midst in ... I've seen plenty of 5 acres homesteads that I just KNOW would piss off neighbors since they are all 5 acre tracts around. I"m looking for a MINIMUM of 10 acres, preferably 15-20+ Patrick - You plan to say around the Shelby Co area? Or plan to move to Middle TN? Robertson & Sumner counties have some good land -- and at MOST, 45-50 minutes to downtown Nashville. Cheatem has some good parcels too, but property tax is nuts in Cheatem .... I plan to stay in Robertson or Sumner

Sweet! Very happy to hear everyone made it out safe & sound and much of the inventory made it out as well! I had a rental house in Memphis burn down a couple months ago. Terrible, Terrible, thing to happen! Here's hoping you build back bigger & stronger! Good luck Daniel & Crew!
