You are like an encyclopedia for anything firearm related. As I have seen others mention before. We thank you for your advice and insight! -

Well. I have shot several across my chrono and they average around 1075-1100. That's with 10.0 gr of IMR4227. I'm gonna drop it to 9.6-9.7gr. I don't know how accurate the chrono is. -

Here is a picture of the suppressor on the rifle. Video link coming soon. It's pretty quiet. -

Looks like most people get early 40s issue. We shall see. -
I just used my C&R to make my first purchase. A Swiss K31. I ordered it from Classic Firearms. I'm pretty excited.

Manchester gun show Dec 27th 28th
2006Blackpearl931 replied to 2006Blackpearl931's topic in Events and Gatherings
I took an AR to sell. Made a info tag and put around the barrel so people would know it was for sale. Had 2 inquiries. Of course I didn't stay long, so that may have been part of it. If you need gutter guards, a taser, a Chinese knife or overpriced 22lr then it may hold your interest for a half hour. -

Do not bother going. What a freakin joke... -
http://www.greatamericanpromotionsllc.com/ Just a little gun show today and tomorrow In Manchester. It probably won't be anything to write home about, but the weather is suppose to suck all weekend so I guess I will go. I've got an AR I might take to try and sell. The last time they had a show here in Tullahoma, I did pick up some reloading supplies pretty cheap.

300BLK. I've loaded up a bunch of subs using your IMR4227 recommendation. Using 208gr Hornady bullets. -

DS, yours will be much quieter though. I considered doing some funky angles and stuff like AAC does on their monocore, but decided as much volume as possible is more important to me. -

Well. Here is what I have so far. 304 stainless steel core. 8" length. 1.375 O.D. Blast chamber is 2.125, then four .900 chambers and last a 1.100 chamber. The groove is for an O ring. It is a direct thread. I may do a few small modifications to a few baffles to disrupt flow. -

I will take a few pics of the machine work. And post results from the range. I'm planning a monocore design for my 300BLK AR. -
So I mailed a Form 1 on March 15th. Got my stamp in the mail today. It actually got here sooner than I was expecting. I will be busy in the shop tomorrow!

Hopefully the carrier can do something to aid in your disappointment, even if they can't help with the rifle. What an awesome piece of world history you have there!

What is crazy is how long this supply/demand shortage has lasted. SH was a few days shy of 2 years ago. And 22lr is just now starting to make an appearance on store shelves without the same 3-5 guys standing in line to buy every box. Does this mean in time we will see 22lr prices drop like AR rifles and components have? You couldn't even find an extractor spring for an AR after SH. Stripped lowers were going for $300-$400 dollars each. Now you can buy turn key rifles for $500. I just wonder if we will see prices drop somewhat closer to "normal" once it starts accumulating on store shelves.

I bought my first box in over 2 years today. Found a Remington 525 pack at Dunhams here in Tullahoma for $23. I was so excited.

Form 1 efile question
2006Blackpearl931 replied to jacob's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Where the heck are you guys doing these eFiles? I snail mailed a Form 1 back in March. I want to do another Form 1, but waiting a month an a half is very appealing as compared to how long I am waiting on the first form I sent off. -
"Have a nice day" wouldn't have been possible had Riggs been shooting a Glock.

300 BO pistol build. Suppressor?
2006Blackpearl931 replied to Wingshooter's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I am currently waiting on a form 1 stamp to arrive so I can build a can to complete my 300blk project. 10.5" barrel and the can will be integral to get around having to SBR. I plan to make a 8"x1.5" monocore with a thread on sleeve and weld it to the barrel. All stainless. Similar to the Sig Sauer MPX design. While the monocore isn't quite as efficient as baffles, it will provide me a solid piece attached to meet minimum length requirements. Besides, it will only see subs and should have enough internal volume to hush them nicely. -
If you get the trigger fixed and decide you like the rifle.... There is a guy based in Murfreesboro TN that makes custom parts for them. His business is called Gear Head Works. I don't own a Tavor, but have seen some of his stuff and it's top notch. Just thought I would mention it.
